2nd Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)The sale of my mothers house has just finalised today. Our sale was through Need To View, it was almost a seamless procedure, a couple of bumps along the way, but nothing to do with the company. The staff knew from the start the situation myself & my brother were in with regards to the sale and were empathetic and compassionate throughout the whole process. I am not aware as to whether they are the cheapest in our area, however, whatever they are charging its been worth it knowing that the sale was in safe hands. Would & will thoroughly recommend.

8th Aug 2024 (5 weeks ago)Leaders in general have been the best lettings agency I’ve dealt with in Derby, but I’d specifically like to talk about my experience with Leah Bostock. I have been going through an extremely difficult time recently, being faced with stress from every possible angle including that of having to leave my property and move to another city. Without going into detail, Leah has been an absolute rock in guiding me through this difficult process and showed so much support and kindness that you would never expect from a stranger. She’s been so patient and understanding, took it upon herself to take care of all the bureaucracy side of things on my behalf and offered warmth and support through every step of the way. I know that to her I might be just another tenant, but to me she will always be a Good Samaritan who helped me through a really difficult time and I really wish more people (and agents) were like this. Thank you so much Leah! ( and Leaders, this lady deserves a raise!).
24th Jul 2024 (7 weeks ago)Great service. Went to Craig for mortgage advice, and we cannot recommend him enough. As first time buyers we went for a consultation, we were quite hesitant beforehand but after speaking to Craig, we were put at ease. He was very knowledgeable and put in a lot of time and effort to help us. Had few issues in the process (none from Burchel Edwards) but we were able to sort these out quickly thanks to our mortgage advisor. Absolutely superb.
28th Aug 2024 (15 days ago)Worse agacy ever I'm have. If something broken like water leak you raport wait more then 7 days to somebody answer you. Same if you have any problem you send email you wait 7 days to reply from them. When you call nobody answer you leave voice massage not call you back. They call you tell you incredible story you have dog in home but you don't have. Never again cooperate with that agecy
3rd Sep 2024 (9 days ago)We lost 31000 by using the modern auction method, on their original valuation. The modern auction in England, unlike Scotland work ps in reverse. Do not be persuaded into using this method. They seem to favour getting the lowest price for the buyer, as opposed to maximising money for the seller. As we live remote from the property, we entrusted their expertise, and professionalism, to look after the property in our absence . However, on visiting the property for insurance purposes, we found the toilet had been broken, it was full of excrement, and stale urine, there was damage to model boats that had been left, and a Leatherman tool that had been left was missing. When a complaint was made the Ilkeston branch manager. Her excuse was. “One of your neighbours, must have come in and used the facilities, and taken the opportunity to remove the tool“. I hope I never have to use Rightmove again. Our house move was a long drawn out process with alot of bumps along the way and a horrendous 3 day completion. After receiving zero help and guidance from my estate agent, elders really went above and beyond not only supporting their own client but myself and my partner also. 27th Aug 2024 (16 days ago)Although staff were pleasant at all times, the management service was not good. There were costly errors during the tenancy, communication wasn't great either. We have received an apology for these. We are grateful to the agency for finding new tenants, but in light of our experience, have decided to manage the property ourselves

2nd Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)Recently sold our property with Leysbrook. We had never used an independent estate agents before but we’re so glad we did! On instruction the whole team got involved with creating our brochure. Andrew then took the lead on viewings and kept regularly in touch. Once sold Andrew then advised us the best way to negotiate our purchase. Donna took charge going forward with our transaction/chain. We unfortunately had many many hurdles to cross elsewhere in our chain but Donna was hugely instrumental in making it all happen. Communication was always swift. The whole team are professional, polite, organised and proactive. I would recommend them without a doubt.

3rd Sep 2024 (9 days ago)LANDLORDS AND TENANTS BOTH SHOULD TAKE NOTE - Read for details of property damage below. Also read reviews from other landlords who were lied to. Absolutely shocking treatment by this company. I was harrassed for years during lockdown and received threatening letters from another tenant. Nothing was done until they attempted to kick in my door. I lost my career and health due to the stress. I was told to "get some earmuffs that builders wear for drilling" when I explained that the noise, from music, door slamming and stamping literally shook the walls of the building. I was studying for a Master's degree at the time and as a result of the disruption was not able to retrain in the career I had spent years preparing to enter. No action was taken until the police arrested the neighbour and my concerns were brushed off until that point. There were also serious issues with black mold in the property that were dismissed as "cosmetic" even though it is evidenced to be a neurotoxin that can cause a wide range of health issues. I also had them try to enter my property with keys unannounced when they had not arranged, thinking I would not be home to catch them. They have no emergency, weekend out of hours number such that when the upstairs plumbing broke and flooded the property, there was no way to turn the water off until the next Monday and no one could help (not even the police or fire department - I tried). If you have an out of hours emergency, you will be stranded. This could potentially cause a building to become unsafe, with expensive works needed. No checks were carried out to ensure the integrity of the ceiling following this incident and other less serious (but persistent) issues with plumbing upstairs that was never properly repaired. They told lie upon lie when challenged and their refusal to take action over threats, bullying and disrepair have devasted my life. I still have symptoms of PTSD and anxiety as a result. Micheal Haywood is the worst of them and you can check other 1* reviews for more information about why. These are all true of my experience. Contact other agencies immediately if you have issues with them or other tenants as they will give excuses and delay as long as they can. They literally do not care if you live or die. If you are a landlord, contact your tenants directly every so often. If you are a tenant, you are legally entitled to be given your landlord’s U.K. contact details within one month (Castle tried to tell me that mine had moved to Australia (!!) but in fact he lived in Lincoln. Not that it matters, as all landlords are required by law to have a separate U.K. point of contact) or you can pay a small fee and do a property ownership search via Gov.uk land registry.
