Pearsons helped me sell my elderly uncle’s bungalow in Romsey when he went to a care home. I was living 2 hours away and they made the whole process so easy for me. They checked the empty house once a week, organised a plumber when there was a leak and organised house clearance and a deep clean before completion. At times I also felt like they were doing the job of our overpriced solicitors! I really cannot recommend them highly enough. A special mention to Karin who was so kind and helpful to me through this whole process.

I rented a property managed by Pearsons from 11/07/2025 until 10/08/2026, paying £1,650 per month. Unfortunately, my experience of the property management and now the handling of my deposit has been extremely disappointing.<br><br>I never dealt directly with the landlord as everything went through the letting agent. However, from my experience, it often felt as though there was little willingness from the landlord to spend the money required to properly resolve issues, leaving management dealing with problems that repeatedly returned.<br><br>One of the biggest issues was the downstairs toilet/drainage. We had serious ongoing problems and were eventually told by management that we should only use the downstairs toilet for “number 1s”. I find it unbelievable that tenants paying £1,650 per month should have to live with that rather than the underlying problem being properly resolved.<br><br>There were also drainage issues outside the property which, in my experience, were never properly addressed. Interestingly, there were spare/leftover drainage components stored in the greenhouse, which certainly suggested drainage work/issues had existed previously.<br><br>The garage also flooded, causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage to my belongings and several valuable items. Despite raising this, I was effectively told that they were not responsible.<br><br>What makes the situation even more frustrating is the way the deposit is now being handled.<br><br>When I moved into the property, it was far from immaculate. There were visible patches in the paintwork, filler marks that had not been properly sanded or repainted, black marks around windows and numerous other cosmetic defects. I accepted the property in that condition and got on with living there.<br><br>Before moving out, we thoroughly cleaned the property. Floors were vacuumed multiple times and mopped, and I have photographic/video evidence of the condition in which it was left. Yet the checkout report now repeatedly refers to things such as “light debris” and “debris to floor”, which are apparently being considered when dealing with my deposit.<br><br>The fridge/freezer has also been raised despite it already being damaged when we moved in. We were specifically told we could either put it in the garage or arrange for the council to dispose of it if we did not want it. I therefore cannot understand why its condition or cleanliness is now relevant.<br><br>After paying £1,650 per month and dealing with unresolved maintenance issues during the tenancy, it is extremely frustrating to now have minor cosmetic/cleaning points scrutinised when the property itself was handed to us with numerous existing defects.<br><br>I appreciate that a letting agent has to represent the landlord, but tenants are also paying customers and should expect maintenance issues to be properly resolved and deposits to be dealt with fairly and consistently against the condition of the property at check-in.<br><br>Based on my experience from moving in, throughout the tenancy and now during the deposit process, I personally would not rent another property managed by this agency.

Pearsons have just sold my Aunts bungalow, it was definitely not an easy sell as the property wasn't registered or had any deeds or building reg paperwork!<br>However Adam and Gina, and all the team were so helpful and the communication between the buyers and myself was amazing, all facilitated by Adam and Gina and the great team at Pearsons in Southampton.<br>I would definitely recommend them.<br>Thank you Pearsons.

My wife and myself have been staying in an apartment managed by Pearsons for a year before moving to London. I have to say over the course of the year we had a very supportive agency especially Angela who always supported us whenever we had any queries. Highly recommended if you are looking to rent in the area.

We were with Pearson's in Fareham for 4 years renting. Lizzie and Della were absolutely great. Nothing was to much trouble and they were always helpful with a smile. They became more like friends. We are sorry to have had to leave them. Keep u the good work ????????????????????????

We had no problem in selling our late mother's house through Pearsons. They were very good with the negotiating process and the property sold very quickly. They were very professional, friendly and explained the whole process (and options) of selling the property.
