During what felt like the longest house selling experience of my life, the house is final sold.
I have to thank Marcus personally for his stirling work keeping everything on point when it derailed many times, no thanks to the antics and demanding behaviour of the other selling party.
Throughout the many challenges that the other seller posed, Marcus and the staff at Andrews remained professional, responsive and dedicated.
One of the ridiculous estate agents who took more than 30 days to return a holding fee that I put down for a property that I was letting. I didn't eventually get to rent the property and also finding it difficult to get back the holding fee. Constant lying about the whole process of the funds return.
A very professional setup , customised service & they know how to complete. Thanks to Claire , who took me through each step of the process , always returning a call , and on the case. Paul - chipped in when required , and gave the reassurance. Very recommended.
A year ago I saw a property through Shinerocks. I made an offer 15k over the 'OIEO' price. Despite having spoken and meeting with the agent I heard nothing back. When I called them, the very rude estate agent snapped 'you should have offered more money in the first place - it went for 30k over the asking price'. I wasn't given the opportunity to increase my offer.
A yeah later the property went on the market again through Shinerocks. It turned out the property had never been sold but taken off the market; the agent had not been telling the truth. I offered 30k over the asking price - the price I had been told it had been sold for previously. I was told three offers had all been made within 5k of each other. I offered an additional 15k but was then told that an even higher offer had been made so I withdrew. At that point there was a flurry of emails - there was no higher offer. Once again the agent had been misleading me. In two days they had pushed the price up nearly 50k by telling me there were higher offers. In fairness the Shinerocks owner emailed me to say that I should not have been told there was a higher offer by the agent' However, despite my increased offer, once again I heard nothing back.
Buying a house is one of, if not the most expensive and important purchases we make. In this instance the cost involved was over three quarters of a million pounds. Shinerocks's treatment of buyers is shocking. I will never again consider a property marketed by them, and for that reason would never sell through them either as their practices deter genuine buyers.
Shinerocks have responded to my review saying that I was in the Far East - and that they could not get hold of me. Not true. I was in Spain for a few days, in the same timezone and I spoke to them twice on the phone - at length - during that time. I placed a higher offer in writing to which Claire confirmed in writing "I'll come back to you in due course". She did not even though I had returned to London. Nor did she say that she expected me to show enthusiasm by "calling us every day and chasing us late at night and early in the morning" Once again they simply say things that are untrue and their version of events is not an accurate depiction.
Really good service from Luke. Everything went smoothly and he was so helpful at every stage of the process. Would recommend!
Great estate agent for letting property, always easy to get in touch with and very professional in the letting process. Very happy with service at moment.. The location of the property is very good and the property is also very spacious. Thanks Ayden.I am very satisfied with the service provided by Baristow Eves Lettings.
Manager Maxine at this office with the help of Jenna and Camilla arranged all the viewings leading to a successful offer. With up to seven viewings a week at times, this team kept me informed at every step of the way. Once an offer had been made Maxine and Jenna followed up and answered any queries and ensured the sale went through. Excellent Job. I also used the Countrywide solicitors which provided an excellent and speedy service unlike some smaller solicitors.
I used Bairstow Eves in Kenley to sell my property back in June this year.
I was left very disappointed throughout the whole process and found them to be very rude and unhelpful.
They gave a very good sales talk before putting my property on the market but that is where the customer service ended.
At the end of the whole house selling process i was left wondering who was worse, Bairstow Eves, or the solicitor that they recommended for me to use.
Id just like to specially mention Daniela from the st albans branch, who was superb and very professional when she helped me with properties at a stressful time. She was a star! 10/10 service. Thank you Daniela and Frosts.
