17th Oct 2025 (8 weeks ago)We did not have the best experience using this agent. They were great at selling themselves to us by comparing their sales against other agents with seemed great. Once signed up with them their communication with us fell off of a cliff. We had a dip in viewing so they asked us to do an open house. Some text was added to the read more element in Rightmove and our listing on their website, but no other advertisement was placed. So unless you were one of the handful of people reading the text on rightmove or scouring through their website you’d never know. Save to say no one turned up. When asked about it they admitted they’d failed to post it on their socials. They asked us to put our asking price down to attract more interest which we did but made it clear that that was our lowest. Our eventual buyers offered below our asking and we continually rejected. William H Brown called us up clearly annoyed that we weren’t accepting and we reminded them that we had dropped to our lowest on their advice and they had no idea. It hadn’t been recorded or shared anywhere, we were just another house to them. We were getting to the end of our contract with them at this point and we were looking forward to leaving. I sent an email asking what the next steps were for discontinuing the contract. Within 15 minutes of sending that email we had a phone call to say our buyers had offered asking price after they’d been given a nudge by William H Brown. In short we were just another house on their books and at no point did I get the impression they were doing anything to sell our house or get us the most for it, short of advertising online. There are so many local independent agents out there who will give your property the focus it deserves in comparison to a large company like this. Additionally our buyers used William H Browns suggested solicitors and had a terrible experience so maybe avoid them too if you do end up with William H Brown.

16th Nov 2025 (27 days ago)When I took the agent on it was under stood they would show people the property but this never happened the advertising not good the for sale board was positioned as though it was for the house in front . You could never speak to the same person twice all together a load of CRAP. Recommend the staff at Pontefract NO

21st Nov 2025 (22 days ago)Haven't been a tenant with this agents for some time - left for reasons unrelated to the property / agency, however had numerous problems during the tenancy anyway - and just received a tenants maintenance problem! Huge safety concern as I received the building code and their apartment door code! Appalling - hope they’ve contacted the tenant to explain and changed the code, luckily I’m not a bad person!

Always on hand with a listening ear and Max was just the best support as was Andy. I would recommend Hunters Castleford for a rental to anyone as they are great with the personal touches, I always felt listened to and when I needed them they were always there. 9th Oct 2025 (9 weeks ago)?????????? If there were six stars, Zoe would get the lot! From start to finish, she’s been an absolute superstar. This wasn’t your average straightforward sale — we had solicitors doing their best impression of headless chickens, and the Help to Buy scheme throwing in last-minute curveballs just to keep things interesting. Through it all, Zoe was calm, kind, and completely unflappable. She chased, nudged, reassured, and generally worked miracles to keep everything on track. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she always had time for a chat and a laugh, even when the rest of us were tearing our hair out. We’re genuinely kicking ourselves that we didn’t sell through them too — lesson well and truly learned! If you want an estate agent who actually cares (and knows what they’re doing), Zoe’s your person.

Gave them a quick call and they laid out loads of solid investment options with proper returns, not the usual fluff you get from other places. They know their market inside out and make it really easy to compare deals. If you’re into building long-term income, these guys are definitely worth speaking to.
