24th Oct 2025 (7 mo. ago)I have dealt with this solicitor and property agents since 1985. They are the most professional, thorough and efficient company that i have ever had dealings with in my whole life. I have bought and sold 7 properties for myself, 1 property for my mother and 1 property for my son. The property front office run by Carolyn McLaughlin and her colleagues always marketed my properties extremely well which in turn led to most of them being sold in under a month. In relation to my solicitor Mr David Vause, he is the ultimate professional in his field. David was always able to resolve any issues quickly and move transactions forward . I was able to converse with him over the phone or by email when i needed to. On the 22nd of October i popped in to the office to pick up deeds wills and other business letters to pass on to a new solicitor in Ellon. Envelope with these documents were left at reception for me to pick up and sign for. However David came down and we had a long chat about our interactions over last 40 years. What an absolute gentleman and ultimate professional.

27th Apr 2026 (8 weeks ago)Rollos St Andrews agreed to assist to put in a note of interest on a property and then purchase a property. They then declined to help for no good reason. A terrible service. I would advise to consider other options if at all possible.

The whole process was handled efficiently and professionally, with clear communication throughout. I was kept informed at every stage, and any questions I had were answered promptly and in a straightforward manner, which made what can often be a stressful process much easier. The sale progressed smoothly, and everything was completed within the expected timeframe. I particularly appreciated their attention to detail and proactive approach in dealing with any issues that arose. I would highly recommend this solicitor to anyone looking for a reliable and professional conveyancing service.

17th Jun 2026 (2 days ago)Far too much to write here but essentialy they cost us the sale of our house and the purchase of our new one due to their incompetence. Missed deadlines and failed to see and deal with potential problems due to their attitude and inability to keep on top of matters. Eilidh and Andrew in particular were never available, never returned phone calls and took multiple attempts to get replies to questions we had. Untrustworthy, incompetent and amateurish I would strongly recommend you do not use Melrose and Porteous for any aspect of your house sale if you value your mental health and finances.

The market value of our property was also higher in Aikman Bell's valuation compared to other estate agents, so we ended up selling for a great price. Stewart's knowledge of the local market is second to none. Peter (the solicitor) was also excellent and to the point, meticulous and proactive. All in all we were simply extremely pleased with Aikman Bell's service throughout the whole process.

30th Apr 2026 (7 weeks ago)Having read the positive reviews for Oakhouse Premier Sales, I got in touch with Richard, the owner and immediately found him to be extremely knowledgable with regard to the local market and in addition his professional, friendly approach and communication skills confirmed he was best for the job. And what truly puts him head and shoulders above so many is that he made the entire process stress free. The service received was far greater than expected and I would have no hesitation in recommending and using Oakhouse in future.
