I have been involved with Hunters for the last year to purchase a property and to sell a property. My main contact was with Ella however I have also been introduced to other members of the team for various elements of the purchase and sale. I can honestly say that the team are extremely professional and helpful.
Of many positives, one that particularly stands out is the internal communication. Information is provided accurately and is always up to date.
Until now I had no idea just how much goes on behind the scenes in this industry and was taken aback at the amount of work that is required i.e communicating, negotiating, passing on important information to all parties including solicitors. Hunters (particularly Ella) have been the central pin and the glue to keeping the whole incredibly stressful process as smooth as possible and for this reason I would highly recommend Hunters Bishop Auckland ????

I don’t normally take time to write a review, however, in this case I feel I need to do so regarding Hunters Estate Agent, Bishop Auckland.
Moving home can be one of life’s most stressful events and can be a time of great anxiety and you need a good Estate Agent on board with you. We have found Hunters, Bishop Auckland to be Professional, honest and incredibly good value for money. The regular communication and updates from Ella and the team have been amazing. The advice and knowledge prior to marketing our home from Adam was invaluable and the assisted viewings which Hunters provide as standard with 'no extra charge' was a great relief to us.
The sale of our home has been a challenging one, and I honestly believe if it were not for Ella and the team at Hunters, Bishop Auckland we would have found it a lot more challenging and stressful.
I will be recommending you to all my family and friends, thank you Hunters for a first class service.

Extremely disappointed with Hunters Estate Agency, was recommended by a friend (Although i'm not sure how much of a friend after this referral) Lets take it back to the start, Adam Steadman-Lloyd came out to value my home on Cockton Hill, Adam is a man of very few words and isn't the most engaging individual, told me the property was worth £80k which nearly knocked me off my chair as two other agents had told me £65k. Adam was confident that he would achieve full asking price for the property, and was banging his drum that they are number one in the town. (A fact that was once correct, but is no longer) So i went ahead with Adam based on his 'expert' opinion based on valuation and the fact undercut his fee to £800. (Alarmingly not the best at negotiating and in hindsight this was a huge red flag!) To be fair to Adam his pictures weren't half bad, write up could have been more engaging however. Moving on to the marketing of the property, Ella Steadman-Lloyd was the one providing me updates (Was promised a 4 Weekly call was more like 6 to 8 weeks) I was always ringing them to which Ella's attitude was very snooty and i got the impression that she likes to think she is better than most, they over no road path to a successful sales , they jump straight to a big reduction of price the cheek was even to be asked to drop it to £65k in line with the other agents suggestions! Having been tied in for an exclusive period of time with them I now see how the Hunters model works, get as many houses to the market, over price them, tie them in and get them to reduce the price by £15k to £30k depending on value, they even had the cheek to charge me for a virtual tour at £114 plus VAT when other agents offer it for three. Luckily another agent has rectified the mistakes of Hunters and got me sold.

Used hunters on a dual agency basis organised a viewing quickly after listing other than that it was it on anything actually done. They took far too long sorting out spelling mistakes etc on creating my details. Would ring regularly to tell me market was quiet etc.. strange that my other agent kept a steady stream of visits with prospective clients coming out to my property when hunters could not generate viewings I'd suggest they are not very proactive and would rather wait for customers to land in their lap. A very disappointing experience my advice use Venture who were fabulous.

Before using Hunters to let my properties, I had written off the idea of estate agents' letting services as I'd found them disappointing and poor value for money. Having used Hunters to find tenants and move them in, I would never go back.

Avoid as a buyer certainly beware you will rarely speak to the same person twice they were quiet happy to inform us our offer was accepted and begin the survey and solicitors fee etc.... only to allow us to be guzumped by another buyer without warning or giving chance to counter. As a buyer there is a large chance you will needlessly lose money.
Values and ethics are very low down on the company agenda everyone has a different set of circumstances after our dealings with hunters they would happily leave you up the creek for the sake of a percentage

I have no fault with the people working at hunters, their rented houses are in tip top shape and they know what their talking about renting wise with the propety. Couldn't have asked for a easer way to move!

When my brothers and I needed to sell our fathers property we contacted several estate agents in the area to compare services. Some didn’t bother to turn up, the others were quite dismissive because of the condition of the property. Adam from Hunters was the exception. He looked at the property, gave (free!) advise on some of the options we might like to consider and, because we weren’t from the area, even recommended a builder that they used for their various jobs. I cannot thank or praise Adam (and therefore Hunters) enough for his honesty and impartial advise.
I’m sure that the whole team operate with the same degree of honesty and professionalism and can honestly say I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them. Wonderful! Thank you Adam and team!

We bought through hunters recently and it was a very easy and nice process. Things got a bit hairy at the end but they were a brilliant support and pushed on our behalf to get things tied up. The ladies we dealt with were really kind and easy to communicate with. Would really recommend these guys!

Very rude staff, lacking knowledge of area, they lost the keys to my rental house and I was locked out for 2 days while they messed me around trying to contact the landlord. Had to stay with relatives. Awful, would certainly not recommend.

I’ve moved several times and I can honestly say Hunters Bishop Auckland has been the most hard working and professional agent I have ever used. Handling all the viewings was a real help with little kids running around. Most agents slack off a little once the offer is accepted but they continued their five star service right up until moving day. Thank you and well done to the whole team. I recently sold an investment property of mine through Hunter Estate Agent in a somewhat tough market condition in Bishops Auckland, Durham.
I was extremely pleased and satisfied with Hunters who helped me along the way, providing with creative ideas and solutions that made all the difference and eventually we got my property sold at slightly less price.
The Sales team updated me on a regular basis, were very responsive and got back very promptly when I had any queries.
The Conveyancing process was relatively smooth with most of the information provided via their online portal making it easy and quicker.
Pleasant Professional experience overall and I am very thankful to team at Hunters for a job well done !
