We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.

7th Jul 2024 (20 days ago)We have just purchased a house through reedsrains castleford branch I would like to thank the whole team for an exclent job we mainly had all our dealings with Alison Hamer who without a doubt was fantastic always chasing things up and keeping us informed at all times as to exactly what our position was with the purchase. I would recommend reedsrains castleford branch to anyone and if we buy or sell again in the future I would defiantly use them again thanks again scott mandy

Lauren in particular was the agent to deal with myself and the property we are renting. She kept us up to date and always replied quickly to any queries we had. Much appreciated, it made our rental process so much more of a delight in an otherwise stressful time.

9th Jul 2024 (18 days ago)Extremely unprofessional & incompetent - they actually let a house with no loft insulation & an incorrect energy rating. They also failed to mention a sub-meter which meant we had to pay the landlord's electricity bill - & then repeatedly press for reimbursement with no help from Bartles. If you're considering renting through them - be warned ??
3rd Jul 2024 (24 days ago)Having such a bad experience with the majority of the estate agent 'big players' in Wakefield...even being discriminated against by one for being outside of Yorkshire...I popped into Martin & Co to see if they could help. I started a job in Leeds and desperately needed a place to move following 7 rejections from other agents.. Monay and Leah from Martin and co treated myself and my partner excellently and with concentrated customer service instead of a way to make a quick buck...they pushed hard to get myself and my partner our dream place and in time for my job start...their service is priceless...Leah even checked in yesterday to make sure the move went well. All I can say is if you want an estate agent who will treat you with value...and as a human being...check these guys out ...they deserve the business more than their competitors.

I don't feel valued as a customer, the way she dealt with our process of buying a house was not professional and very confusing. I would never recommend this agency for any of my friends and I will not be buying a house with them.

24th Feb 2024 (22 weeks ago)Really wouldn’t recommend. I contacted them to inform them of my interest in a property which had only just been put up. When I rang them I was told to call back on the Monday, days later on Monday I called and was then told I would receive a call back later on with information regarding viewing availability and an application. Never received a single call. I then sent an email and called again and was purposefully ignored. I went to call again the next day but when I looked online they’d removed the property. Zero communication and a really unprofessional company.

On the initial visit Jody explained everything clearly and concisely, and I immediately felt at ease and knew that I trusted him to sell my house and get the best price he could. The timescale from first valuation visit to my house being photographed and listed on the internet was a matter of DAYS! Jody did every viewing for me, chased viewers for feedback and forwarded that onto me immediately. My house sold within just TWO weeks (to a lady who first viewed it on the very day it went live on the internet), and I believe that to be down to the care, attention and advice given by the agent. I would have no hesitation using Murphy Property Agents in the future, and highly recommend them to anyone looking to sell their property! Thank you for everything.
