From a tenant's perspective, nice, friendly staff who were easy to deal with. During my tenancy I had problems with the boiler and also the electricity supplier. Fiona and the team dealt with these issues professionally and effectively. They also seemed to have a good relationship with the owner.
I should also mention that the initial deposit terms were much fairer to prospective tenants than the terms some other agents required (there was one I refused to deal with because of this), and that the final check-out was straightforward with no claims on the deposit.
PS: Let me temper this review by saying that on no account should you accept Spark Energy as your supplier. Spark consistently got my bills wrong, and each month their debt collectors would be on my case BEFORE the bill had even arrived in the post! On leaving it took weeks before they managed to issue a correct bill. Needless to say their debt collectors Opos (try googling them), were daily threatening me while Spark had yet to finalise the bill correctly. And now, five months later, the harassment has resumed, despite the fact that I have paid the account in full.
Please do something, anything to stop the loud noises coming from your tenant's in flat 2/1, 22 Grierson St, Friday 1st Sept from 8pm onward the thumping noise of DRUMS and then singing coming through the walls is appalling. We are not used to such anti-social activity within this area Countrywide Scotland.
Hassle free sale handled brilliantly by all the staff involved. We were put at ease from the moment the flat was valued and given good advice throughout the process. The fantastic service from the lovely staff even continues now after our sale. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thanks very much.
The worst experience I've ever had couldn't spell my name right totally disrespectful to me . phone call never answered emails never replied was told flat was clean and tidy yes I believe you what a manky place to let someone stay ...it was so dirty couldn't see out windows ...couldnt use cooker the black smoke from it fire alarms going off kitchen window won't open ..toilet wouldn't flush sink in kitchen over flow pipe not there water everywhere no heating bedroom heater hanging off walls bath won't drain living room windows seals wasn't doing good job so drafty thought I was outside.. phoned emailed nothing done 12 months later nothing done just seem to pass you about to someone else everytime you phone total shambles of a place never use these Slater Hogg or country wide social media and newspapers should be told about yous thanks for notbnot

Frances at Tip Top was very helpful to my husband and I. This was our first time selling a property and she took alot of time to talk through everything with us and to answer our many questions at the beginning.
We had accepted an offer (for the price we wanted) within 5 days of Tip Top posting the flat which was excellent.
Later in the process, Frances was again very helpful in finding out information which we were struggling to get from our conveyancers.
My sales process with DJ started on a wrong footing. Initially i had Scott who was dealing with me but without any prior notification i found out he has left the firm. I only found since i called for him and was told. Then another person took over who wasn't too helpful and this started to frustrate me since i was the only one bearing financial loss. Finally my case was handed to Keith Wood who was very responsive and pragmatic. He was always forthcoming in giving me updates - good or bad. He always seemed to have a plan. As a matter of fact, i was ready to take my property of the market and put it back on rent and it was his persuasion to try it for another week that has secured this sale. It was a great experience with Keith. Very customer focussed, personable, always willing to go the extra mile for you. One such example is i was coming in to Edinburgh at midnight on a friday, and i needed to collect the keys with DJ Alexander. He ensured the keys were in the accessible safe and gave me his mobile in case i had problems. The next morning he texted me to find out if all was ok. Thrilled to have him as my sales agent and i was very happy with the experience although it started on the wrong foot with other agents.
Do not take their clients concerns seriously. The door on our building was broken for months. We and several of our neighbors reported that many times. No problem solved. We even ended up with a situation that a drunk person entered into our building and lied down in front of our flat door. We were forced to call the police. Again no response from them. Thus, we decided to move out. The moving out was a different story - not only will they ignore your emails but they will give their best to rob you. And if you are lucky get their email reponse, it will be rude and Ill-mannered.
As a tenant I can honestly say I have been well looked after by DJ Alexander. There staff are always very consconside in any communication with them. I would highly recommend.
Terrible letting agency with no respect for their tenants. Would turn up at the flat unannounced and expecting to be let in without permission. Furthermore they tried to charge us for damp and mould problems in the flat that were no fault of our own. The bathroom had serious damp problems (the ceiling was completely covered in black mould) that they were unprepared to fix properly. All the mould just gets painted over before new tenants move in. Avoid.
I have been delighted with my new tenants, and delighted with Fineholms professionalism and how quickly they found me tenants. I cannot fault the service we have received.
As you can tell from numerous complaints..You only deal with Fineholm at your own risk as they don't care about clients and the poor service you. Just spoke to their manager about their poor rating & about my experience with them and she is totally fine with that. Just like several rogue & dishonest agents in Glasgow they ask u to keep huge deposits and keep u waiting for days if not weeks & can come back to you at any time to tell u the property is not available. It took them 2 days to show the property to my spouse and after calling to tell her it's available to rent, they claim it will take more than a week to check the inventory in a 1 bedroom flat and days later they claim the landlord says he's not renting anymore. Very rude with huge egos and it's evident in our interaction their tenants and customers come last and the manager told me she doesn't care about the poor service and their ratings. Deal with them at your own risk!
