After some seriously sketchy solicitor work, and putting an offer in 5 months ago, finally picked up the keys yesterday. A few months back I contacted Pearsons to help me chase (basically everyone about everything). I was dealing with Claire Houghton and she's been nothing but superbly diligent from start to finish. It felt almost like she was moving in! She was passionate and helpful, very responsive to all emails. She even emailed me a response at 11pm one night. If that doesn't deserve a bonus/raise for customer service I dont know what does!

We decided to go with Pearsons for our house sale based mainly on how professional they'd been when we were looking for our next home. Jeremy was patient and had great local knowledge - he was the steadying hand we needed at times! The whole sales team were brilliant and kept us up to date with all aspects of our sale - selling a house is something we hadn't done for more than 20 years so it was lovely to be able to ask anything we wanted and to receive a prompt and professional call or email back. Once we'd accepted an offer it was great to have Claire as our single point of contact, this made it possible to liaise with our buyers through Claire without the complication of explaining what was going on to another person each time. Claire helped push the sale through by letting us know what our buyers solicitor was dealing with and letting us know what was going on with our buyers.
Our sale had some minor complications and Claire was a reassuring person to help steady the ship - we're very pleased with this particular aspect of the sale. I still think using an estate agent is a great idea in 2024 - we'd have been much more stressed if it wasn't for the team at Parsons, thank you!

Me and my wife were really impressed with the helpfulness and positive attitude of the lettings team, Lizzi Kenyon and Sarah Collins. Two viewings (one at 5.30 pm, one at 2 pm on a Saturday) were arranged around our work schedule. They kept us updated at every stage of the referencing process and we're prompt to reply to emails. This review is written from the perspective of a tenant : in this instance Pearson's were acting as an introductory agency, and from my point of view did an excellent job for their client.

From the initial introduction visit through to the handover of keys, everything with Pearsons felt very personal. Sound advice on all aspects of the process was offered throughout, including the very difficult decision to “split” our chain in order to ensure we retained our buyers. Regular progress updates on how the move was proceeding were provided by the team which in turn gave us the confidence that we were fully informed of all that was happening.
Specific praise for Anne from the Sales Progression team is fully deserved, her professionalism, honesty and tenacity helped us through this stressful period of time.

Agents declined showing to my son who is a student with guaranteed income but would not accept his academic financial award letter as proof of income for a £1250 rental when we have been paying £1700 per month without issue for the last 3 years (academic monies are guaranteed vs unreliable employment income when people get laid off at the drop of a hat + businesses shut down more and more these days). They wouldn't even consider pursuing our interest with a UK guarantor. Needless to say, a horrible experience. Thanks for nothing.

Cannot speak highly enough of our experiences of working with Claire at this branch in what was an extremely difficult and very protracted purchase. Claire was the pinnacle of professionalism, empathy and boundless patience in what was an extremely complicated and ever changing chain. Claire worked hard to ensure that everyone in the chain knew exactly what was happening - it wasn't her responsibility to do this but she coordinated everything so that people at every level of the chain could coordinate. If only our solicitors had been so organised and efficient! I firmly believe that had she not been involved the entire chain would have collapsed multiple times.
I never want to go through the process of moving again, but if I were to do so I would go to Claire specifically because I trust wholeheartedly that she would ensure as smooth a process as possible.
She has the patience of a saint - and was the one person I trusted throughout the entire process to not dissemble, misinform or ignore our requests.

Pearsons have been managing our property in Fareham for us since 2018 when we moved to another country. We have not had to worry about the house during this time due to the wonderful service Liz and her team provide. They have marketed the property for us twice and found suitable tenants quickly. They have also overseen the purchase and delivery of kitchen appliances, as well as finding contractors for various work projects, both large and small. They conduct regular property checks to ensure all is well. Communication with ourselves and the tenants is prompt and efficient. We couldn't be happier with their service, and thank them for their professionalism and diligence.

I could literally write a multi page review on how terrible these people are. But I'm not willing to dedicate the time as I have already wasted too much time with these useless people.
Never reply in good time, never communicate with other people in their own office, don't communicate to the landlord, very unprofessional when they do reply. If I provided the level of service at my job that these people do, I would be sacked and with good reason.
Please avoid Pearsons Lettings at all costs.

It is with great shame I'm having to write this review. My wife and I booked a viewing with them and we were told we could arrive early if we wanted to, which we did. The door was open but no one came out, however, could hear someone talking inside and when I shouted through the open front door, a gentleman popped his head around whilst on the phone and indicated he will be a couple of minutes. We waited for 15 minutes and then decided we were not going to wait any longer to view the property out of principle and disrespect which we felt was shown to us. Whilst driving away, which he could see, he ended the call and came out to commence the viewing, which we declined.
What worried me was that the vendors front door was left open and we could hear everything the estate agent was saying on the phone. If I was the vendor, I wouldn't have been too pleased to have my front door open to the world for over 15 minutes. Also, the estate agent didn't have any respect for the privacy of the person on the other end of the phone - this is worrying, especially if they are discussing personal details.
There was no respect or courtesy shown and it is not something people should accept. Granted, the viewing was booked for 2.30, but why phone to say we could turn up early if the estate agent wasn't in a position to show us around?
Customer service training is needed for the gentleman who showed us around and also data protection and protecting client privacy issues need to be addressed.
One of the worst customer service experience from an estate agent I have ever received. It is my belief a great disservice was done to the vendor of this property by the agents instructed to sell on their behalf.

Pearsons at Fareham are simply amazing AGAIN! We have dealt with Jeremy & Mark for at least 25 years in many purchases and sales. Them & their team are incredibly professional. In fact I was stunned to read two negative reviews - they could not have been real customers surely? The difference between this and other estate agents are that Mark & Jeremy have not moved from agents to agents or areas. Their knowledge of Fareham is vast, I would doubt if between them there isn't a house they probably haven't even been in.

I'm surprised at the negative reviews on Google as if it wasn't for Pearson's help I believe the exchange process would have dragged out for weeks. Every time I have had to call them they have gotten back to me the same day with an answer or as much info that they could find out, and they have always been friendly and professional.

Absolutely dreadful at customer service, they rarely do what you've already had to chase them up to do, and they then get rude when you persist. Solely interested in squeezing every lost drop of money out of you that they possibly can, up to and including making it so difficult for you to counter their spurious deposit claims. Sent off to adjudicator only to see agent had made damaging and demonstrably false allegations against my character. Never will I deal with such incompetent, uncaring and avaricious idiots again.
