Excellent service with helpful and pleasant staff. Our flat sold quickly, for a good price and with no complications. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
This agency is a complete joke. Staff are extremely rude and obnoxious. The property management department is the worst thing about this agency, they do not respond for days/weeks on end and when they do it's with no regard. They make tennant feel like a burden and the only time they are forthcoming is when it regards finances. The 'service' they provide is non existent and both staff and managers need a strong lesson in customer service.
As a prospective property buyer I came to the Edinburgh market with very little knowledge. What I experienced with Peter Turner and the rest of the DJ Alexander team is that they find time to give you personal attention and practical advice. We certainly felt that the agency was going out of its way to help us find the right property for us. Peter Turner listened carefully to our needs and offered practical advice and showed us the right type of prospects for us. Peter and his colleagues gave us consultative assistance and expertise - he knows Edinburgh and the market thoroughly. It was a personalised service which one rarely gets elsewhere. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Peter and the DJ Alexander team to those looking in the Edinburgh market.
Extremely unprofessional, I would strongly recommend people to avoid this agency. I am making sure to upload a comment in every review page as they've put me to the most awkward situation that an agency can put someone. They do not care about the tenants ( that can be proven from other reviews with everyone having similar issues and of course DJ Alexander doing nothing to improve services)
Our story starts as, we got accepted for a flat and gave the deposit exactly at the moment they asked us. We gave our notice to our current landlord and late in the evening we received an email from DJ Alexander that the landlord saw our application and did not want to have three people. Dj Alexander just told us that this is something that they cannot help us with as it is something that the landlord wishes. We completely understand landlords wishes HOWEVER, we DO NOT understand how an agency can give the flat without having this important information from the beginning. We informed them from the beginning that we are three people for the flat and they were completely fine ( it should be mentioned that we are not HMO as we are family). Of course DJ Alexander did not take any responsibly for this horrendous services. It should be mentioned that we are still trying to get our deposit back ( which we are not scared that we will lose our money but that is another proof how unprofessional this agency is).
Of course, I will make sure that this review will be on every single review page and inform every person that I know about this HORRIBLE experience, knowing how difficult is finding a flat in Edinburgh.
Lastly, it has to be added that the flat ad was saying for a deposit of £500 but they asked us for half rent plus an added £300. However, even with the ad misleading us, we did provide the money without making any scene. This is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL from every angle.
I got an excellent service from DJ Alexander, all the staffs are very friendly and professional. A special thanks to Diane Harte as she has been there throughout the whole process and is always readily available to answer questions and make sure the whole move in process was straightforward and stress free. I would like to thank her for her service and would highly recommend to anyone.
Pathetic Letting Agency. Reported a maintenance issue, and seemed no one was getting back to me. When they finally contacted me, they said they would reach out to the landlord. After asking me, on three different occasions if they could pass my details onto the landlord, we finally made progress a month later. Now after leaving, the check out report is pathetic claiming ‘professional cleaning’ needs to be carried out for the slightest things, example, a single hair in the sink. Will never rent through D.J. Alexander again.

Having recently worked with the Team at Yield IT to sell my property, I received an excellent service from the initial instruction, meeting prospects to the communication between the solicitors and particularly from the Sales & After Sales contacts, namely Ryan and Sophie. I would definitely recommend the guys there and all was done in a timely fashion.
I put my property on the market with this company, within 2 months I had 3 different people managing the sale, not one of them gave updates and required my chasing of them. If you’re looking to sell your property quickly at a price you would like then don’t contact these guys. They will however sell it if you are willing to put it on for at least 20% less than what you would like to receive.
Possible one of the best letting agents I have experienced, a real pleasure. Extremely helpful, responsive, and straightforward with arranging viewings. The signing process was slick and painless, and a bit shout out to Linda who managed the process from start to end.
I was invited to a viewing a few hours ago from posting this. I was happy and immediately said I was interested and wanted to move forward immediately. After trying to confirm with fineholm and move forward all day, the agent from fineholm has just called to say the landlord is in discussion with someone else. I refuse to believe that this was not the case when my time was wasted by fineholm when I went to view a property I was unable to move in to. Disgraceful behaviour!
We used the East Midlands representative to place a value and construct the brochures to sell our business and then our sale was managed from their head office. They were helpful and proactive throughout and got the job done very professionally, with little involvement from us. We chose them based on their no sale no fee approach which we liked.
Was just told on the phone, that they were out of my league! Then he hung up, all because I questioned the 5% selling fee. However, after the company reading the review, they called me up and apologised. Well done! Apology accepted!
