> Hawes and Co provided a very professional service throughout. Our sale was handled by Stephen Ashby whose knowledge, experience, calm demeanour and open communication, helped navigate both parties through the sale process and maximised the final sale price. I would have no hesitation of using Stephen and Hawes again in the future.
We used Hawes & Co when renting our flat in Wimbledon and we were not happy with the service. The agency fee was the highest we have ever had to pay in London over the last 10 years and it was absolutely not worth it. Whenever we contacted them about issues such as extending the contract, the check out date or anything else that required an action from them reply was along the line "we contacted the landlord and there was no reply, you may want to get in touch with him yourselves". We could have waited for weeks and nothing was done until we managed to contact the landlord and ask him to email them himself. Also at the end of tenancy they deducted the check out fee from our deposit without informing us about this, and without an invoice, which is actually illegal. Avoid if you can.
Excellent experience selling through Hawes. They brought only appropriate and interested buyers and did not waste our time forcing uninterested clients to visit (which would have been a waste of our time and effort, as we have experienced elsewhere). Jay and Daniel were always courteous, punctual and responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. They were also realistic and honest, with great in-depth knowledge of the area, street by street and house by house. Would use them again and would recommend them to others.
Very happy with the service received. As a tenant my experience was extremely positive and I would not hesitate to recommend their services. Deborah Scanlon, one of the letting agents was so helpful whilst always very professional and efficient.
Alice Dunn our property mananger was also superb. She responded to all queries with lightning speed and nothing was ever too much bother. I would highly recommend the property management services at Savills and having had interaction with a fair few agents in the area I can confidently say that they are the best in Wimbledon.
Nkem Onyeador Nwafor
This firm only looks after its own interests and not those of its clients. An example is offering to organise a gas safety certificate for a tenanted property. Cost £70 for the certificate: £144 for their admin charge. Exploitation pure and simple.
I can highly recommend Hawes for their excellent service. Paul Mannell, our main point of contact, was thoroughly professional, supporting the process throughout. Excellent communications, even when out of office, considerate viewing arrangements, effective liaison during negotiations with buyer on price, and eased through the contract process in the face of less than efficient solicitors. I would have no reservations in using Hawes again.
As a future seller, I would never use this agent. When I was a buyer, they wouldn't let us make an offer as they wanted to own the chain and we were selling outside of the area. I have since checked and we would have paid at least £10k more than the property went for, and we completed sooner on our new property, than the chain in question. As seller, I would beware that they don't have your best interests at heart and as a buyer they are very judgemental and were quick to presume we weren't credible.
7 Station Building, Coombe Lane, Raynes Park, London
We would thoroughly recommend Ellisons in Raynes Park. They were honest with their valuation, very quick to do the photos and get the property on-line and very efficient at arranging viewings. Rowan was fantastic at keeping the transaction going all the way to the end. Buying or selling your home is a very stressful process but these guys make things as easy as possible and we would certainly use them again. Thanks team Ellisons!
My husband and I recently bought our first home through Ellisons and were extremely impressed by the service they provided. The whole team were friendly and professional but the most important thing was that we always felt supported by Rowan and not once made to feel like 'just another sale'. We've dealt with many estate agents in the past but the honest manor in which Rowan and the team conduct themselves make them the best by far. We would certainly recommend Ellisons in Raynes Park to any prospective buyers.
