I would not recommend this letting agent. I rented a house through them for about one year. I was traveling abroad last year, so I vacated the house, returned the keys, and cleared council tax and bills. I guess they probably thought that I am not settled (due to my Asian face) and will not come back to Glasgow anymore. Then all my emails regarding the deposit return were completely ignored by them. When I came back from my travel, I went to the agent’s office recently. Only salespeople worked in the office, and I was told to contact someone who only works remotely but never replied to my emails. I was not surprised by the way they dealt with me. When I was the tenant with them, it was always a nightmare when I needed a repair. I admitted that I was in a bit rush when renting through them. I should do some research about this letting agent beforehand. Although my deposit is not a large amount of money, I will make a few complaints to regulatory organisations and institutions about this agent and may also apply for court action if needed.

Second, a lot of research has shown that attempts to manipulate online reviews have become more prevalent because they can help businesses land higher marketing results through electronic word-of-mouth. Third, social psychology provides evidence showing that bad is stronger than good. In other words, negative events have a greater impact on us than positive. Taken together, these three findings suggest that we should pay more attention to the reasonable negative reviews or complaints in the current online review systems.... Read more
