When I first phoned Darlows Merthyr Tydfil I was surprised to end up at one of their Essex offices. This was because all phones were engaged at Merthyr but Louise of Darlows Merthyr phoned me back in minutes. She even had a number of clients wishing to purchase similar to the one I was offering. We met Louise at the property shortly after and she dealt admirably with all the paper work etc and gave good advice. The property was sold subject to contract days after meeting Louise and she is guiding us through the process admirably. This is Part 1 of a review Part 2 follows when contracts have been exchanged. Can't have Louise relaxing :). Thankfully she shares my sense of humour, appreciated at a stressful time. D H
Initial service by the rental negotiator was ok...then once the rental was agreed the standard of service dropped completely.
The house I rented has a long list of issues - all of which, according to Darlows, had been addressed prior to the let starting. Nothing. The premises were dirty etc and not fit to let.
Put simply, they are totally incompetent...stay well clear.
Recently sold my home with James Douglas Pontypridd branch and I’m extremely pleased with the service received. This is the first time I have ever dealt with an estate agent and it was a painless experience. The prices offered were also the most competitive I could find.
The branch manager, Nathan, was always on hand to answer any questions I had, no matter how trivial and nothing was too much trouble.
I was kept informed every step of the way and would definitely look to use when buying or selling in the future.
Awful company to work with, really bad communication on their part.
Very pleased with the service that they provide . Very helpful to me as a new landlord and they have found tennants very quickly providing all appropriate paperwork and contracts in a timely manner.
Moveit is a fantastic company so long as you don't have anything to do with them. Unfortunately our landlord moved letting agents and we were stuck with them. Perhaps fantastic is the wrong word, its simply amazing that a company with such ineptitude has continued to do business. Initially they appeared to be relatively benign. This was mainly due to the fact that there was no communication. Apart from simply taking too long to deal with issues, not returning phone calls and not checking messages we left. Unfortunately this appears to be quite typical of a lot of letting agencies. When it came to us handing in our notice, and the company actually being required to do something for their wages the cracks started to show. We were happily getting married the week we handed in our notice and the day after we were heading off on our honeymoon. Understandably they wanted to show people the property but for some reason lacked an important article they should have in their possession, a second set of keys. The landlord too didn't have these. An odd situation but I guess it happens. With the pending wedding, honeymoon and both me and my partner working long hours we agreed to let the agents pick the keys up and get a copy cut. We then started to receive aggressive phonecalls explaining we were in breach of our contract and they would charge us for a call out fee (£35) and a fee to copy the keys (£25). We tried to explain that this was unreasonable they were welcome to the keys but we simply didn't have the time. We were even told to give our keys to someone living in the same block of flats as us as they knew the person. I tried to explain I wasn't comfortable with this and they appeared to take this as a personal slight. the phonecalls and the text messages went on for 2 days, eventually my partner had to take unpaid leave to accommodate them. There was no level of apology for the inconvenience or even thanks for us going out of our way to help them do what they should have already done. They then wanted us to take photos of the property and send them to them so they could advertise the rental, again a job that wasn't ours to do. I complied and was told my pictures weren't good enough, again, no thanks! The next set of interactions was on our departure. We left and handed them the keys and were just glad to see the back of them. We had the odd call asking if the property has gas and where the meters were kept. Again I would of expected them to have this information. I asked about the bond and they said it would take six weeks and we would have it back. 6 weeks later I rang for more information and was told it was nothing to do with them that I should speak to the landlord. I asked for his details and low and behold, they didn't have them either. I eventually found them from an old communication and he told us to speak to the letting agent. This was already frustrating. My husband spoke with them asking for information and rather than try and find out what was going on, they hung up on us. That was the last we tried to communicate with them. Just so glad we didn't have to. Eventually we had our bond back and we were so glad to be rid of them. I just want other people to know the issues we faced as I doubt we are alone. As a letting company they didn't seem to have any information or details you would expect and they more importantly didn't have the desire to help us, the tennants or the landlord.

Great company. My deal went thought really quickly just because of them. All the way thought proceedings they have been helpful and quick to respond.
I put my property on the market with this company, within 2 months I had 3 different people managing the sale, not one of them gave updates and required my chasing of them. If you’re looking to sell your property quickly at a price you would like then don’t contact these guys. They will however sell it if you are willing to put it on for at least 20% less than what you would like to receive.
I have sold two properties in the last year with sell right and josh our representative was truly professional from taking amazing photos to helping with solicitors and chasing things up. Would like to thank the whole team for a speedy sale
As a tenant I have found Let Right to be unreliable, unresponsive and just awful. Whenever they say that something will be done, chances are it wont. Just an awful lettings agent that doesn't really do much for tenants other than take your money.
During viewings for our house when we were still living there, they should have given us 24 hours notice of the viewings. Instead they would just turn up and say sorry, is it ok to do this viewing. They would also call in at inconvenient times and would be rude if I was still in bed at 10 in the morning. I would have preferred to pay the ninety pound fee to Pinnacle then deal with let right again.
Fabulous customer service for both my residential and commercial requirements. Thank you very much.
A member of my family rented a property from them. Reported problems before signing agreement and was told it would be dealt with. Nothing done. Now property is not habitable due to flooding. Electectricity have been effected to point of giving electric shock. No response from landlord even though this is now in the hands of council and environmental health. It has effected health of both tenants and they will be taking legal action for return of rent and lost wages due to health. Won't recommend someone living here even if they are living on streets. Think twice before using this cowboy agency.
