Absolutely disastrous mortgage advisor and services. While the sales team is very efficient, the mortgage advisor (Luke) is highly incompetent and unprofessional. If you want to have a calm and relaxing experience of getting a mortgage or re-mortgage your property, don't work with this store. I was given inaccurate, erroneous and late information on several occasions. I was asked to provide documents that were not needed by the bank, and when I complained, Luke made sure that he would delay my work several times knowing he could cause me financial damage given the volatility of the interest rates. Not only did he make sure he would not put my application through until the last day (just to stress me), but I also had to find the best rates myself and tell him which one to apply for, for a service that I have paid! If this is a service you like to receive, then this is the best place for your mortgage application.

I rent my house through Dixons Agency, the customer service is very bad. They charged me for management, agreement, and Electricity certificates are £1373. I called the office nobody answered and the machine answered to leave a message, I left a message and no one responded for a week, I repeated that for three days, I visited the office and they said the manager would contact me but no response for 10 days.
High not recommended, I used Dixon because the people recommended and they have a good review. That is my experience with them and leave that to your judgment.

I engaged Dixons as a landlord. We already had tenants in situ and Dixons were appointed to take over an existing tenancy from another estate agent.
The handover was difficult due to the previous estate agent having registered the tenants into a non transferrable Alternative Deposit Scheme. Dixons acted professionally and competently in working with the previous agents.
However, major issues began within the first month of working with Dixons.
Dixons were unable to get the tenancy started, and did not pay out any rent payments which led to 3 months of arrears.
Throughout this period, I was unable to get into contact with the Dixons office.
Emails with clear instructions to get the tenancy started and rent collected were sent:

Many of my emails went unanswered for days at a time. Some were never answered at all. I followed up with phone calls but was never able to get in touch with anyone. I made 5 phones calls to the Dixons Quinton office as well as the Selly Oak office. Every call went to answer machine.
I made an official compliant to Dixons customer service team, at which stage Dixons Quinton got in touch with me. I was assured the issues would be resolved.
By the 2nd July, another rent payout had been missed. I was left with no other choice than to manage the property myself. I informed Dixons that their appointment was void, on the basis that they had failed to set up the tenancy.
When I finally spoke to the tenants, they informed me that they had in fact paid all of their rent. Dixons had been collecting it and had chosen to not pay it out to me. I was never informed by Dixons at any stage that this was happening, despite my repeated emails raising my alarm that the tenants were running up rent arrears.
On Wednesday 5th July, Dixons confirmed they would refund the tenants immediately so that they could clear their 3 months rent arrears with me.
It is now Monday 8th July and the tenants have told me they are yet to receive their refund.

I ended a tenancy, all the deposit release information was send, the agent Chloe send to the deposit scheme the release information incomplete and wrong! And until now 2 weeks later I haven’t been refund my deposit, and after plenty emails without any response, the dixons agent just blame the landlord of not sending their information complete witch is not true! And said that all the process needs to be done again

I can't explain how happy i am with Dal Bains. He has been the most helpful. My boiler stopped working and i've literally been living in a 9 degrees home for 2 days in this freezing weather. I've been waiting for someone in the Dixons Quinton (Birmingham ) Branch to get someone out here urgently but nothing was happening. I got told to call the Dixons number in Warwick and Dal Bains dealt with my situation so quickly, i called at 1pm and an engineer literally came out an hour later. My boiler is working now , because of Dal Dains quick action . We also had a good laugh haha , made me forget about my situation.

Anna Meredith was very unprofessional, my friend booked a viewing for a rental property, Anna barely spoke to us, simply opened the front door and told us to look around ourselves, she was stood on her phone the whole time, we liked the property and asked how to proceed with an application, she seemed reluctant to want to speak to us, said she would send us an application form, but we never heard back from her. Luckily this property was available through another agent, so we successfully applied through them.

This is my first ever review, I had to leave one as I am more than happy with every single part of my housing journey with Quinton Dixons Estate agents. The stupendous service I received from Lori Bradley alongside her collage Sarah (Not sure of last name), was second to none.
I have been searching for a house for two years, actively viewing weekly for myself and my daughter. I would regularly see Lori at viewings and she commented she would do her best to find me a home, at that point I thought it was just another saying from another estate agent (i was viewing that many), however I kid you not, she followed through. Lori and her colleague would actively contact me once a new property came out so make sure I had seen it and offer viewing appointments. Lori went way over and above. As a working mother she was incredibly insightful and compassion towards my schedule for booking viewings and would completely work them around me, which I am incredibly grateful for. Once I found a property in this awkward time, Lori supported me through the whole entire journey. She explained the process, (being a first time buyer) in grave detail. She let me have multiple viewings of the property to make sure I was sure on the decision, as it is a huge one. I was shocked by this as it seemed very normal, I thanked her and she replied she was just doing her job. I have not experienced this from any other estate agent previous to this.
However, she updated me the entire process, answered EVERY single telephone call and question, and pushed things through and chased information throughout the whole entire process. She always got back to me, even when I didn't reciprocate this. She updated me with information my solicitor had told me later on, which was incredible. Lori you were on the ball the entire time. I truly cant thank you enough for giving me and my daughter our home. Thank you for ALL your support and patience throughout my journey. You are an ASSEST to your team and was a true ASSEST to my house journey. I am genuine when I say if it wasn't for you, it would have been a completely different experience and I may not have had the home I have now. Thank you Lori.

Sarah and other staff at Dixon’s were brilliant. Sarah is professional but down to earth. Didn’t give us any jargon or put on a hard sell. The house was put on to Rightmove on the Thursday afternoon and we had 4 offers by Monday morning after an open house on the Saturday.
When corona virus hit it stalled the process of moving but contact remained thoughout lockdown and knowing our buyers were still interested but us at ease.
We eventually moved (Thank you Jan for always keeping me informed!) and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Dixon’s at Quinton to anyone who needs to sell their home in the area.

Well what can I say there are not enough complimentary words in the English dictionary to describe the staff at this branch.
My main dealings were with Sarah, and what an absolutely fantastic service I received, to say Sarah went above and beyond doesn't even begin to describe her dedication and enthusiasm. I never had any problems getting hold of staff, with Sarah regularly and kindly responding to my queries and questions outside of her working hours!
Communication was great and no questions or requests were to much trouble. The whole team had a cheery can do attitude when I spoke with them including Lori and Jan and it made what is usually a stressful process of selling a house easy and calm.
I would never ever ever use a different estate agents and highly recommend these guys, especially Sarah, I cannot thank these guys enough

This office does not know how to answer it's phones! Tried getting through so many times eventually gave up and spoke to the Selly Oak office who dealt with my query. I registered my interest in a rental flat and was told they were waiting on the current tenants to move out to give me a virtual viewing and that the flat wasn't available until the 15th July and was told they would contact me. I waited and was eventually told today 3rd July that the flat unavailable until 15th July had been let and no one from Dixons even bothered to get in touch with me about a virtual viewing either! Thanks for nothing and for letting me down Dixons! Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful from Dixons! Avoid Dixons and certainly avoid Quinton branch!!!

I left a review several months ago about the rented property next to my Mothers house. The fence panels and rear gate had blown off in the storm's and dixon's were not repairing them. After my poor review the gate was repaired but not the fence panels. My Mother now has a situation where the house next next is infested with hundreds of flies and Dixon's have not done anything about it and the flies are coming into her house. If this is not resolved I will be taking this case to the environmental health officer by the end of the week.

0 stars as they are appalling. The property next to my mother and father is a let property and managed by Dixons. Both my parents are old and vulnerable and the fence panel and back gate at their property were blown down over a week ago leaving my parents property open to anyone wanting to burgal them. When I contacted Dixons I was assured that both the gate and fence would be repaired soon but my parents are still waiting for this to be done.

Asked for a valuation. They valued my house at £150 000, while the bank's surveyor valued it at £180 000 and Connels, Shipways and Martin&co said they can easely sell it for 170 000 to 200 000. All agents seen the same house, been told the same things during 1 week timeframe. How could I ever sell my house with an agent who undervalues my house with up to £50 000 ?

Overall a good experience selling my property with Dixons. In terms of the people, Sarah and Lori in particular were great, extremely friendly and easy to get on with. They were always available if I needed to speak to them. The only downside was that the sale drifted along with not much happening at one point and looked like may not go through in time- but to be fair due to the girls hard work we got there eventually! Excellent!! We found a lovely property for sale through Dixons Quinton and having sold our home we were ready to go. Lori showed us around the property and put our offer to the sellers and we were delighted to hear very quickly that our offer had been accepted. Whilst waiting for the purchase to complete Lori was regularly liaising between the sellers and ourselves to ensure a smooth sale. All the staff at this branch were helpful but most of our dealings were with Lori and she was brilliant.

very expensive where other estate agents far cheaper for the same work cost me £5000 to sell where other estate agents charge under £2000 for the same job ask around first how much their commisson is ,then do the maths, save yourself quite a bit of money I found it expensive due to most of the viewers was taken around our property by ourselves, due to no Dixon's staff available, due to veiwing was after 5.30pm not our fault

We actually have our house on the market with another estate agent. However, Dixons have been far more proactive in helping us find a house. Dale and the team have battled like Rocky Balboa to win the ‘let’s get them a house match.’ At one point Dale even lay on the floor of a box room to see if we could fit a bed in there. Dixons go over and above the expected level of service. We still haven’t found a house yet but at least Dixons call us before a house is on the market to give us first foot through the door. More than can be said of our current estate agent. Well done to you all.

Dale and hannah provided a top class service which helped me immensely. I was selling my mom's house as she was moving to warden controlled accommodation. Dale went out of his way to make the sale run smoothly and helped at every point with viewing, surveyors etc as I was at work and mom being 83 was a bit confused and vulnerable. We bought (myself and my wife) beautiful house trough the Quinton Dixons. I was very impressed how they work hard. There were two gentlemen who worked with my case: sales negotiator Aaron Tonks and mortgage adviser Tom Hewitt. I can't say enough thank you for those guys. Always professional, polite and very patient.
Aaron introduced us with the house and was dealing with sale. He was very friendly and professional guy. All queries sorted in easy way.
Tom worked with my mortgage case with Countrywide Mortgage Services. He worked extremely hard, under the pressure as at some point our and vendor solicitors have had raised issues between them. Tom was always helpful, friendly and polite. He has found mortgage lender, solicitors, set up house and life insurances, properly explained us how works out house purchase process. Really can't say enough thank you for his hard work. Wish all the best him.
Once I spoke on the phone to lady called Lydia when our and vendor solicitors have had an raised serious issue between them. Be honest, don't know what to say about this young lady. Wish her a bit to improve costumer service experience and work for both sides with respect. Not only for the seller but for buyer also.
Generally I am very satisfied with Dixons and really recommend them as they offers all services under one Roof as they work together with Countrywide.

I have been looking for a home for a good six months and Aaron Tonks the agent who showed us the house was by far the best agent that we have dealt with. We will certainly contact Aaron first when we purchase our next investment property.
Coming from South Africa, I have been surprised by the lack of interest and follow up shown by agents here in Birmingham.
Aaron was a breath of fresh air. He knew exactly what we were looking for and had a positive attitude with us - "I will show you two houses today and you will buy one of them" - and true to his word he found the perfect home for us. Thank you Aaron

Despite a number of significant complications, they have always remained positive, supportive, professional and always looking after our best interests. Most of all they are always a friendly bunch! Whilst the branch manager (Lydia) was extremely helpful in chasing our buyers towards the end of our sale, the overall service was unfortunately not ideal.
Our sales listing originally had many errors and we were regularly having to chase Dixons to correct these. We also experienced problems with people entering our house without our permission, even after we had specifically requested 24 hours notice before visits occurred. Dixons also gave the buyer's surveyor keys to our house and failed to accompany them after we had specifically agreed all visitors would be accompanied by either Sarah or Aaron from the Quinton branch; I believe this breaks the Ombudsman Code of Practice for Residential Estate Agents section 8g. I did receive a verbal apology from the branch manager Lydia but I still found this extremely unsettling.
Based on the cost of the service I would expect it to be of a professional standard, which I unfortunately felt Dixons failed to meet.
