I almost never write a review online, but this deserves it...
We found a property we liked. An agent - Jimmy (??) - was not very helpful in showing the place ("this is a living room"; "idk, I need to check"), but fortunately there were owners around to ask more specific questions. The agent was very pushy on a few occasions. He said that they have one offer on the table already and we need to make a decision today, but the owners had no idea about it.
The owners told us, we are dream tenants for any landlord (great references, good jobs, handyman skills, planning to rent for a few years). Clearly, they liked us very much...
Despite unprofessional agent, we liked the property and the owners (there were going to manage the property, not Dixons), so we go down to the Dixons' office (BTW: dirty and with crisps on the floor) to put down the application. The agent could not even give us a ride because of insurance reasons (true? maybe...). But we stayed there only about a minute when Jimmy (??) asked for £500 (!!!) fee, including £250 was for holding down the property (what ?). For us it is called a steal! We left offended.
Just FYI, fees around £250 are something normal, but not twice of that!!!
We had a 5 star experience with Robert Oulsnams, Ben, Kelly and the team handled viewings, took great photographs and had to deal with a very unique case. On a number of occasions there were issues with the process and Ben stepped in and sorted everything out for us. We got there in the end! Thanks alot for all your help!
One particular individual who works at this branch was one of the most unhelpful human beings I have ever encountered. She was rude and insisted 'the customer was wrong' from the outset, (even though I had dealt with Oulsnam's for over 3 years). As a kind natured, intelligent and mature person I found it very insulting to be treated with such malice. Upon making an enquiry in person, I was told to call another branch on my mobile! Awful service, such a shame.
Mark is an assett to the company as he did everything as he said .From the very first visit he has been very professional ,confident and contacted me as and when there were viweings and he was able to secure the deal in the first viweing only.He is very kind and humble gentlemen.i would 100% recommend connells to anyone needing to let their house .
