I am incredibly grateful to Kecia for her exceptional work and support throughout our recent property sale and purchase. From start to finish, Kecia was dedicated and showed genuine care, which made the progress a lot less stressful in a very stressful situation.
Kecia had a really proactive approach. She kept us informed at every stage of the process, providing clear explanations and guidance that ensured we were always well-informed and confident in our decisions. Despite my calling her about 50 times a day, she never seemed annoyed and always went above and beyond.
When my solicitor was failing to deliver, Kecia consistently went the extra mile to address any concerns or challenges that arose, swiftly resolving them, even handling parts of the job that probably weren't her responsibility.
Selling and buying a property can be a very daunting process. I wasn't really aware of how valuable the Sales Progression department was beforehand; however, now on the other side, I'm incredibly glad that we had Kecia.
In summary, I cannot recommend Kecia highly enough; she will make your selling or purchasing experience a lot easier.
Also out experience working with Ben was exceedingly positive. Our property sale proved to be quite challenging, with numerous bumps along the way. When our original buyer withdrew, Ben swiftly secured us a new offer within a week. As we encountered further hurdles, we were fortunate to have Ben negotiating on our behalf, ensuring the progression of the sale. Initially, when selecting an estate agent, we primarily considered the initial offer stage. However, in hindsight, we now realise that they play a crucial role throughout the entire process. So it's important to have the right person by your side. His constant availability to offer insights and guidance proved invaluable during the stressful times, which reduced a lot of the anxiety around the sale.

I will be forever thankful to her because she introduced us to Ben, our exceptional broker. Andrea will hold your hand from start to finish in looking for your perfect property. My husband and I didn't know anything about Southfields but she supplied us a lot of information about the area during our viewings. Her level of knowledge and amount of data that she had about the market was impressive.
On the other hand, I cannot stress enough how remarkable Ben is. He is everything you need in purchasing a property! We are first time buyers and have no clue or idea how, where to start. We were scared but since day one that we spoke to Ben, he brings nothing but positive vibes in the process of buying our property. There is no such things as complicated to him because he will thoroughly explain everything for better understanding. Ben's expertise has made our buying process easy and will work with you to make your desires a reality.

I'm astonished how they have such a good rating. I can only describe them as unorganised and high handed. I had an in person mortgage consulting followed by 4 house viewings. I received a call in the morning that the mortgage consulting was canceled and everything else remains the same. I reached their office with my family to find no one there to show us around. Our agent did not bother to call and speak with me while we were waiting for almost an hour. Another agent got there and assured us that he would be able to show us all the places. However things changed as we entered the first house and he said that he could not show us anything else and offered to drop us back at the office, which I refused.
I decided to wait for a few days for them to get back to me and explain what happened, but that was too much to expect. I consider myself lucky that this happened on the first day itself.

I made the huge mistake of listing my flat with Barnard Marcus, when I wish I had listed it with KFH from the outset. Barnard Marcus sold the dream and then weren't able to deliver at all, with not a single second viewing over the course of many weeks. KFH sold my flat within a couple of days. My flat was also burgled while my keys were in the care of Barnard Marcus, all my sentimental belongings throughout my life were stolen (not to mention the emotional trauma) and Barnard Marcus were offensively rude in their response, when I was just trying to find out more information and dealing with the huge repercussions from the burglary. I encourage anyone considering selling their property to list with KFH rather than Barnard Marcus

Waited for 35min at the property to do the viewing, the agent never turned up (initially was told that they’d be 10min late) and it was not possible to get through to the actual branch. I was a tenant of the place that my landlord was selling through Barnard Marcus estate agency. I found the guys (Dec and Cam from Southfields branch) who were arranging the viewings for potential buyers being very professional and super flexible around mine and my flatmate's schedules especially that during this pandemic we were always working from home and couldn't always accommodate due to our work meetings or other engagements. We were always given an advance notice for the viewings as well. While I didn't use them to sell or buy a place, I had a very positive experience of dealing with this agency as a tenant in the place that was for sale so I can recommend them. I also know that my previous landlord had used these guys before so they are very reliable! :)

They're super responsive, always there when you need their help, proactive in chasing up the solicitors, and they strike the perfect balance (that lots of other estate agents get horribly, horribly wrong) between contacting you too little and too much.

Barnard Marcus was great! My flat went up for sale on 7th June 2021 and I accepted an offer on 14th July 2021 at just below asking price. Sharon was very knowledgeable and friendly, she carried out the initial valuation and kept me updated as to interest regularly and put the work in to change the photos and those kind of bits round to keep engagement high. We used Inhouse Photography to take the photos and video of the property. It was very quick to organise and didn’t take any time at all for the photos to be taken and for the property to go live.
The viewing process was a little tricky with working from home and having to try and avoid viewings during work meeting times, however Dec, Cameron and Chris organised the viewing for times that worked for us which was really appreciated. Once an offer was received, they also worked with me to understand the offer and guided a bit of back-and-fourth until I received the best offer I could.
During the conveyancing process Cameron was quick to provide updates and nudge the buyers when needed. There are always hiccups when you sell a property but Cameron’s friendly manner helped me feel at ease and confident that it would work out.
Overall, I found the Southfields team professional and friendly – 5*.

Can I be totally honest? Buying a property (for anyone who doesn't know) is hard work. Despite the estate agent you opt for, there are a lot of variables which make the process stressful despite all the preparation you do - most people do say its a tough process and they are right!. That said, it was good working with Barnard Marcus. Dec from the team showed me a property almost the next day after I called them with interest. He was professional, prompt and showed the perfect property for my needs. I worked with various members of the team over the course of the transaction and, whilst a bit turbulent due to many other factors, it was good working with the team. Sharon was great in chasing up on the solicitors and keeping me informed on the sellers side. Seb was great and very thorough in securing a mortgage offer and following up on the specific requirements from the lender. Chris (team lead) helped lot in pushing though to completion. I visited the branch often so got to meet / know the team more and that was quite enjoyable to have frequent face to face communications. A great team - good to work with and more importantly , got the job done!. Word of caution - make sure you choose the right solicitor - It will make your life a lot easier! Ben Cowles was referred to me for a good contact for mortgage advice. I have a property that i as renting out and still paying off what remained on a mortgage. I'd spoken to other advisors and said that i had this property and wanted to understand what my options were. Ben was the only advisor i spoke to that suggested that a remortgage to release equity. We spoke to a mortgage advisor that provided advice rather than just submits mortgage applications.
After agreeing to use Ben for the process of applying for 2 mortgages and a home purchase, he kept up the communication insuring I knew what i needed and when as well as liaising and prompting other people/companies in the process. The best example was when he prompted me to ask the solicitor whether s/he knew that i need them to process a buy to let as well as a residential repayment mortgage, Had he not done this we'd have missed the tight stamp duty deadline.
Other examples are numerous, but Ben initially sold himself (and Barnard Marcus) on his ability to get stuck in. I think the fact that he carried out the relevant income checks etc and then was able to proxy that information to the sales agents when we wanted a second booking was invaluable.
We even had to change providers very late on the day and i suspect it was thanks to his tenacity that we managed to get the level of escalation etc that was required to get the application completed in time.
The short version is, as well as knowing his craft (mortgage advice), Ben gets stuck in and involved with the whole process. I cant recall a single occasion where i had to prompt him for anything, he is always one move ahead.

My partner and I fell in love with a house in January this year and were desperate to move on it quickly in order to not lose the sale. For this to happen, Chris and Declan from the Southfields office had to pull out all the stops.
They valued my existing home within a day or two of us making contact and did everything at super-speed to get it photographed and listed on their website, as well as Zoopla and RightMove by Friday afternoon in order for us to catch the weekend traffic.

We originally chose Barnard Marcus as they were able to demonstrate a superior local knowledge and track record in flat sales (vs houses) to their competitors and were the most confident of delivering a result that they subsequently backed that up. Their fees were competitive (and subsequently well earned!) and their contract flexible to our needs.
We have already recommended Barnard Marcus to other neighbours contemplating selling and would encourage anyone seeking to buy or sell a flat in the area to contact Chris and his team.

Ben Cowles was recommended to me by a friend and for good reason. Despite being the mortgage advisor, Ben also forwarded flat options to me and actually found the flat I ended up buying. I feel the service I received was above and beyond what was required or expected and his open, friendly and accommodating (WhatsApping me while I was abroad to keep me up to date) approach was much appreciated and made all the difference.

We have, at long last, sold our London flat. There had previously been problems whenever we attempted to sell a very nice flat using what we thought were competent agents in the area. Then we received advice from a colleague that Barnard Marcus were probably the best agents in our locality and that they would be worth trying. We contacted Chris Randall and he was cautiously optimistic. He outlined his strategy for our flat and he found us a potential buyer even before the property was officially put on the market. The sale was not entirely smooth, in that the prospective purchaser suddenly withdrew about half-way through the conveyancing process Barnard Marcus guided us through the rest of the process and we eventually completed the sale at we thought was a very reasonable in a falling market. We cannot speak too highly of the agents themselves and Chris Randall in particular. We would recommend them very highly.

Will originally showed us the property and was incredibly patient with us when we wanted to see the property again at inconvenient times of the day! My wife and I had the pleasure of purchasing a property through Barnard Marcus, Southfields.
We initially spoke to Will who took us to view a variety of properties to gauge exactly what we were looking for.
Once we had an offer accepted we were invited to speak to Ben, the Mortgage Adviser. Although we had an Agreement in Principle we thought we would hear what Ben had to say. He was very helpful and found us a different deal that better suited our needs.
Will, Ben and Chris (Branch Partner) made the purchase a breeze. They clearly worked very closely together on a daily basis to ensure every step of the process was expedited at the first opportunity. They also recommended a conveyancer who was equally as impressive.
If you’re looking to purchase a property in Southfields then these are the guys to go to.

We had our Southfields flat on the market with another estate agent from April 18 but little interest. After viewing a new house with master salesman Will at Barnard Marcus (which we put offer on), they persuaded us to give them a go at selling our place in July. Little did I expect the quickness with which they would get viewers, receiving an initial offer (at asking price) within two days. After this fell through we received a very solid offer within 2 more weeks. We have just exchanged on both our sale and purchase all within 7 week process. I really cannot speak highly enough of both Chris as the branch manager, Will who is just brilliant and the other guys working there. Their engagement, professionalism, determination and approachability have significantly taken the stress out of this process and I could not recommend them more. Thankyou gentlemen and thankyou Barnard Marcus. I would also say that they referred us to use Cavendish legals, both Ben and Naq are superstars and very competitively priced.

An absolute nightmare! We have been renting the property for 2.5 years and we had to deal with the most useless and inefficient team. The maintenance issues were never resolved with people sitting without heating and got water for over 2 weeks! Literally none of maintanence request were address, with the property manager having a out of office reply at all times! We have vacated 3.5 months ago and since have been chasing for our security deposit return!!! Will be reporting to Property Obudsman for the the way this agency dealt with all the matters from start to finish. Joshua/Amber/Leroy - is anyone here?

Never write these reviews, but BM were exceptional at their job throughout, never falling into to the trap of telling us "what we want to hear", but managing our expectations, keeping it realistic, occasionally optimistic, and ultimately delivering in exactly the way you said you would. They talked a good game and most certainly delivered it.
We really appreciated the exceptional service, constantly going above and beyond, as well as the exceptionally professional way you handled all parties involved.
This reads like one of hose naff ads on the tube, for which you think the words were made up by an ad agency, but a genuine thank you, for getting us there.

Appalling communication and service whilst trying to sell my flat from this branch. I experienced lost paperwork/admin, a suggestion to drop the price of my flat within 6 weeks and TWO unannounced viewings entering my flat without any warning. If I were an older lady, I most certainly would’ve experienced a heart attack.
This is unacceptable customer service and this particular branch have demonstrated exactly why people are moving to online estate agents. Awful experience and handling, and most definitely not worth a 1.3% selling fee.
