R Alexis , I totally agree with your comments, although us not so serious, I really feel for you.
Batcheller Monkhouse - Pulborough , have total disregard for their tenants, any problems, are just ignored, phone call messages not answered, emails not replied. If you do manage to speak to somebody , as I did today they are just arrogant and surly.
As previously stated , keep well away from this branch, and look elsewhere

Having just exchanged contracts for clients on a lovely, off market property in Surrey, I am pleased we were buying through Batcheller Monkhouses' Pulborough office, and in particular, Sarah Farrington. Sarah was extremely professional, approachable and transparent, and helped to maintain excellent communications throughout the whole transaction. I would have no hesitation in recommending Batcheller Monkhouse, whether selling or buying.

Renters beware. If you are considering taking on a property managed by Batchellor Monkhouse (this branch in particular), think very carefully.
We moved into a property that already had serious issues, most notably a black mould problem in the kitchen worktop. Despite repeated reports (and even the council being made aware), the managing agents have downplayed it as “discolouration” and dragged their feet on organising a replacement. Meanwhile, our 5-year-old daughter, who is in cancer remission, has developed pneumonia-type symptoms, and we believe the mould is a contributing factor.
Communication is equally poor. Time and again, we are told there will be follow-up “tomorrow” or by a specific date, and unless we chase relentlessly, we hear nothing. Weeks go by with no action. Contractors are sent to “re-diagnose” issues that were already identified, wasting everyone’s time instead of fixing the problem.
This pattern is unacceptable and shows a clear disregard for tenant welfare and basic statutory obligations.
I will continue to update here as this situation unfolds, but for now my advice is simple: avoid renting through this branch unless you are prepared to battle for even the most basic standards of property management.
*Update (two weeks later):*
To our surprise, the day after posting this review, our agent contacted us to say that the kitchen worktop would finally be replaced, which we were genuinely pleased to hear. We were told it had been ordered and would be fitted the following week.
Unfortunately, we are still waiting. The communication remains terrible. Unless we call to chase, we get no updates at all. It’s incredibly difficult to plan around, especially with work and young children.
I must also add that Alex Wilks, the director, has been completely unresponsive for months. Despite multiple attempts to contact him across various channels, there has been radio silence. It feels as though once the deal is done, client care and accountability vanish entirely.
As they say, it starts from the top. Poor leadership breeds poor management.

Having moved house numerous times we can honestly say that Sarah and her team excelled in all aspects of the selling/buying process compared to previous experiences. Sarah viewed our house one lunchtime, knew someone who may have been interested, had them come along two hours later and an offer was made and accepted that day all without even advertising it! Summing up Sarah and her team is a down to earth, proactive way of working where the customer, whether buying or selling, are their main priority, something we haven’t always experienced in the past from others.
