Their communication has been generally very good as a management company. As a letting agent, it left much to be desired; I had to chase them up for information on multiple occasions. However, they usually acknowledged that this wasn't acceptable and sorted things out.

Any complaints I've had have always been handled immediately. For example, I had a leak in the bathroom, for which they sent a plumber to fix and also arranged to have the (mildly) damaged floor replaced. They then checked that the work they'd done was satisfactory and that the problem didn't recur over the next few months. They also pro-actively schedule maintenance after the 6-monthly inspections, even down to replacing a loose door handle.

As a new landlord and new to the Bristol area, I found the Lettings Team very helpful in offering guidance, advice and putting me in touch with contractors in the area to help get the property ready to Let. To my surprise, they managed to let my property within 48 hours of owning it which was fantastic as I was expecting it to be empty for a few weeks. Consistently high quality, from Christopher Carstairs in particular, providing a value for money and stress free service.
We have been using Andrews' full management service, on our family home in Bristol, for almost 2 years while taking the opportunity to work in Australia.
Being so far away and never having let before, it was very important that we selected an agent in whom we could trust. Interviewing half a dozen, Andrews seemed to fit the bill. We did have some initial teething problems that appeared related to staff turnover just at the point we were leaving the country.
However since Christopher Carstairs took over management, a few weeks in, we have been consistently delighted with the level of professionalism, knowledge, advice, calmness and courtesy. Nothing seems phase him.
Being an older property there have been a number of maintenance issues, including one potentially serious structural issue. All have been dealt with effectively using Christopher's network of maintenance and building contractors. I was able to speak with the contractor for the major work and it was clear that he was experienced and able to supply a cost effective solution rather than, the more expensive, automatically replacing like with like.
We will certainly continue to use Christopher's service as long as it continues at this level.
