19th Nov 2025 (10 mo. ago)I slightly misunderstood a request made by the lady who I was speaking to on the phone. She proceeded to talk to me in a very condescending and rude manner. I felt belittled and actually a bit upset, even when I was trying to help and understand her. Not the type of interaction I expect from a professional solicitors.

3rd Nov 2023 (2 years ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.

17th Sep 2026 (9 days ago)We had a viewing arranged this evening at Grosvenor Crescent with Cara Haston. We received a text this morning confirming that the viewing was going ahead at 6pm, so were very surprised when nobody from Savills turned up at the property.<br><br>We had both made the trip into Edinburgh specifically for the viewing and had each paid separately for parking nearby, only to be left waiting with no communication.<br><br>We tried calling the Edinburgh office, only to find that it was closed. Our call was redirected to the London office, where we were told they would try to find out what had happened and get back to us. Unfortunately, we never received a return call or any explanation.<br><br>It was a frustrating waste of both our time and money, particularly given that the appointment had been confirmed only that morning. It also doesn’t reflect particularly well on the service being provided to the seller, whose property was effectively left without a scheduled viewing taking place.<br><br>Overall, a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. We had expected a much higher standard of communication and organisation from Savills, given its reputation as one of the more established estate agents.
12th Sep 2023 (3 years ago)We had exceptional service from Thorntons from start to finish. Our house sold in 4 weeks and the sales team were just so professional. Communication throughout the process was excellent and once we accepted the offer on our house the legal team at Thorntons were equally exceptional. Our solicitor was always on hand to answer our questions and provide us with best advice. Thank you for taking the stress out of selling a house!

From my first meeting with Lewis Hunter and my early contact with Suzie Steenkamp, I felt completely at ease and confident moving forward. A special mention goes to Rhonda Gunn, my Property Sales Negotiator, who was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. She communicated with me quickly and consistently—often daily—and always kept me fully updated. Thanks to the team’s hard work, I had a high number of viewings and even received an early offer. Stephen provided such an excellent personal service - right from the initial marketing to completion of the sale. He kept me informed throughout and provided very helpful advice. It felt very different from dealing with a large corporate agency as I’ve done in the past and I would not hesitate to recommend Cullerton’s.

They marketed my property to an extremely high standard generating a huge amount of interest and a very positive sale . 17th Sep 2026 (9 days ago)I cannot thank the whole team at Monarch Legal enough for their expertise and fantastic support during my recent move to Scotland and house purchase.<br>Communication was excellent from start to finish; emails and phone calls were always addressed and returned quickly and everything was completed right on schedule. They are consummate professionals.<br><br>Maya, in particular, went above and beyond during the final stages when some things became overwhelming and needed further explanation.<br>Her warm, friendly, and unhurried manner during telephone conversations created a safe space making a stressful process feel straightforward and seamless.<br><br>Thank you Monarch Legal: Highly recommended.

In the time I have known her, her knowledge of the premium market, including unique and prestigious homes, is second to none. She understands what is required to sell a unique home in a way that I have not seen in many of her peers who seem to take more of a cookie cutter approach.<br><br>Professional, knowledgeable and passionate about what she does, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Marie and Wilson Property Group to anyone looking to sell a special property, or any property for that matter.

19th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)Having sold seven houses in the past, I found my experience with Niksen to be underwhelming and somewhat average. Although far from terrible, there where a number of disappointments throughout the process. First off, the quoted prices for the photographer and Home Report turned out to be different. Hardly earth-shattering, but an annoying detail that ended up costing me slightly more than expected. The presentation of images and copy I’d say was average, but not as good as other high-end estate agents that I’ve used previously. When it came to selling, the accompanied viewings are a plus point, but I hadn’t expected a running commentary from the estate agent on who they thought should or should not have the property. Surely that’s for me to decide and not the agent. Very unprofessional I thought. Once I’d accepted the offer I heard next to nothing from Niksen. My solicitor worked extremely hard (for far less money than Niksen’s fee it should be noted) to ensure a smooth sale. Previously, I’ve used agents that provide a weekly update with how the sale progressed, but there was nothing for about six weeks from Niksen. In fairness, when I did contact them, they did investigate and chase up the sale, but I felt I shouldn’t have to chase them up myself. Oddly, a week after the sale had completed, Niksen contacted me to ask how the sale was progressing! I checked with my solicitor and he’d paid them already, so it appears they could do with some better internal coms between accounts and sales. What’s worse, for weeks afterwards they’ve pestered me via email, WhatsApp and phone for feedback. So here it is. Not terrible, but a very average experience.
