17th Jun 2024 (6 weeks ago)Landlords should avoid this letting agent. 3 months into dealing with an eviction and still no end in sight, I'm not confident that the matter will be resolved with any haste due to poor communication with Hunters and their solicitors which is delaying the sale of the property and costing me so certainly won't be using Hunters as a letting agent in the future, nor will I be selling any properties with them.

8th May 2024 (11 weeks ago)I just cannot get my head round the fact that how is it even possible you can take a property on your books, the customer that gave you the business is expecting you to give them the best possible chance to sell their property..then you don't pick up the phone!!, had to send an email too!!..Your reason when eventually I got through??..."sorry, we been very busy and was looking to email you back""!!!..I am sorry but this is not good enough and I will most definitely not have you in mind if I ever want to sell my property. Not good at all. Gave you 2 stars..one for the service, one for the pity I have on your business!

29th Jun 2023 (1 year ago)12 appointments in 3 hours on viewing day resulting in 6 offers several above guide price for our Cottingley property. These guys know what they are doing! We were a little unsure about using JI Estates over the larger more established agent in the area but the results speak for themselves. We recommended them to a friend who got very similar results. 10th Jul 2024 (17 days ago)Very poor, spent the majority of the time without adequate internet access in the house. There were often pest problems. 1 of the 2 bathrooms stopped working and was never fixed, which resulted in having to share a basement shower between 6, (12 if you include partners). For the majority of the day there was no hot water in this shower. We would constantly have to press dwell to try and get them to fix the property. Plus they tried to withhold two-thirds of my deposit. Would never recommend.

My interaction was with Jack mainly and he was always so kind and patient. He is definitely a true asset to Holroyd. Buying a house is and will always be a stressful process but having Jack with you on that journey makes it all worth while. Thank you for all your help and support.

Matthew remained calm and professional from start to finish, 15 months in total! If you are looking for an agent to represent you with great service, enthusiasm and hard work, look no further.
11th Jul 2024 (16 days ago)After agreement on a rental I found myself losing the property on a flagged up CCJ that was around £400. I honestly didnt realise I had one. I paid a holding fee of £143... in the terms you lose this should anything crop up. I was disappointed and felt they could have asked for me to pay up the CCJ and the agreed terms would be still acceptable. Instead it was a total blank by the landlord you are not now been accepted. So been disappointed I sent an email. I offered to pay off the CCJ and pay a month's rent in advance. They went back to the landlord and the term's offered were changed to such an extent they wanted a guarantor and £720 deposit plus the CCJ to be paid today. Obviously money grabbing and making the term's very difficult to do within the time scale needed. Please becareful and make sure you don't have a CCJ you know nothing about. Giving some money over and it not been returned to me is how these organisations make extra money. Legalised crooks

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
1st Jul 2024 (26 days ago)Sold our house with DPSH. It took 8 months, mainly due to the solicitors they 'highly recommended'. We did all the viewings ourselves and had to push for them to encourage the buyers to come back with a higher offer. THEN when we actually sold our house - we heard nothing from them for the full 8 months except 1 token phone call asking us to ring them with an update.... Including on the day we completed and exchanged, we had to arrange to meet the buyers at the house - no phone call checking it had all gone ok, I don't even know if they know we have sold.... I presume they do because they have got a load of money for doing absolutely nothing. Would not use again and would not recommend. 1 star is generous.
