I cannot fault the service I received from C & W regarding the purchase of my new home in Storrington (in February 2024).

Very stressful at times. Not clear what was going on. Seemed very long winded. On second viewing the young man was new and didn’t know that I was in the midst of purchasing the property. I found it strange not to be able to speak to the people I was buying from. I expect there is a reason for this, but not from my past experience.

Moved in and had a few snags on the electrics not working. Nothing has been done since February.
Not even had a working oven for the last 6 weeks.
Cigarette butts found in dishwasher after an apparent professional clean which I'm yet to see the invoices for.
Not one call has been made to update me, no letter, nothing.
Very poor attitude once you've moved in from a tenants point. I have kids, I'm a single dad and these monsters left us without the ability to cook for 6 weeks. They didn't care they didn't help they just left me and my kids to it. Shocking experience.
If you want dirty cupboards, disgusting dishwashers and zero service and the them to try and up the rent every year as standard (say no to that and they go away) then Cubit and West are your people.
Landlords avoid them. Disgusting service, dirty properties and stealing your deposit is standard.
They also try and up your rent as part of their renewal process, every year without fail. But, and here's the win. If you say no, they don't chase you, they just leave it because they don't ask the landlords, they just do it as a process which is disgusting to say the least.
Try that when they try to hike it next time and save yourself the money.

We are due to complete on our first home next week (very exciting!!) and all in all it has been a very smooth process. This is thanks to the fantastic service we have received from the teams at both the Arundel and Pulborough branches. Kevin, Jessie, Nick, Derek and Rosie were all fantastic! Special thanks to these 3 in particular:
Kevin- who took us on countless viewings until we found our perfect home, including showing us listings that hadn't made it to the site yet! Also very helpful with explaining the process to us as we were a bit clueless as first time buyers.
Jessie- who went above and beyond with our mortgage application, there was an error on the system which meant she couldn't submit it and stayed working till 10pm to make sure we got our rates locked in. Also was (and still is) always willing and happy to answer any questions we had. Jessie is definitely someone who is passionate about her job and it really shows.
Nick- For going the extra mile to progress the sale and keep us informed every step of the way.
We used the mortgage advisor and conveyancer services Cubitt and West offer and I wouldn't hesitate to use these again, would highly recommend!

This meant that we didn't have to accommodate a lot of viewings and keep the house tidy for weeks, we only had a couple of viewings and an acceptable offer was already on the table without any additional marketing. Having lost 2 sales with a different company in the height of the first pandemic when house prices were going through the roof!!
We changed estate agents to Cubit & West Pulborough.
Best decision we ever made. Property sold within days & was done and dusted before the stamp duty relief expired.
Would thoroughly recommend Martin ‘The Boss’ & Kirsty who does the follow up plus all the staff at Qubit & West in Pulborough. Super team, very professional. They do know what they are talking about.
Also must add. If you ring the Pulborough office & they are busy…you will get put through to head office!
Not ‘lines are busy’ or ‘due to covid etc etc’
You get to speak to a real person who clicks a few buttons & knows who you are & really does pass your message on! 10 out of 10 for Martin & Co & Head office….True team work at its best.

Thanks to Martin, Tara, Kirsty and Melissa at Pulborough Cubitt for a great service selling our flat. We lost a few buyers (through no fault of cubitt) but they really persevered for us and did a great job of marketing our property.
