Rachel proved to be a true professional and guided the rental process from the beginning to the signing of the contract. Her communication was clear, friendly and always timely.

We have used Matthew James on 7 separate transactions and they were brilliant every time. They give great advice, are a joy to deal with and manage everything with the utmost professionalism and skill. They are incredibly responsive (returning calls within minutes). We couldn’t have managed the sales without them, because they did so much of the transaction management to keep everything on track, and they found really lovely buyers for all the properties we sold. Buying and selling property can be stressful, but MJ make the whole process so much easier. All buyers they introduced were genuine and completed each sale, so there was no wasted time for anyone. Everyone in the office is terrific! Highly recommended.

They were then quick to market the property and found my current tenant very quickly. Pollyanna has been very polite and professional via phone calls and emails and I appreciate how patient Pollyanna has been when I have needed questions to be answered.

To echo so many other 5 star reviews here, we found them likeable, efficient, professional, quickly-responsive, experienced, excellent at resolving curved balls, and just generally super switched on and helpful. Of all the professionals and services involved in the house sale process, picking HJC was the decision we were 100% happiest we'd made - a genuinely reassuring presence throughout the whole experience, they just inspired confidence. Thanks Suzanne & team, nothing but gratitude from us.

She was friendly, responsive and proactive, regularly following up with everyone involved and keeping us updated. She also patiently arranged several property visits for our surveyor and contractors. We really appreciate Zoe’s support and would happily recommend her and the Gascoigne-Pees Chessington team.
30th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)Dealing with them during our tenancy was fine—they were responsive to emails and fixed problems quickly. However, things went downhill when we moved out. They claimed the property was dirty and deducted £100 from our deposit for further cleaning. We left the flat domestically clean; we simply missed some limescale on the sink and hoovered the carpets instead of steam-cleaning them, which was never stated as a requirement anywhere in our contract. In my 14 years of renting in the UK, landlords have always taken care of the professional clean before new tenants move in.
We reluctantly agreed to the £100 just to avoid the stress. But then, an extra £20 deduction came out of nowhere with zero warning, claiming "damage" to a radiator. We never even touched that radiator, and it was actually filthy when we first moved in (we even cleaned it during our tenancy). We only agreed to it because fighting them felt useless at that point. We basically ended up paying for the flat to be professionally cleaned for the next tenants with our own money. They seem very nice upfront, but they will nickel-and-dime your deposit when you leave.
2nd Nov 2026 (4 days ago)Unfortunately our experience has not been the best . They are unresponsive most of the times , and all their rentals are not keen to let . Is very hard to get a viewing with them and for the most of them they are not even giving you a viewing . So far for our family has been a difficult process with this letting agency .

The service and speed to market the property was fast and efficient. within days everything was managed ,certificates. Inspections etc. I had to do virtually nothing. Within 2 weeks contracts with a suitable tenant was ready. Thanks to the agent who handled everything so professionally. Elin Shepherd.

Exactly what you need when things get stressful. Would certainly recommend them, over the big corporate high street agents.

Their highly engaging, personable approach makes any contact with them a pleasure, and speaking to tenants they have approved it's clear this works on both sides of the contract. They are always prepared to go the extra distance to be sure of a result satisfactory to all. Olga and the whole team are highly professional and at the same time prepared to take a close personal interest in all our dealings.

Never had to contact them to chase, never known an agent like it tbh. Would definitely recommend them time and time again. 14th Oct 2026 (23 days ago)Really an Outstanding Estate Agent - Particularly the "dream" team of Alan, Simon and John - they were all able to handle any query or issue I had along the way immediately and gave excellent advise - If I was them I would have got fed up of me turning up every couple of days to their office to check progress but they always answered and dealt with any issue I had very professionally and in a friendly and approachable manner - When they were talking to potential Buyers and Other Solicitors they really did have my interests as a priority - Can't recommend them enough, you really need to use this Agent if you are Selling you house in the Chessington area

Person showing the house (not the exp lead) arrived at the same time as the potential buyers so house wasn’t opened up or displayed to best advantage

I would not use exp again. Very disappointed.
