Rory was always just a call or email away when I needed him, and his professionalism and expertise truly stood out. He kept me thoroughly updated throughout the entire selling process and offered fantastic advice every step of the way. Rory is a real credit to MOV8, and I’ll genuinely miss our interactions. Highly recommend!

22nd Sep 2024 (6 mo. ago)We chose Gillespie Macandrew because we wanted the whole selling process (including the calculation of capital gains tax) to be under one roof. Gillespie Macandrew more than lived up to our expectations. The marketing, conveyancing and capital gains processes were all sequentially and logically implemented and there was always someone on hand to answer our questions. The stress involved in selling a property was greatly reduced, the sale went smoothly and efficiently, and we received a price well above the valuation.

Not ideal - feel like they had too much work to handle mine at the time. 28th Feb 2025 (26 days ago)Jennifer & Andrew at Avenue Road Estate Agents were an absolute dream to work with! Professional but personal, efficient but not rushed. My property was on the market quickly and I accepted an offer even higher than I was hoping for within two weeks. The photos and listing were of a high standard, the home report and solicitor were organised quickly by them (highly recommend using their recommended solicitor!), and their communication throughout the whole process was spot on. It was my first time selling a property and I felt truly taken care of every step of the way and got an even better, quicker result than expected. I can’t recommend Avenue Road highly enough! 15th Nov 2024 (19 weeks ago)Overestimated price at quote stage and advised a lower one as soon as home report valuation was received, suggesting upset price 10k below valuation. Little feedback on website viewing figures unless I phoned to request it. Support for property viewings and feedback from viewers was reasonable. Once an offer was received, I had to email and phone Thornton's legal team repeatedly to chase progress. Title deeds were already held by Thornton's, but it took two weeks to scan and email them to the solicitor, delaying written acceptance of the offer beyond the deadline given by the buyer. Solicitor handling my case seemed to think this was normal and deadlines for acceptance of offers were usually ignored. Sale is not yet complete, but I would avoid using the same company for estate agency and legal services in future. It seems to encourage complacency and inefficiency, the opposite of what I expected.
