The staff at this estate agent were really helpful amd very pleasant to talk to every time I called to view a property or anything I needed to ask about the property I ended up buying, so a big thank you to the whole team ..Isla ,Stacey, Catherine Ross and Margaret for putting up with all my questions and helping me get the keys to my new flat ..thank you again

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

28th Jan 2026 (9 weeks ago)Awful experience. Collected money from owners for roof repairs that never happened, then walked away as factor while still holding the funds. Months of chasing for basic answers and a refund timeline. Communication is dismissive and contradictory, and getting a clear breakdown of what’s been spent and what’s being withheld has been like pulling teeth. Joe managed to sell our property in less than a week, and for over the Home Report value, which exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, he was incredibly responsive to messages, always on the ball, and kept everything moving smoothly throughout the process. He consistently kept us updated on proceedings, so we always knew exactly where things stood. On top of that, Joe is genuinely friendly, approachable, and extremely helpful — nothing ever felt like too much trouble. We would highly recommend Joe and RE/MAX to anyone looking to sell their home. A fantastic experience all round!
