We initially met and signed an agreement with two gentlemen, who were very convincing. We never met them again, and only found out months later that they both left the branch. Our sales instead was run by a member of the team, and we weren’t convinced with their performance or experience. None of our c40 interests and viewings turned into an offer. We felt like they were just opening our door for anyone to view with minimum follow up or effort.

I have just exchanged on the sale of my house. The service and advice provided by Barnard Marcus, East Sheen was excellent throughout. They arranged 14 viewings in little more than a week for the open day which resulted in 5 offers, 3 of which were above the asking price. Will Richmond managed the viewings very well and Geoff Hunt's negotiation of the sale and follow up thereafter were excellent. During the rather tedious process between the memorandum of sale and the exchange of contracts, Geoff Hunt and Barnard Marcus more generally, chased both ends of the chain and provided all the support, advice and communication that I needed. 1. The lettings team in East sheen are amazing. They listened to our needs, worked really quick and Faisal ensured we got moved in within 7 days!
Would highly recommend for any tenants looking in the area as Faisal took the time to ensure we got the right property for us and guided us through the letting process as we were new to renting and felt like he genuinely cared.
2. Rent with ease! I viewed about 17 properties before we came to Barnard Marcus. Faisal took the time to speak with me for 15 – 20 minutes before booking me in which made him stand out from the off as most agents are keen to just get us booked in before asking anything.
We viewed a property with him & he worked overtime on the Friday to ensure we got the offer accepted so we could start the process asap after being let down by a previous agent. 5* all the way, will be coming back to him and the team when looking once again..
3. 5* for customer service, which is rare and hard to find these days! I would like to specially thank Faisal in the lettings team as he ensured he was there every step of the way , even out of hours which we always appreciated as had little/ silly questions he was more than happy to answer even when office was closed! To get the business deal, they offer very good rate for the letting service. However, they charge full year 12-month letting and management fees at the beginning of the contract. And promised they would refund any fees unused if the tenant move out before 12 months. When the tenant did terminate the contract after 6 months, they tell me they have never said they would refund any fees. After big argument, they agreed to refund back in March, however, I am still waiting for my refund from 2 March until now.... Today is 20 July! Priya, refund my money please!

Last year their lettings advisor Priya Patel took over our account, and was our designated point of contact for any inquiries or help we needed. We have been extremely disappointed with the entire lettings team at Barnard Marcus. Our agent was Carlo, about whom we had read great reviews, however, we spent the entire process chasing him, chasing the whole team and asking question after question which was never answered. The morning of our move, we still hadn't been told how to pay the deposit, hadn't been sent a contract, been told when we would get our keys or if we could even move in (and we had removal vans and people moving into our previous property that day). We asked that our flat's bathroom was fixed as it has holes in it and the shower was broken, and Carlo said he would have it sorted. Upon moving in, the entire bathroom was filthy, flies in the bath and a loo seat so dirty we had to remove it, and the holes were still there. The boiler also didn't work and neither did the oven. We have a 6 month old daughter who needs to be bathed, so we asked Carlo to urgently sort this, and he did nothing. We had to call him multiple times during the day and all he did was refer us back to the landlord who is brilliant and had things sorted. We sent an email to the entire BM team detailing our disappointment and noone has even bothered to respond. It was just all so unprofessionally handled. I honestly would recommend using any estate agent other than BM - they will not help should you have problems or worries. We love the property we are in, and wish it had been listed by another company, or we never would have continued dealing with them.

In our early years we use to move frequently so got to know the local Estate Agents well with one Agent, in particular, shining brightly. Very knowledgeable team and generally very helpful. They clearly advocate lower prices for quicker sales. I've noticed they market properties in my postcode around 6% lower than other vendors. Two other neighbours of mine have decided not to work with them given this fact. This is discouraging some properties to come to the market so it isn't working in the favour of buyers since it is limiting their choice. James Anderson, Lauristons, Featherstone Leigh are all active in this area which can be better alternatives for sellers.
