They couldn’t have done more during and after a viewing; and are genuinely interested in longterm positive relationships with clients. I found them lovely and so nice. Very professional and supportive. They went well beyond in their kindness, good wishes and help with a new home after purchase.

31st May 2024 (2 years ago)We used GAP estate agent to sell our property. All the staff were friendly and excellent in their communication with us. Every query or matter was dealt with promptly. A special thanks to Laura and Jan who we mainly dealt with. Laura certainly went that extra mile to help wherever she could. We were also recommended a local couple for conducting viewings and they were excellent. Overall a very good experience and we would recommend GAP. Thank you.
30th Mar 2026 (24 weeks ago)Peter Murray made an illegal will for my uncle, Sir Michael Maxwell Bt, in 2013, who was in the depths of frontal lobe dementia (this was against medical and legal advice). They were the sole executor and sole witness to this will. Micheal had been sectioned and told he could not make a will in England prior to this. They hid a relevant doctor’s letter which was only extracted by lawyers. The firm has refused to admit liability despite overwhelming and unequivocal evidence and caused huge headache a heartache for our family over the past 5 years and huge legal costs. They are unprofessional and to be avoided at all costs. They have also stopped family staying at our family home - Monreith- and prevented my mother’s burial there. It is disgusting. The contents of the will are inconceivable to all family and destroy our family’s 800 year history in Dumfries and Galloway.

On both occasions, the team was exceptionally personable, supportive and attentive. They consistently went above and beyond, never making anything feel like too much trouble. Selling the family home was particularly emotional and throughout the process, the team demonstrated genuine kindness and understanding, which made an otherwise difficult experience much more manageable. Every member of the team played a part in the sale. It felt like working with an extension of the family as they all knew who I was and were able to assist promptly and effectively. They were restoring the upper part so this wasn't accessible when I visited, but interesting history and also some lovely wildlife, swifts, osprey, deer. You ring a bell and the boat comes to take you across to the castle. All the staff were friendly and funny, joking with everyone.
