14th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.
27th Feb 2024 (22 weeks ago)Requested a home report in June 2023, none given. Asked my solicitor to request it, no response. Asked in February 2024 for another report and June 2023 report, no response. Spoke to one of the agents on the telephone once. He kept referring to me as sir despite me telling him numerous times I'm a Miss. Unprofessional and I feel sympathy for their clients who are using them to sell their property. They unfortunately aren't aware that they simply don't respond to requests for home reports so they're sat on the market for prolonged periods. Avoid.

I have recently called on their services once more and am grateful to Bernard for the efficient and professional way he worked to rapidly secure new tenants for my let property. It is pleasing that the good service that I have enjoyed in the past continues.
25th Mar 2024 (18 weeks ago)When I decided to sell my house in Barrhill I consulted with the long established agent who sold the house to us, some 16 years before. He quoted a sale figure with which I was happy. I was chatting socially with a dear friend who once worked with Kevin Doyle at 'Bruach' and she suggested that I get a second opinion from them. Without even seeing the house Kevin told me that he could achieve a fair asking price, some 30(% above the quote obtained from the original agent. He and Karen his negotiator were dulying instructed., Many hours were spent with drones and cameras and within 4 days an extremely professional brochure was submitted for my approval before being lodged with 'Rightmove'. To my utter astonishment an offer was made (after viewing) at over the asking price within 5 days of hitting the Internet and the sale eventually concluded successfully. If you want an honest, accurate, objective and achievable outcome totally unencumbered by local entrenched attitudes and practices, then Bruach should be your first stop. If you want a personable, professional team on your side with a healthy dose of excellent advice leavened by good humour then you will find all of these with Kevin and Karen. I recommend Bruach without reservation and am happy to speak to any of their clients, whether buying or selling, to underpin and confirm this review. James D
31st May 2024 (8 weeks ago)We used GAP estate agent to sell our property. All the staff were friendly and excellent in their communication with us. Every query or matter was dealt with promptly. A special thanks to Laura and Jan who we mainly dealt with. Laura certainly went that extra mile to help wherever she could. We were also recommended a local couple for conducting viewings and they were excellent. Overall a very good experience and we would recommend GAP. Thank you.
21st Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)Having made an absolutely seamless purchase of my new bungalow guided and aided by Kirsty McCormick who was so professional from our first phone call to the last call saying everything had completed. Communication was first class Kirsty was plain speaking with her explaining Scottish property law to us as with most law related things 50 words where a few will explain the situation as good and that is what Kirsty did on a number of occasions. A complete pleasure to deal with Kirsty thank you.
29th Nov 2020 (3 years ago)We reviewed a number of local Estate Agents before selectin Galbraith to market our property in Dumfries & Galloway. We weren't disappointed. Quality photos and a video were produced, and our property particulars were well written then edited to our exact requirements. Communication was superb and our Galbraith contact liaised directly with our Solicitor. As a result of the quality presentation we sold successfully, at above Home Report value, within a few days in a difficult market. Highly recommended!

Peter and his team know what they are doing and provide the standard of service you would expect from a company at this level, easily. I cannot recommend Savills highly enough and will certainly use them again in any property sale or purchase.

They kept us informed from start to finish and Chris and Nicole were a ????, all staff is really hard working trying to sell houses. We would definitely recommend a LOCAL estate agent ( we had a very bad experience with online major agency who were totally opposite).Good luck everybody ????
13th Dec 2023 (7 mo. ago)There was a few mistakes which could have had consequences like not reducing price in window for 7weeks. They only contacted you to give feedback, arrange viewing which were not many or to discuss reducing price. No other options apart from price reductions were offered and felt this wasn’t pro active enough. Very disappointed.

The Rockcliffe Suite, The Old Exchange, Castle Douglas, DG7 1TJ(204 reviews)30th May 2024 (8 weeks ago)Unfortunately, this is the third Historic Scotland site I have visited in Dumfries within 4 days that has been closed, with the same signs and no hint of when it might reopen. It's a nice walk across the nature reserve to see the castle from a distance but ultimately it's currently a walk with a view of a castle. It's a shame you can't even go on the boat and walk around the outside, even if you can't go inside.

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
