16th Sep 2023 (7 mo. ago)I recently put my property up for sale with Drummond Miller. The “selling” part of this service was poor. It appeared as if the leading agent, Robert, didn’t care in the slightest, as emphasised by the very nonchalant responses to my queries throughout. My ad was also full of errors (including my address) and when pointed out I was assured this would be changed, which it wasn’t, prior to going live. Once sold I can’t fault the service in terms of the sale and legal work. Pam was professional, helpful and reassuring throughout the remainder of the process. I have mixed feelings towards Drummond Miller LLP now but due to the poor initial service I wouldn’t recommend.

Communication throughout the process was excellent and once we accepted the offer on our house the legal team at Thorntons were equally exceptional. Our solicitor was always on hand to answer our questions and provide us with best advice. Thank you for taking the stress out of selling a house!

She combined a friendly and approachable manner with expertise, professionalism and local knowledge. Being especially responsive and attentive to the fact we were not from the area, all issues were addressed immediately with clear communication to drive a quick resolution for us to complete the purchase of our flat in the beautiful city of Edinburgh.

27th Jun 2021 (2 years ago)Whilst being based abroad, my partner and I purchased our first property in Scotland through Neilsons. The staff were consistently professional, knowledgeable, and transparent in their communication with us throughout the entire process. They kept us informed at each stage and were punctual in responding despite the time differences to where we live. When I started getting anxious as the settlement date approached, the staff at Neilson's were reassuring and gave us confidence that the transaction would be completed on time.

If your buying a property and DM Hall have done the home report please please check everything as they just tick everything off as ok without checking and from what I hear they take payments from sellers to make reports more attractive. Just check everything as they are not to be trusted.
12th Apr 2021 (3 years ago)Unfortunate that I decided to buy a house from this firm. One of their solicitors was selling his house and foolishly I did not realise that he put his interests as a house owner before his professional duties and responsibilities as a solicitor. There is a complaint going to the Scottish Legal complaints commission about his behaviour. Unfortunately the solicitor didn’t respond to the tradition of leaving the house clean and tidy and we spent two weeks clearing up his human filth! It is subjective ( so I’m told by solicitors). So there is no comeback for the filthy mess. That is no excuse. As a human being he should have ensured that the mess was cleared up.
