We were originally with another estate agent (one that claims they don't charge commission!!) but weren't getting anywhere. We instructed Anthony Martin who gave us an honest & accurate valuation of our property and marketed it in the right way. Viewings were beyond expectations and we have now exchanged and will be completing very soon. Thank you to all the team at the Bexleyheath branch (especially Carl) for a thoroughly professional service.

Manager is friendly & non pushy enough but others in the team just tell you what you want to hear to get you off the phone, not sufficient vetting of buyers financial status resulted in many months being wasted for me

We could not rate this estate agents high enough, when we decided to move our daughter looked at rightmove to get an idea of what our property would be worth and noted that Anthony Martin had a property to sell in our road so we decided to get them round. We dealt with Carl and being elderly did not want hordes of viewings of which Carl was very understanding so booked us for an open day viewing. We signed up with him right away on the Thursday as we instantly had confidence in Carl and Anthony Martin. The open day was for the Saturday of the following week. However on the following Saturday Carl phoned my daughter and discussed having a viewing that Saturday. He explained that we didn’t have to and it could wait for the following week! However we jumped at the chance and he sold it that day!!! We were amazed that he sold it in less than 2 full days!!
We were then in a race to find somewhere - however Carl put our minds at rest that we had time to look and not rush and panic buy as he knew the buyers situation and we were fine at the pace we were looking.
We cannot rate this branch high enough. They know their market and their buyers as well as sellers. They kept us informed throughout the whole process and took all the stress out of moving from the very start. They we understanding to our situation- being in our 70’s and always had time to explain things fully.
When we did ring into the branch all members of staff knew of our property without having to put us on hold and look up our file. We really cannot rate them high enough - the only downside to moving is that we are now out of their area so couldn’t used them in the future ....... though we’ll keep their number just in case.

Great shop and proved really helpful during our epic search for the right house. Though in the end we bought a house from another company they had a few near misses which we viewed and their assistance and insight was invaluable in making the final decision. Many , many thanks for all your help.

So far I've been waiting 21days for my deposit to be returned and keep getting fobbed off by the property maintenance department saying landlords verbally agreed but needs to put it in writing, no further correspondence from them that was a week ago , I'm still no clearer as to when I'm getting this back, I had the house I left completely redecorated before giving back the keys ..quick enough to take the deposit, renters beware!!!!!!

We had the best experience working with Anthony Martin estate agents in Bexley village. We often had to arrange last minute viewings at awkward times and as first time buyers needed more guidance than most, but nothing was ever too much. Everyone we dealt with from start to finish was lovely and so helpful; helping us navigate financial advisors and solicitors and generally going above and beyond their role at every opportunity. When we went to pick up the keys we even had a congratulations card and welcome package waiting which was just such a thoughtful gesture to end the experience with. We would definitely recommend Anthony Martin to anyone about to go through this experience and can’t recommend working with Paul, James and Jane enough. Thank you!

Right from the start they gave us an excellent service.
Tarkan and Chloe were always on the ball and so nice and friendly.
I would go out of my way to recommend the Dartford branch. They got us our buyer quickly, even though it was a slow time of the year.

Constant disappointment... My partner and I were 1st time buyers, and were thrilled when our offer on a property was accepted in February 2018. We had every hope of completion by mid-June ready for our move to the area from the Midlands, and were made to believe this was a realistic target. As this date approached, we became concerned that little progress was being made despite regular enquiries on our part. We were constantly told 'you're looking to exchange within the next couple of weeks', however this never came. My work contract began on the 25th June, leading to a 6 week stay in a hotel, plus boarding for my dog and cat in kennels, until we finally completed on the 2nd August. Definitely not the start to my career I had planned! Daily phone calls delivered more false promises, only to find out in mid July that the top of the chain had no intention of moving until August and that this had been known all along. We came very close to abandoning the purchase, and I regret not doing this months previously. Nearly all of our savings went on hotel fees leaving little left over for anything else. The only positive we can take away from this experience is when buying/selling in the future, we have a list of estate agents we know to avoid.
