Matteo has been a great help, very responsive to emails and calls and even managed to assist with last minute emergencies which the buyer placed upon us in the last minute/days, but chaos was averted, thanks to matteo, professional, efficient and reliable. 16th Jan 2025 (3 days ago)We chose Your Move New Cross to sell our property. They were easy to respond during the first few days but as the time went by, they would not reply to our emails. We had to call them to get a response. I guess this is to prevent anything they say to be recorded on email hence being evidence against them. I thought i could rely on them to keep the keep the sale moving. I thought wrong. If i didnt keep on chasing, i wouldnt have known that the sellers solicitor have got the wrong email address of my solicitor! It wasnt the agents fault, but if I was not persistent enough, noone would know. We also lost a property that we wanted to buy because we where reassured that the sale was going as expected. We were told that we can complete but it never happened. We almost gave up with the sale but we were already into deep to pull out. For the record, we were told that the longest the sale would be was 16weeks. In the end, the sale took 10months! I dont know if I can recommend them really or is this is really how agents in UK work. Probably paid to poorly to care.

I felt they really looked after both me and my landlord in terms of our tenancy. It’s hard to find agencies that really care and I simply can’t recommend these guys enough!
16th Sep 2024 (18 weeks ago)This is a addition to my previous review left 2 years ago. We have bought the property through Clarendons and I can not recommend them enaugh. Especially Jordan who was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much for him and he did everything in order for our sale to be completed as soon as possible. Professional yet very friendly. It was a pleasure to deal with Clarendons, everyone was friendly and professional. I was very surprised when moved in to receive a welcome box with goodies inside. Never seen any other agencies doing that.

They chased up the vendor when needed and were on hand to give help, advice and support when issues arose. I would heartily recommend them to anyone.

They kept us informed throughout the process, giving advice on how to sell faster. They helped us through the exchange and completion process making sure it all went quickly and smoothly. All the team are professional and so helpful. Justine kept us up to date with our sale and has been outstanding throughout. We can not thank them enough for what they have done.

18th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

29th Sep 2024 (16 weeks ago)Overall they have been a great estate agent. They originally valued the property at £450k which was too high and resulted in no viewings. I had to drop the price by £25k after 6 weeks so I think they got the valuation wrong originally. The team were great, communication was good with the team setting up a what’s app good.
