30th Mar 2026 (24 weeks ago)Peter Murray made an illegal will for my uncle, Sir Michael Maxwell Bt, in 2013, who was in the depths of frontal lobe dementia (this was against medical and legal advice). They were the sole executor and sole witness to this will. Micheal had been sectioned and told he could not make a will in England prior to this. They hid a relevant doctor’s letter which was only extracted by lawyers. The firm has refused to admit liability despite overwhelming and unequivocal evidence and caused huge headache a heartache for our family over the past 5 years and huge legal costs. They are unprofessional and to be avoided at all costs. They have also stopped family staying at our family home - Monreith- and prevented my mother’s burial there. It is disgusting. The contents of the will are inconceivable to all family and destroy our family’s 800 year history in Dumfries and Galloway.

From our very first viewing to completion, Gil was consistently welcoming, patient, and incredibly supportive. She always gave us a listening ear, answered every question with care, and made what could have been a stressful process feel smooth and reassuring. Her professionalism was matched by her kindness, and we always felt like we were in safe hands. 3rd Sep 2026 (11 days ago)This company’s signage is literally a red flag.<br><br>Take note - and if you know what’s good for you - run.<br><br>If you’re a prospective tenant, don’t just take my advice… read the pages and pages of reviews of this company from other people who have been put through hell by these people.<br><br>Junior lettings staff - who was given the responsibility by her management when she was 5 minutes in the door with zero experience to remotely manage a full electrical rewire of the flat I was due to move into, at the tail end of Covid. The electrics were malfunctioning, the walls were destroyed, the carpets were destroyed and every other general maintenance issue that was supposed to be taken care of before I moved in, she failed on. Then she went of a campaign of emotional manipulation in an attempt to wear me out when I was trying to have her take responsibility, admit fault and fix the damage. She didn’t admit fault. She didn’t apologise. She didn’t fix anything.<br><br>I fixed everything myself - walls, floors, kitchen units, fireplace. I spent thousands of pounds doing so.<br><br>I should also add that the flat was on the market with no valid electric safety certificate and only after it was advertised, had people view, and a deposit paid and a let agreed did this junior notice that the EICR certificate (and others) had expired.<br><br>Not only was there no proper due diligence on my move in, there was no proper due diligence when the previous tenants moved out.<br><br>Sloppy, at best.<br><br>Director of Property Management-. This vile excuse for a woman took no responsibility, never apologised, never picked up the phone, never fixed anything and threatened my tenancy.<br><br>head of customer service - this vile excuse for a man - never picked up the phone, mishandled my formal complaint, took absolutely no responsibility for the problems they had created, admitted no fault, harassed me in the process, never resolved anything, and gave me no option but to seek compensation via a tribunal.<br><br>The case had so many items to be heard that it took 3 hearing, over 2 years.<br><br>As soon as the case was over, DJ Alexander sent me a notice to leave - citing that the landlord wanted to move a family member in.<br><br>This was a lie. The flat was back on the market less than 4 weeks after I moved out, with one of their red flags in the front garden.<br><br>For those who have read this far - also take note that they have a boiler plate response on negative google reviews suggesting that we reach out to customer service with our complaints - trying to look like they care.<br><br>4 years of my life absolutely ruined by people who’s egos will not allow them so just say, sorry - I was wrong - let’s fix things.

31st Aug 2026 (14 days ago)We approached Walker & Sharpe to ask for assistance applying for a joint guardianship for our son who is turning 16 but lacks capacity to make decisions around his own welfare. I had previously heard of them and Shannon specifically when she did a talk for the Parent Inclusion Network on guardianship. From the outset, what I feared would be a difficult process, was made so much easier by Walker and Sharpe, and specifically Shannon who worked on our case. The whole process was straightforward, professional, efficient, friendly, and we felt able to approach her at any point with questions or to clarify things. I have already recommended Walker & Sharpe and Shannon to friends who may need to go down the same route as us, and generally would highly recommend them. Thank you.

They were restoring the upper part so this wasn't accessible when I visited, but interesting history and also some lovely wildlife, swifts, osprey, deer. You ring a bell and the boat comes to take you across to the castle. All the staff were friendly and funny, joking with everyone. Glad I visited and would go again.

My father passed away a few months ago and as his only child I was left to deal with his estate. Living 300 miles away, this was obviously quite an intimidating prospect. Gary and Alaina offered a huge amount of support and professionalism and sold my dad's house in less than 3 weeks of marketing. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I'm so happy I chose them to assist me! Jenny
