   If you are renting in Bishop Auckland, go elsewhere. Rude, unprofessional and not interested at all. They allowed a vulnerable tenant to live in a complete and utter pigsty with no roof, wall to wall mould, with bags of human waste and needles filling the yard and have consistently negated their legal obligations. Thankfully, the tenant has since moved out, these clowns won't be laughing when this gets to court. I cannot recommend this shambles of a company to anyone. Avoid at all costs.... Read more

   Had our viewing cancelled at very short notice. We travelled from Weston Super Mare, we waited at the property as we did not know the viewing had been cancelled. Finally gave up and drove all the way back home only to find a message on our answerphone to say the viewing had been cancelled. Waste of time.... Read more

   I am renting my property out through Manners and Harrison, after looking at the all of the mainstream firms and going into branches they were the most supportive and engaging at the first point of contact. I dealt with Katie in the Stockton branch she answered all of my questions gave me lots of useful information without being pushy or feeling like it was a hard sell,I was gathering the details needed to make my choice and after sitting down with Katie and others it was obvious which company to go with.<br><br>Katie backed up by Lee did not disappoint they supported me in person on the phone and by email, walked me through the process and waited patiently whilst I was sorting solicitors and other issues.<br><br>When it came advertising and viewing it was completed within a week and offers were on the table, I used the full management service so they took care of all of the legalities and tenants were in place within 2 weeks from advertising.<br><br>I look forward to a good working relationship with Katie and the team...    We recently began renting a property through your agency. Unfortunately, on the second day of our tenancy, the landlord admitted to H and H agents that he had looked through our windows—an act that constitutes a serious violation of our right to privacy. Following this incident, we mutually agreed to end the tenancy early. However, we have been informed that a full month’s rent will be retained, with the explanation that the landlord’s actions were merely "a quick peek" and therefore not a cause for concern. Regardless of how brief the intrusion was, any unauthorized observation into a tenant’s private space is entirely inappropriate and unacceptable. According to the terms of the tenancy agreement, landlords must provide at least 24 hours’ notice before entering or inspecting the property. If there are concerns regarding the condition of the property, the appropriate course of action is to use the security deposit—not to violate a tenant’s privacy. In our case, the deposit was returned in full. While we acknowledge that we painted the walls without permission to high standard and neutral white colour, this does not in any way justify the landlord’s actions or the withholding of a month’s rent. Due to the seriousness of the privacy breach, I have reported the matter to the police, as it may constitute a criminal offence. I will also be pursuing the matter through civil court to recover the withheld rent. The response from your agency has been disappointing. In particular, a member of your staff, Shirley, laughed when I expressed discomfort over the landlord’s behavior. This dismissive attitude only adds to the distress we have experienced. A Complaint is ongoing but the agents to not seem to have the time to respond within a few days.. Renters deserve to be treated with the same respect and dignity as homeowners. Owning a property does not entitle anyone to disregard the legal and ethical boundaries that protect tenants’ rights , we are not second class citizens..... Read more

    I’ve just sold my house using Estates, and they were fantastic. The original sale fell through but Estates helped secure another buyer quickly. The whole team are so friendly and helpful. Special mention to Joy who was superb and always there for help and reassurance when things got a bit tricky at the end.
