We managed to buy our property through Barnard Marcus. We owe a lot to Glen's (mortgage adviser) expertise. Thanks to him we managed to get the transaction done within a much shorter time then expected. Not only he dealt with the mortgage but he also followed up the case, liaised with the vendor, solicitors and the local government. Also even after the buy he's been helping us with our inquiries. I have to highlight that there were a lot of difficulties along the way, but as previously mentioned he helped us out. We can definitely recommend his services. Glen is a top professional.

Barnard Marcus - Sydenham

If you are considering to apply for a job at this branch I would suggest you didn't bother. I applied for role within the branch and took time off work to attend the interview following a phone Interview I had the week before. The interview went well and the staff were friendly, I was told at the end of the interview I would hear if I did or did not have the job by the end of the week. After two weeks I contacted and was given the excuse that the managers needed to have a meeting to discuss this and I would hear in a week. A week later I still had to answer so I contacted again and I was told the manager was on holiday and I will hear back in another week. Overall it has been around 5 weeks of excuses and they still did not contact me to say if I did or did not have the job as promised in the interview. It is very unprofessional and they completely wasted my time by giving me excuses each week. I would never recommend for anyone to apply for a job here they just mess you around waste you time.

Should be renamed Shitways! Absolutely appalling service! No communication between staff or clients! Don't expect callbacks because they are completely disinterested in their jobs! Avoid!

Shipways - Rugby

Terrible Agency. Better be careful!!! I gave a key to my flat back a week before my agreement finished. I didn't get any confirmation or prove of that. For my deposit to be paid back I had to wait 6 WEEKS!!!!!!! And to get it back I had to sort EVERYTHING myself. I was ringing there everyday to get mixed information. Was told several times they would ring me back which never happened or that my case is being taken care of by someone else somewhere else due to somebodys holiday. Eventually they told me I had to contact landlord and ask him to contact them saying my deposit could be released. That I had to contact Council, British Gas and Severn Water and send to Shipways prove all my bills were paid. I done their job basically. Strange considering how expensive all fees were when I sign this unfortunate agreement with them. I would not recommend this 'Agency' never to anyone!!!!! In addition I also missed one house to rent because of their incompetent staff giving me mixed information.
