This company is dishonest and will waste your time, please do not use them. After calling them several times to arrange a visit for a flat I was told I could go and see one during weekdays. Unfortunately I was unavailable. I tried to organise one the following week and was told the tenant had not provide permission to view the flat. I was surprised as this wasn’t the case the week before. I then continued to to ring for updates and was told the same. Turns out the let had been agreed with someone else and they were lying to me the whole time. Holding me for insurance in case the agreement fell through. I would advice all landlords to drop them as they will give your property a bad reputation.... Read more

All the people I spoke to on the phone were nice and polite, however I put in an application for a property 2 weeks ago, and had to chase this up twice as there had no been update on whether or not I had been successful. When I called the first time I was told that I would get a phone call on the outcome of my application, so I waited around a further week for a phone call and still heard nothing back. I also sent three emails and have not had one response. I then checked on the website and can see both the rooms I applied for have been let, which is fine I understand not everyone can be chosen, but considering I would be told the outcome of my application and it took two weeks in which I had to chase it up myself I am thoroughly disappointed with the whole process. When you like a property and you are waiting around to be heard if you are chosen, you may turn down other properties in anticipation of waiting to hear back from the place you like the most. To be told I would be called back and never receiving that phone call only to hear the rooms have already been let was highly disappointing as I believe it would be good to let applicants know the outcome. Even if not in the form of a phone call but updating the website to say "unsuccessful" on the application. This whole process I've had no real communication and the waiting game was anxiety provoking. Also I was surprised to show up to my initial viewing and see around 15 other people there at the same time in the middle of a pandemic. It seems strange to me to schedule so many viewings at the same time for a 4 bedroom property. The property was nice at least so I hope those staying there have a good experience.... Read more

A waste of time. They posted photos of a supposedly very nice flat that didn't bear any resemblance with the flat itself, which was in a terrible condition. And I was assured by phone that the flat was very nice. Also the estate agent was very unfriendly.... Read more

Dishonest and very shady... the agency told me I had my offer accepted by a landlord last week, and after a week of silence on their end (during which they ignored calls/emails) I finally got through to be told that the landlord had gone with someone else. It's hard enough flat hunting during a pandemic without this weird move from the agency - you'd have thought they'd be more human. I'm now searching for another flat with only a couple of weeks left on my current lease, and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Notice how 90% of the 5* reviews on here are written by people who have only ever written one review........ avoid like the plague!... Read more

The worst real estate agency. Impossible to contact them, and they do not take charge of technical problems in the house but you have to manage and solve them yourself. They do not want to return the house deposit to us because one of the rooms was not rented due to covid-19 and they make us pay it through our deposit. I do not recommend it to absolutely anyone.... I would strongly recommend Acquire Estate Agents! I have recently moved into one of their properties and I have had nothing but faith and trust in them since day 1. Tentative at first about a possible arduous online application form - please don't be put off, completely worth it! - but doing that only showed me how professional the company is and how well-suited they want each housemate/hold to be. AVIOD this company, absolute jokers, having worked in the London property market in the past, I am always happy to give a new platform a chance. I did so you don't need to. Booked viewing on the online portal, rang office twice to get confirmation of booking, staff member couldn't be less arsed, no level of customer service at all. Second time spoke to someone who didn't understand English and couldn't or would not help me with my query. Turned up to viewing along with another 9 people booked in for the same time ???? absolute unprofessional joke. Guess who got shown round first, the international students who most likely have money up front for the full tenancy. The negotiators focus was all over the international students, it took me about 30 seconds to realise this property group are not getting a penny of my hard earned money. Main room that most non students wanted to see couldn't get access, what a waste of time, agent again count be bothered as the rooms clearly went. Unless you are really desperate to live with "cool" (as described by the agent) strangers, really really don't bother. Slap dash at best.Its companies like this the hit home the industry needs better regulation and all round higher professionalism. I think I"m not "suitable" because I can see how you work. I also know when I am being lied to about how often a cleaner comes to do the communal bathrooms, grim. Yes, I am a successful self employed DJ and programmer, working for 3 of the biggest venue holders in London. Before I achieved this I worked in the London property market to great success, hence why I can tell you're a joke setup the second I turned up to the viewing and before by your terrible customer service over phone. I wouldn't give you my hard earned money to your company. Many thanks though, it did work out for me. I found an actual professional, ethical landlord instead of a "holding company" that only cares about return and not their tenants. To anyone considering this company.... Give them a call and confirm your viewing and hear if the person cares or not, then arrive at your viewing to have a load of other people there to view with you creating a "level of urgency" for the room or house, very unprofessional when your website leads you to believe that you are booking a 15min slot. It started quite badly, I went for a viewing and the agent was late. He just looked at his phone and was not bothered to show me around. Knowing I will not live with this agent I took the place with my friends. I met the landlord next day who said that the agency is pretty bad and if something is wrong with the flat he will sort it as he has building company. The neighbours from above were flooding us and there was no light for 6 months. My flatmates started to move out and the agency put responsibility to find other tenants on me. I was searching, checking if they have job etc and the agency was just taking money. I had to remind the agency about the end of tenancy agreement, all paperwork, and whenever I came over to the office they did not know what I am on about event thought the address was written in red on the board as 'urgent enquiry'. They blamed some poor agent who happened to be on leave because of family issues. Good work management will imply shifting that property to another agent, but not here. On multiple emails I was confused with the property owners, not surprising if I was forced to take those duties over. Eventually I decided to move out and of course I was made to find a replacement or I will not get my deposit back. I found replacement and did all the paperwork. A month later I heard that the agency kicked everybody out. Rude, obnoxious, not fulfilling their duties, not managing property at all. Avoid. There are way nicer and better agencies to rent from. As there is no chat thread on google I will comment on agency reply here: The flat was at 14 sharp house, The owner was Nick Paul, so acquire is not the landlord. The management was awful therefore the landlord had to manage it for acquired. And nope I am not lying. And I do not need any help as I moved out. Also most of your reviewers got 'one contribution' to the entire review system of google reviews, which makes certain suggestions.... Read more

Totally unprofessional. We organized a viewing and subsequently received the official e-mail from your official address where you congratulated yourself with us on being chosen for that room. We immediately got in touch with the "director of the agency" - which by the way is also very rude and unprofessional - that PERSONALLY told us on the phone and later via email from his personal address with his personal signature that we were the ones chosen and that we could have moved in also the next day, we just had to pay the £ 1,200 deposit via bank transfer. We did it the same evening as soon as we got back from work and no one contacted us. The next day, worried, we called to know if it had been received and this "director" informed us without too much courtesy that they had finally decided to give the room to another couple! One day later! He justified himself by saying that he gave them the room because they also made the transfer like us! As if this were a serious way to work, to make more people believe at the same time to have obtained a room and take the security deposit on both sides and not even inform the unfortunates who have paid the money. SHAME ON YOU! And this is their way of working! What's more, on the phone this guy promised us that he would return the money instantly but he never did. We had to run in person to the agency to tell him to return the money immediately or we would have called the police. These people play with people's money, time and patience! There is no trust, they are not HONEST and they are not PROFESSIONAL. AVOID.... Read more

I have just recently left my rented room in a flat in Canada Water where I have lived for the last year and my dealings with the guys at Aquire have been 1st class, any problems we had with the flat were dealt with promptly and professionally. The communication with aquire was always excellent , they were always polite and helpful and always ready to help.and I would recommend anyone looking for a good estate agent to give them a try, and if my situation changes with my accomodation theirs would be the 1st website I would check out. thanks again guys. Absolutely atrocious!Stay away! We got to an agreement and the agency pulled out last second (1 day prior moving date). They left us on the street and didn't care.I found out the day before moving when I contacted the agency to have an explanation on why the property was put back on the market (luckily i spotted that ).You can imagine my horror when few hours before moving in they told me that the agreement was not in place anymore.
