Very unprofessional agency, must avoid it!
They're the classic agency that after payed the agency fee, they just disappear leaving you and your unprofessional landlord alone. They just care of landlord's opinions, making believe you that they will be the perfect third part between you and issues.

MUST AVOID! This agency is extremely rude and irresponsible. We suppose to move in 27th of September but till today, which is 30th, we still couldn’t move in.

The agency gave us the contract in the last minute. When me and my partner were about to sign the contract we found there was something ridiculous (for example we have to pay for TV licenses which we don’t even use and we need landlord’s permission to use home fragrance) and we wanted to amend it. But their agent Edina, who is even a manager, refused to do anything and accused my partner “don’t have common sense”. Only thing she did was pushing us to pay the six month rent in advance without contract, and gave us the contact.

An update: After they wasted our time, they decided to decline our offer. However, we still haven’t received our deposit.

I used two branches of Barnard Marcus, Earls Court and Southfields, to help an elderly relative, for whom I have Power of Attorney, to sell his investment flats. Both sales were achieved relatively quickly (and one property had been on the books of another agent for 5 months). The service was very professional and supportive from beginning to end.

Simon was very helpful and responded to requests on properties quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend using this company if you wish to sell as they go all out to get interested buyers to view. And follow up afterwards.

I truly cant thank Barnard Marcus enough. Jo, Tom and Ben have all been so helpful in our search for a property. We are first time buyers and have found this experience all a little overwhelming. Quite literally the worst experience I've had with an estate agent. Pressured us into making an offer, told us we'd lose a property if we didn't do it within the hour. Then pressured us again to give them a holding deposit within the hour or they’d just give it to someone else.

After that they advised we'd secured the property and we were safe to cancel our other viewings - which should’ve been the only upside - but they then still took other offers, despite having already gone to sealed bids beforehand and telling us it was now off the market - kept negotiating until they had a higher offer than ours, and didn't tell us until two days later when we’d lost the house. Ridiculous.

We also then didn’t see our holding deposit again for 8 days.

I had the pleasure of working with Serge to help my brother and I find a flat. I cannot stress enough how fantastic Serge is. He is diligent, easy to work with, will intuitively know what you are looking for, and is always there a second after you've made a request. We found our flat quickly thanks to him, and he made the process of securing it completely painless. Given that my brother and I both have busy jobs, if it wasn't for Serge, it would have made the experience a headache, as opposed to what was a breeze.

The rest of Barnard Marcus Putney I interacted with to a lesser degree, but the few experiences I had it is clear they have same work ethic as Serge. Easy to work with, diligent and hard working, and they are there immediately when you have made a request. Thanks again Serge!
