Aspen Estate Agents have been amazing right from the beginning when Alex came to value our flat, through to Clayton always being friendly and available to have a chat, show us properties and consider our individual needs when viewing a property, Ryan who did viewings on our flat for us and got us sold asap!! And then Caitlyn, the one person who I can say sorted things out swiftly, was always on it, and got us through to exchange quite quickly! She went above and beyond and worked hard on the chain, even when that was not her job to do. Very friendly, approachable and transparent!

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Listed our property for sale with Alex who sold us the dream, promised us so many things, and his valuation was considerably higher than the other local agents, we should have realised it was all too good to be true. He was our best mate up until the point we signed the contract, went from non stopping calling us, to never being heard from again. We had to call the office over and over to get hold of anyone, little did we know they have a very small sales team of 2 or 3 people, when we finally got through and asked why we had little to no viewings, we were told we had pushed the price too high and should be more realistic, after being told originally we would have no problem getting the price they had valued it at! Absolute joke of a company, if you are selling your property do not believe a word of their lies, it’s all a well rehearsed sales pitch to get you to sign with them, you are then left full of regrets wishing you had listened to the other agents who were being truthful with you from the start. If you have any sense STAY AWAY!!!

It all started rather well with our offer quickly accepted and our dream property off the market. I must say that it came as a shock to find out that the person who placed the property on the market had no right to do so, and that this was never checked by the agent prior to accepting our offer. Shocking lack of due diligence. We found out about it 3 weeks into the process where we have already paid over £1,500 for various searches, mortgage etc. Fortunately, we can recover that money.
I think what shocks me the most is that I have asked about Power of Attorney being in place prior to placing the offer and again few days later, and on both occasions I was reassured that everything is in place.
The stress and disappointment this has caused is immense and I truly hope that Aspen learns from this, so no one else has to go through a similar experience.

Aspens sold my house within 2 weeks of them putting it up for sale in a depressed market. They acted with integrity from start to finish without some of the false sales 'patter' you expect from some estate agencies who just want to get the business at any cost. They advised on a realistic selling price and managed the selling process with absolute integrity through to exchange of contracts removing the stress from the process as much as could have been expected. Their communication was first class throughout the chain and their local market knowledge is first class. I would recommend Aspens to anyone wishing to sell their property in todays market.

Just to update my review of 2 years ago. I’m still using Aspens to let my property. Cameron took care of finding new tenants for me and Tara organises and sorts everything. They do a really professional job and I’m delighted to leave things in their very capable hands.
I have used Aspens to let my maisonette in Ashford Middlesex for quite a few years. I have always found them to be helpful, friendly and professional. If there have been any issues with the tenants Aspens have got onto it immediately. I would recommend their service to anyone thinking of letting a property.
Just to add the tenant that had been in the premises left recently. I cannot say how brilliant Aspens were in the whole process of updating, compliance, redecorating and finding a new tenant. A massive thank you for all your help.

I can't recommend Aspens enough. I knew several years ago I wanted to sell and that they were the firm to go through when the time finally came. They are honest, down to earth, and supportive throughout. James was an absolute star during my will I sell, stay or rent phase. When I finally came to sell this year I knew that they were the only agent in town for me. James was right off the starter block. Came around to assess and discuss again, got it listed quickly and got his top colleague Clayton on it to get the sale going. I knew then that I had chosen the right firm. Clayton moved mountains to get viewings in and generate interest. He got me the right people to buy the property within only 2 weeks of viewings. He has always gone out of his way to keep me posted and the potential and actual buyers posted on the progress and with his straight talking, honest, friendly and thorough approach and 37 years of industry knowledge he is more than a safe pair of hands. Throughout nothing was too much trouble. I picked up the phone with questions about mine and onwards viewings and he was there to support. I know he takes great pride in his personal touch with his clients and those looking to buy. Taking care to build relationships and understand requirements. I can't thank the team enough. Amazing friendly proactive and professional service from Clayton Rob and Chris .The experience I've received from Aspen is I would confidently recommend them to look after your needs when buying and selling .
I met Clayton at the Ashford office to discuss selling my mother in laws house in Hanworth . My impression was that he was very knowledgeable about the area and reassured me that he would be able to sell the property quickly . This was great news as we had already found a new property for her.
Within 2 days we had 5 viewings with 3 offers .
My ultimate respect for Aspens came when the first buyers pulled out after 2 weeks.Clayton is proactive and immediately reassured us that the property would be sold again quickly. 2 days later we had 4 more viewings and 2 offers .
Each morning I had a phone call with updates .
My overall impression of Aspens is that they really understand the stress of selling and buying properties puts on their clients and do their utmost to alleviate the pressures .

I don't like giving bad reviews and have tried to be fair. The problems we experienced were:
- when we asked for a bedroom photo to be changed, it took about 4-5 weeks and 3 visits before they eventually did what I asked. The resulting photo was poor too!
- we were told that we had positive feedback then didn't hear anymore
- we were told that someone who had made an offer was going to market their house that week. Agent said (after coming to take yet another photo of the room) that it was going to be on the market next day. When I asked him about a week later, he said that they had changed their minds and became very offensive when I questioned why I had not been told. Unfortunately, that was the end for me.

5 star review is not enough !! From start to finish the whole ashford team have been absolutely outstanding , flawless and professional. It was my first time selling a home and the way the team helped and guided us was amazing. Clayton would make contact with us at least once a week and then daily leading up to the exchange / completion. Clayton made what could be an extremely stressful time completely stress free and I honestly cannot recommend Aspen enough. Even when we were nearing our mortgage deadline the whole team kept us calm and really reassured and got things sorted when the solicitors were not assisting efficiently enough ( we wish we went with aspen’s recommended solicitor) Rob the manager is also 10 out of 10 and runs a fantastic team.
Both my partner and I recommend aspen to anyone that’s asks and we would 110% use them again when we buy/sell in the future

We sold our house with Aspen at the start of 2022.
Aspen are a smaller but very knowledgeable local estate agent who have a unique approach to how they deal with their clients. I found when comparing with other agents, I felt pressured and was being upsold items I clearly didn't need and quoted ridiculous prices as a result, however when Aspen came in they relaxed us immediately with explaining everything in detail so we understood what we was getting.
When the house was on the market we was called by an agent and notified automatically by text when the booking was confirmed. An agent would always call us back the following day with feedback too.
Once our sale was accepted we spent some time looking for another property which Aspen was very patient with and helped keep our buyer happy by updating, them by letting them where we was in our property search as it took a little longer than usual. That really took the pressure off to allow us time to focus on finding a home that we right for us.
While we was waiting for surveys and legal tasks to go through Aspen was always there to hold our hand every step of the way. If we was unsure about some of the terminology or procedures Aspen would be happy to receive a call from us to go through it which really took a lot of the stress away from us.
I cannot recommend Aspen highly enough. Especially Clayton who has been amazing to deal with from start to finish!

We did our research of estate agents in the area over a few months, Aspen were the most consistent with their valuation of the property but were also honest. We found that their price and length of contract was reasonable of 8 weeks. Due to strong communication skills and feedback visible to us we were able to sell the property within 3 weeks of listing. Since property sold and working to wards exchange and completion, Aspen have been very communicative and ensuring that all parties involved are on the same page. This has been excellent and proved to be valuable as without Aspen being so proactive we would ahve found more delays. It appears that between sale and completion we are looking at 6 months which is speedy despite a chain.

I cannot stress enough how going with a reputable and supportive estate agent like Aspen is important to the buying process! This was my first purchase and it was all so new to me! Carla from Aspen really did go the extra mile to ensuring this was as much of an easy process for me as possible! She went far and beyond from arranging viewings on weekends/ evenings, (which was more than three times as I really wanted to make sure!) staying patient and understanding with me, to even supporting me throughout the whole exchange and completion process. Hopefully not soon, but when I do move on, I will definitely just call Carla and buy with her again!
Another lovely touch was being able to call Aspen and if Carla was not in, being able to speak to any member of the team regarding my property. After my Dad passed, it became obvious that our family home was too big for mum.
We did not view our future home straight away, it was a property just around the corner. The lovely lady that was conducting our viewing was friendly and informative and could see that that bungalow was too large for us.
Within 30min of that viewing she called us back and asked if we would be interested in seeing a smaller bungalow around the corner. She said that she thought it would suit mum's needs.
Wow was she right. Mum instantly fell in love with this home.
You could feel the love in this property.
Clayton could not have been more helpful and accomodating. What a special service all staff at this company provide.
Mum had not moved home in 42 years and was a little apprehensive to venturing into the world of property. However having such well informed helpful staff made this task an easy and enjoyable adventure.

After having a terrible experience trying to sell our house with another local estate agent (see previous review....), when we re-listed our house we opted for Aspen (having found them very user friendly when attempting to buy a property through them previously).
After listing the property on the Friday we had a whole host of viewings instantly lined up for the Saturday, and amazingly had 2 offers in at asking price by the Monday! A complete breath of fresh air.
We have now exchanged on our sale which is a huge relief for us, and we couldn't have asked for a better service. There were a few minor hiccups along the way as is almost inevitable with house moving, but Clayton kept us informed throughout. Communication was great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Aspen give you a proper service and seem to genuinely care as opposed to some other agents who 'rack and stack' the moves and view you as simply a number.

I initially spoke to several agents in the local area and Aspen was one that I shortlisted to meet at the property. Chris Cotton from Aspen was the only agent that produced evidence of successful lettings that he had managed that were similar to my property. This gave me the confidence in his valuation and ability to get the right rental income and tenants. The property that I rented unfortunately had a number of issues due to age, but any issue which was raised was dealt with promptly by Aspens, namely Keith and Tara. My experiences of Estate Agents in the past have been at best adequate and at worst horrific. Although I own another property, I had to move from the property quickly due to personal circumstances. Aspens sourced a rental property that was suitable, arranged an immediate viewing with no high pressure selling! Keith Howard, the Lettings Manager is the ultimate professional and ensured that he personally managed the whole process. It was seamless. We worked closely with Sally and James however the entire team at Aspen are great.
From the initial meeting with James, who spent an hour with us explaining the process, guiding us through market pricing, explaining vieiwng guidelines especially with Covid-19, and generally introducing us to Aspen, however whilst at no point making us feel pressured, we knew Aspen were the choice for us.
Sally, who in fact assisted us with the purchase of the same property we were selling 7 years later, was another big factor in our decision. We knew how Sally worked and had absolute confidence that once James and Sally had marketed our property, found a suitable buyer, negotiated between buyer and seller and started the legal process, Sally would be the intermediary between solicitors and agents and Sally has once again been superb.
As said the entire team at Aspen is second to none however our special thanks and gratitude must go to James and Sally who have been professional, responsive and completely committed to our sale from start to finish.
I cannot recommend Aspen highly enough, they are without doubt a class apart in their field and once again special thanks to Sally and James.

Worst Estate agent in Ashford, AVOID at all costs if you are selling, buying or renting. There are a lot of reliable agents in and around Ashford. We were buying a house from them our offer was accepted and everything was in order for 3 weeks, after that I received a call to say someone else has put a better offer which was a surprise as the house should have been taken off the market which was not done after many requests. I was not informed of another offer until I called the agent and he said it just came in 1 hour before. In order to secure the house I said I will better the offer by 10k which a lot more than asking price. To my surprise I was being told no the owner does not want extra 10k which is bizarre and still don't under how can anyone refuse 10k more for their property??? The guy who was dealing with our potential purchase was the manager himself who is utterly unprofessional and not at all cooperative, I have to chase them every time for an update as they did not bother to contact me, I called them over 25 time over the period of 3 weeks and I only received 2 calls from the agent which just shows there commitment. The house itself not quite dear and and just under half a million so it was a bug purchase for us. Please all be careful with this agent and avoid them at all costs.

I kept chasing, and finally was told that the house was sold to a person who made a better offer. What a surprise when I saw that the house was actually sold at 5k less than what I offered!. Avoid this agency, the worst one we had to deal with!
We tried to rent a house with them, did everything from our side, such as provided the required documents and passed the referencing. However, It was not enough for them they kept asking more questions day by day, asked for a guarantor that we provided, taking time, basically just messed around with us. The whole process took over 3 weeks, until we just gave up, decided that waiting more is just pointless and it is not worse it to try and get back our deposit. At the end we just went with another agency and rented a house within a week time.
They knew our situation (myself being heavily pregnant with another baby) and that we had to move out from our previous flat in a week time and promised that everything will be on time, however that was not the case, we had to stay in a hotel for weeks.
We dealt with Liam and Sarah, as well as branch manager, all of them were useless and careless, very unprofessional and unresponsive. I wish we read the reviews before we tried to rent a house with them.
Honestly stay away from Aspen agency, we had such a stressful time with them. If operating that way they will definitely close down shortly.
