last year we went with yourmove, it was awful service, they lost my deposit cheque, tried to make me pay in another telling me i was lying and hadn't paid it even though the money had been taken from my account. turned up on check out day and they found it under some papers beneath an empty mug of coffee for which they didn't bother apologizing for, just shrugged their shoulders as someone remembered going to pay it in two weeks previously. that was only the start. absolutely useless in every aspect. this year.. the perfect house for us was only available through Yourmove. I thought the excessive admin fees wouldn't be so steep this year as we were already on their books (admin fees through Yourmove are £200 per person, there is a large group of us so fees come to well in excess of £1000, other estate agents in the area charge around £230 for the house, split between the tenants which worked out at about £32 each..) turns out the admin fees were exactly the same, we had to fill out all the same forms with exactly the same details as the year before, provide all of the same documents we did the year before, get proof of address for our last property (when they were the ones who let it to us?!?). why couldn't they reuse all the information they had for us for the last year?
There has been absolutely no contact throughout the moving in period, then we have them phoning us as if we are thick and in the wrong for not providing the things they are asking for, when the phone call we receive is the first time we have ever been asked for it. they also tried to push are moving in date back when we had been told months in advance that it was one certain day. all of our time booked off work, and vans hired to move house for this day. they change this at a couple of days notice and expect us to completely rearrange this because the deposit is being paid at the last minute (the deposit was paid the day they finally sent us the bank details for us to pay it. completely their own fault)
the worst service i have ever received from any company, even if i find the house of my dreams and it turns out its going through Your Move i would steer miles clear. disgusting. i could go into so much more but i think i've said more than enough.
