We've just sold our house using Stirling Ackroyd Staines. We met Ben initially who was amazing at explaining the process and agreeing a listing price. He was also great at reassuring me on the strategy that Stirling would take in selling in our property. We then met Callum who oversaw viewings and our open day. Again, he was amazing at showing our property around and getting multiple offers on our property. He also kept us well informed through the process. After an offer was accepted, both Ben and Hannah were great at chasing the buyer and solicitors to ensure everything was progressing well. After searching for a property for nearly a year, we had seen many different estate agents, and often dealt with agents who didn’t know much about the property they were showing around. Every time we had seen a property with Stirling Ackroyd, their agents gave a detailed viewing, answered all our questions, and if they did not know the answer, would often come back with it at a later date. Me and my fiancé were looking for our first home together! Foz was so helpful I called the branch and he had me booked in for a viewing within 3 hours of my call! So quick and efficient within 6 hours we had our offer accepted also he let me and my fiancé come see the property that night so that my fiancé could see the property properly and we were moved in within 2 weeks!

They managed to rent my property for the full asking price with the tenants moving in within 2 weeks of it being empty. Couldn’t recommend them more! I mostly find the staff to be really helpful and go out of your way to help you! I was told before moving into my property that it would be fully furnished however the estate agent hadn't actually checked this with the landlord, it had just been presumed, meaning that I moved in with my property missing furniture which I now have to pay for.. The estate agents response to this was simply sorry, nothing was offered to rectify the mistake.

Don`t rent through them. Slow response to maintenance request is just one of their many failings. The room was dirty and there was mould on the walls, they didn`t even reply to my complaints regarding this. They are the worst agency in the area. Non-existent customer service and bad communication. Sleep under a bridge if you have to, but avoid them at any costs.

FIRST CLASS STAFF AND SERVICE - Having used Townends in 2012 to rent out this property, we decided that we wanted to use them again to sell it on our behalf in 2019. SO GLAD WE DID!
From start to finish it was stress free and very slick.
There were no promises made that they could not meet.
The photographs were tastefully done, and the marketing of our property was professional and honest.
All the viewings (and second viewings) were attended by a Townends representative. They were in constant contact with us regarding feedback and never left us out of the loop at any stage.

Best experience of using an estate agent even though I live hundreds of miles away. Must mention Matt who was very positive, professional and super efficient in getting the flat onto the market.
