Absolutely disastrous mortgage advisor and services. While the sales team is very efficient, the mortgage advisor (Luke) is highly incompetent and unprofessional. If you want to have a calm and relaxing experience of getting a mortgage or re-mortgage your property, don't work with this store. I was given inaccurate, erroneous and late information on several occasions. I was asked to provide documents that were not needed by the bank, and when I complained, Luke made sure that he would delay my work several times knowing he could cause me financial damage given the volatility of the interest rates. Not only did he make sure he would not put my application through until the last day (just to stress me), but I also had to find the best rates myself and tell him which one to apply for, for a service that I have paid! I rent my house through Dixons Agency, the customer service is very bad. They charged me for management, agreement, and Electricity certificates are £1373. I called the office nobody answered and the machine answered to leave a message, I left a message and no one responded for a week, I repeated that for three days, I visited the office and they said the manager would contact me but no response for 10 days.
High not recommended, I used Dixon because the people recommended and they have a good review. That is my experience with them and leave that to your judgment.... Read more

I engaged Dixons as a landlord. We already had tenants in situ and Dixons were appointed to take over an existing tenancy from another estate agent.
The handover was difficult due to the previous estate agent having registered the tenants into a non transferrable Alternative Deposit Scheme. Dixons acted professionally and competently in working with the previous agents.
However, major issues began within the first month of working with Dixons.
Dixons were unable to get the tenancy started, and did not pay out any rent payments which led to 3 months of arrears.
Throughout this period, I was unable to get into contact with the Dixons office.
Emails with clear instructions to get the tenancy started and rent collected were sent:
31st May
4th June
5th June
6th June
12th June
Many of my emails went unanswered for days at a time. Some were never answered at all. I followed up with phone calls but was never able to get in touch with anyone. I made 5 phones calls to the Dixons Quinton office as well as the Selly Oak office. Every call went to answer machine.
I made an official compliant to Dixons customer service team, at which stage Dixons Quinton got in touch with me. I was assured the issues would be resolved.
By the 2nd July, another rent payout had been missed. I was left with no other choice than to manage the property myself. I informed Dixons that their appointment was void, on the basis that they had failed to set up the tenancy.
When I finally spoke to the tenants, they informed me that they had in fact paid all of their rent. Dixons had been collecting it and had chosen to not pay it out to me. I was never informed by Dixons at any stage that this was happening, despite my repeated emails raising my alarm that the tenants were running up rent arrears.
On Wednesday 5th July, Dixons confirmed they would refund the tenants immediately so that they could clear their 3 months rent arrears with me.
It is now Monday 8th July and the tenants have told me they are yet to receive their refund.... Read more
