We are at the beginning of the process of purchasing a property through Barnard Marcus and so far, the service has been excellent. Leandra showed around 4 very different properties and was friendly, professional and relaxed (as in 'not pushy') throughout. After our offer was accepted it took us ages to sign the contract and when the first version of the contract was sent to us the tenancy period was wrong.
During almost one month we have been asking for the contract so that we could read it and sign it, but we only manage to get it 5 days before the move.
The process of deducting money from our account to remove the property from the market was quite fast, we even paid without having read or signed the contract don't think this would be the normal procedure.
We moved 10 days ago. When we came in the house it was filthy, carpets were not clean, kitchen ceiling was yellow from fat, furniture was left by the previous tenant, etc...
We sent emails reporting these issues and after ten days waiting. No reply...
Up until now we didn't receive the inventory of the house.
So, I would say that they haven’t been very professional with us.
It would be good if you could reduce your response time and at least provide dates on when we may expect to receive answers from the questions, we tenants raise.

We were recently looking for a property through Barnard Marcus, Streatham. The agent we dealt with, Leandra, was lovely. She made the whole process feel very un-pressured, whilst still following up with us regularly and listening carefully to what we were looking for - getting us in to view properties early when they came on the market. She was really patient with us being very picky customers and her whole approach made us wish we had found the perfect property through BM, as it would have been nice to know she would have had commission from a sale to us.

We just bought our first house and we are extremely satisfied with Barnard and Marcus. We were running out of time because we had to leave our flat before exchange contracts and Glen and Adrian helped to speed up the process with the solicitors. In particular Glen handled some situations between both sides solicitors and vendor to finish the process before Christmas. These are the kind of things that we appreciate from an agency.

Their incompetence genuinely knows no bounds. I moved out of a property nearly a year ago and I'm still getting grief from these lot for stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with me - all the problems have been of Barnard Marcus' making. Avoid at all costs.

The reason why I contacted this agency is because of their reviews and a recommendation. Enthusiastic, charming, passionate and knowledgable. I decided to sell my house because of Zak the manager. Zoe did a fantastic job with my pictures and making my house go on the internet. Aqweb and Mahmoud did all the viewings on my house and sold it a couple of days later. They did a fantastic job and kept me informed. Both fantastic and professional. Thank you to the whole team. I can see why they have such amazing reviews. Great team and hard working. Cant really fault these chaps for anything. They done everything perfectly and sold my house. Zak and Aqib is who i dealt and i would happily recommend their services to everyone. Communication is priceless. Good or bad news, they called and told me and had a plan for me.
