Wouldn't recommend AT ALL. My friend and I did an offer for one of their properties for rent. After few days the offer got accepted. Then the referencing process started and it took FOREVER. Never once we were updated on the developments of the process! We wrote plenty email ( maybe just one of them got an answer)and called the agency numerous times ( it's super hard to get through letting, they take your number and never call back).
Finally, the landlord decided to proceed the tenancy with an other agency (apparently with cheaper fees) and we remained empty handed! I understand this might not be entirely dependent on the agency but it won't change my opinion about Barnard Marcus Streatham! Very unprofessional and UNRELIABLE!
The only quick process was the one of deducting money from our account to remove the ad of the property from their website. Of course we still waiting for the money to be refunded (and of course we haven't been told when the money will be refunded....).

My and my friend moved to my new flat recently and it all was so easy and quick with Barnard Marcus. We had the viewing on a Saturday morning and we were signing the contract the following Friday. Leroy and Dominic explained every part of the process very clearly and were always available and willing to help when we needed it. I highly recommend to contact them if you are thinking of renting.

Stephen has been a great mental support and financial advisor for my first home adventure. He was the most patient and understanding all along.
Him and Aaron (Earlsfield branch) have been the perfect partners, helping me to see the bright side, to trust my guts, and to pay attention to the most important during the Process. They really put the client first, and this is so rare that it deserves a huge recognition.

Catastrophic

Tried to rope me into a 3 year contract, and pay them over 7 grand, just to find a tenant. When I spoke to the tenants they did the same to them.

Told me that the tenant had all their own furniture, I throw out furniture. When I spoke with tenants they had bought furniture as the agent had said no furniture included. The property came with parking space, the agent told the tenant it would cost them extra. They charged the tenant £1000, plus referencing at £180 per person (there was 4 of them).

On the day of the move they still had not sent me contact details, info to fill out my tenancy, or info on their reference checks

My friend and I were looking for a place to rent, in close approx. of Streatham and Tooting. We saw a place on their website and contacted BM Streatham immediately.
We had a very quick response and within a couple of weeks, everything has been sorted and we've just moved in.
Leroy and Kemar were explicitly helpful and made the whole process very friendly, very swiftly and professionally. I cannot recommended them enough.

I was never of the opinion that purchasing a house would be straightforward, but I also didn’t expect to take 7 months to get my keys for a property that was already vacant! As one can imagine, I had a range of emotions during that time (not always positive), but now that I have settled in and can reflect on the process, I have a few things to say.

Firstly, I love my property, so well done Barnard Marcus for having such a gem on your books. The team at Barnard Marcus were professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the flat and really worked with the seller and me to have my offer accepted. Even my additional requests that could have easily been ‘deal-breakers’ for the seller were put forward and accepted by the seller, and I know that it is down to the skillful negotiation of the BM team. However, all the excitement died down after my third month when everything went quiet and I worried that the seller was going to pull out. Thankfully, Matt was newly assigned to my case and since he came on board, he was nothing short of amazing. Matt took a personal interest in closing this deal and tactfully navigated all parties to get things moving along. But the waiting continued, and after waiting another 3 months and realising that Matt was going on leave with no exchange date agreed (down to bad timing really), I worried that this deal was going to fall through because both the seller and I were frustrated with the delays. Before he left, Matt assured me that we were close to closing and passed me over to his capable colleague Elliot in his absence. I was cynical but Elliot proved Matt right. Elliot got into action and made the deal happen. In less than 2 weeks I had my contracts to review, exchanged and completed. Nothing short of a miracle in my opinion. But what really stood out to me was Elliot’s commitment even after the deal was closed. Elliot personally visited the flat and arranged to have the garage emptied and cleaned (I think he did some of the work himself too). And even on my moving day when I needed a moving truck at short notice, Elliot came to the rescue and had someone there within 2 hours. Now if that isn’t dedication and great customer service, then I don’t know what is.

And to Paul Simey of Connells Group (based at the BH office), my amazing mortgage advisor. Thank you for making this process an easy one. Nothing was ever too much trouble for you. You were responsive, patient and knowledgeable and always ensured I have all the information to make an informed decision.

And of course to Sashan, for taking all my calls over the last 7 months, trying to find out the answers for me when your colleagues were away, and never getting annoyed once. You rock!

We moved to London with my wife and we had the best of the experiences with Yuri and Andreja to rent our first apartment. They are really nice people and really helpful. They made the impossible to help us to moved to the place we picked as soon as possible to avoid expending much in a temporary place. We are really happy.
