6th Apr 2024 (16 weeks ago)Our experience with Mov8 was easy they kept us informed with viewing and communication was prompt. The only thing was their offices are in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we are in Carnoustie which was a little inconvenient if we needed to go to their office to sign things

5th May 2024 (12 weeks ago)I have rented a house via Slater Hogg & Howison for close to 6 years now. Over this time there's been certain repairs needing attention ie damp and black mould. I have kept this house in great condition but the issues date back before I moved in. On countless occasions, mainly from 2021-2024 I have been trying to get these fixed with no joy. I've made so many complaints and have complained to the Property Ombudsman. I am heavily pregnant with my first baby due in June and Slater Hogg & Howison have been aware of this since at least the start of the year, I was trying to get them to fix the issues before June when baby is due as stated in emails to them. My husband contacted Slater Hogg to get an update on the repairs on 29th April, they said the landlord 'was trying to get to the root of the problem with the damp and black mould'. I started Maternity leave on 30th April and that same day Sheriffs Officers came to my door to issue an evicition notice under the grounds the landlord 'intends' to sell in July!! No warning inadvance at all and such a brutal way to treat us, we've always paid rent on time, kept house amazing. We can see an email attached to the evicition notice dated 11th April from Shona McCulloch of the Slater Hogg & Howison Dennistoun branch to say she 'would be delighted' to help sell the property when the landlord is ready. My baby is due in June and Slater Hogg & Howison are delighted to make a newborn baby homeless. This is a revenge evicition because I've been asking to get all the repairs done and i have all the years of proof. It's so unbelievably stressful to be going through this. I do not recommend Slater Hogg & Howison because they are extremely cruel.- 23rd Jul 2024 (4 days ago)We have been renting our flat in Glasgow with countrywide for over a year now and its honestly been a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend them to any landlord or tenant. Kellie, Fern, Ashton, Jamie and the rest of the team have been as thoughtful and helpful to us as landlords as they have been to our tenants, who have also had a great experience throughout their tenancy. They have a really amazing knowledge of the market and always give honest advice and are quick to address any problems. 10/10!

A big thanks to Sophie and her colleagues who made our whole buyer journey such a lovely experience. From initial contact, booking viewing, attending viewing and throughout offer stages, each member of staff was so friendly, professional and couldn't have been any more helpful and understanding. Especially patient and helpful given I was trying to negotiate the process on behalf of my son who is on the Autistic Spectrum. Genuinely nice people.

30th May 2024 (8 weeks ago)The team at Hames Estates is very professional, and also very approachable. They take a personal interest to ensure they deliver an excellent service. Any questions are answered quickly and you never feel that you are a bother. We dealt mainly with Joe and Ellie, when selling our house and the whole process was painless. First meeting was with Joe McKenzie who is straightforward and honest. He takes the time to go through the process with you, including the very reasonable fees. Viewings are notified via text and email so easy to know who was coming and when. We were kept informed throughout and received regular feedback regarding viewings - the latter mainly by Ellie who is very friendly and helpful! Our house sold very quickly, and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Hames Estates to others. Thank you!!

They also dealt with viewings and arranged a quick closing date Don’t have final bill yet but we were provided with a breakdown of costs

2nd Jul 2024 (25 days ago)I started using Gregor and his team in 2017. I never had to worry about the property or tenants as Gregor and the team were always at hand. They also acted as agents to sell the property which they completed quickly. I definitely give them all five stars and highly recommend them.

29th May 2024 (8 weeks ago)Unprofessional estate agent. Don't have a courtesy about client time. I was late for the appointment for 5 mins because of traffic and roadworks diverted. Drove 40 mins to view the house but the agent left without checking. Very disappointed and unprofessional way of handling the call.

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
