While I didn't employ belvoir myself, I went through them as an estate agent when buying my first house. My solicitors were uncommunicative throughout but Belvoir Basingstoke helped a load to get them moving, I think it could have taken much longer without their efforts. Anne-Marie was friendly, professional and really on it. I have no plans to buy or sell a house for a while yet, but if I did I'd go for Belvoir!

From when I first made contact to enquire about areas to live within basingstoke they were very supportive or suitable places to raise a child.
From day one of viewing the property the agent explained the area and benefits as well as showing the property. Nothing was too much hassle.
Jo Jones has managed the property while I lived there and she has always been very approachable with every visit. She was understanding if I was working and my son was home alone during holidays and would rearrange visits for when he wasn't there.
Jo has always been helpful and supportive during my tenancy.
For the end of tenancy Jo supported the process well ensuring I was able to retain my full deposit and kept me updated well throughout.

I had 3 issues that came up at the same time, the oven stopped working, a window latch broke and I had a leak in the bathroom. The workers arrived the very next day and he reset the oven, fixed the leak and replaced the window catch. As usual Belvoir maintenance Dept. were extremely helpful, professional and very efficient.
I have got to know the Letting Team very well over the years and I cannot praise them enough. I have had ongoing health issues and they, in their usual professional manner have bent over backwards to accommodate various requests made by me.
I would describe the team as very professional, empathetic, courteous, efficient, cheerful and always kind.

Me and my fiancée were actively looking for a first time house, we came across the one being sold by Belvoir in Basingstoke. Upon contact with them about the house they gladly met us at the property and gave us a tour and an explanation of the area, this was i believe done by Emily or Eleyne (sorry for the mix up they were both involved). We loved the property and were ready to make an offer within a few hours i received a call back about the offer and again all was accepted all within the space of half a day. Fast forward to March and everything moved forwards smoothly they really helped the whole process always checking to see if everything was ok, and they were extremely polite and friendly the whole time also. We had 3 valuations from Belvoir and two other local firms, the other two firms were both hard sales people with much higher fees and considerably lower valuations. We went with Belvoir as we really liked Peter’s presentation and he made us feel at ease, we are SO glad we did!!
Not only did we achieve his expected sale price but we were kept up to date throughout the process and he was even able to keep us calm when things got a little worrying.

my wife and I came across Belvoir by chance when stumbling across a house they were marketing, at this point our our house wasnt even on the market. After viewing the house and speaking to Peter, I asked if he would also market our property, in less than 2 weeks of our first discussion our house was valued, marketed and sold at the price we set out to achieve. Peter worked hard on our behalf to negotiate our purchase, communicate with our buyer and vendor and offer advice at every point of the conveyancing process. Starting with the thorough, professional and accurate house evaluation done by Alastair. Followed by the house viewings expertly arranged and delivered by Katy, Megan and Alastair. And ending with the amazing support from their move manager, Natalie, who updated us regularly with the progress of the sale, pushed for a timely completion speaking with the entire chain and also the solicitors.

I had an excellent experience with the Basingstoke Belvoir team throughout the purchase of a flat. Katie initially was our point of contact and we were really pleased with the weekly updates over the phone and she answered all the questions we had. Our bank initially misidentified the property during a valuation and we were not given a mortgage as a result. Thanks to I believe Ali providing us with floor plans for the property which he obtained from the vendor we were able to clear up the issue with our lender. Once solicitors were instructed by the vendor Natalie began handling our case and she has been a pleasure to deal with throughout the process, she is very easy to contact and quick to respond and gave us invaluable advice throughout which probably saved the purchase from collapsing multiple times due to mistakes made by our solicitors, she is clearly highly experienced which was reassuring during a highly stressful purchase. I’d also like to thank Peter for his help and advice throughout the process he really helped us out at multiple points. The whole team is incredibly polite and knowledgeable so regardless of who you get through to on the phone they are always prepared to help. Been with Belvoir over couple of years now. I must say the key differentiator as compared to other agencies : the prompt response to customer emails, and quicker resolution of the Maintenance issues which are reported.
Michelle from the Maintenance team has been fantastic - with quicker revert to the problem ticket , sending the best contractors to fix the issue , and also ensuring a follow up is done to check if the issue has been resolved to the customers satisfaction.

We sold our house through Belvoir last year. It was a long journey as we’d reserved a new build in Jan 2022 that wasn’t due to be ready til the end of 2022. The Belvoir team were amazing the whole way. We were really pleased with the photos and they were very professional for the open day and viewings. As advised by Belvoir we were up front with our potential buyers with the long lead time from the start but our initial buyers got cold feet and we had to market our property with very short notice. Belvoir picked this up and organised another open afternoon in less than 24 hours and within 72 hours we had new buyers locked in. When progressing with the exchange and completion Natalie went above and beyond. With various changes, required legal documents and mortgage extensions flying around it was a extremely stressful time for us. Natalie supported us and made many phone calls on our behalf to get us over the line. Without her help the purchase would have fallen through in the eleventh hour and we would have lost our new home. She is credit to the team. I would 100% recommend Belvoir.

It's normally considered that an estate agent is there to represent the interests of the vendors who have engaged the agent. However, as buyers of a property marketed by Belvoir we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of effort put in by Natalie in making sure the chain was prodded at regular intervals, even assisting with our interactions with our own solicitors (at the end of the day Natalie knows the process and we don't so it's always good to get that info to help make sure everything is being done right!). Really pleased to find them essentially acting for both parties after the sale / purchase was agreed, and if we ever decide to sell we'll be using Belvoir (and hopefully Natalie!) as our agent. Very impressed and highly recommended!

AO delivered a replacement fridge freezer for me but in error they failed to unpack & install. I only discovered this as they were leaving & they refused to check the order. I rang Belvoir very concerned as it was a Saturday morning & I now had no fridge freezer to use and was unable myself to safely remove the new one from the packaging & get it into position. Rachel T was very concerned as installation had been requested so kindly offered to come out with her husband when she finished work at lunchtime to help. They both arrived and were able to assist me in removing packaging & getting into position. She went above & beyond what was expected in her position (was hoping for merely a phone call to AO to query order). She is a credit to Belvoir.

The last 6 months have been very troubling owing to the property I'm renting being sold by a different agent but the team at Belvoir Basingstoke have really looked after me through that unsettling time - by looking after my interests when it came to viewings, right up to finding me a replacement place to live. I am so pleased that I have been able to transition to a different property being managed by this fabulous team.
They're all amazing but in particular I'd like to call out Kate Shore who has become a rock for me and truly given personal support and also Jo Jones who made the Check Out process so seamless it appeared effortless - I know this is far from the case but to return the deposit within 24 hours of my exit was unreal.

The Belvoir Basingstoke team have been genuinely superb. I switched across from another agent in December last year at the end of a long tenancy after getting tired of poor service from constantly churning, inexperienced staff.
The difference with Belvoir couldn't be more noticeable. Knowledgeable, professional and responsive - they have earned their excellent reputation. Their knowledge of the Basingstoke market (including the estate my property resides in) was really impressive. Carole in particular really knew her stuff; she was hands down the most convincing agent I interviewed. Kate in the lettings team also managed the listing process very efficiently. The advert was out quickly and we had a new tenant in at a 15% uplift in rent within a month. Michelle in the maintenance team also assisted as there were a host of repairs and replacements to get sorted for the new tenant.
In general, a really complete service for a rate that is very competitive for the area. Brilliant value. Thanks team!

I needn’t have worried. From my first meeting with Jamie, I knew I was in safe hands; no flannel, just straight forward facts.
The viewing day was managed by Sarah Jane armed with antiseptic wipes, adhering to all the then Covid restrictions.
Following a successful offer, I was allocated a Sales Manager, Natalie.

The pictures, virtual tour and floorplans were spot on. Jamie the manager clearly knows the local market very very well. He suggested a lower starting price than we'd hoped to achieve. His strategy was spot on though.
Within a few days of the advert going live we had 10 offers, all asking price and above. We were given information about all the offers and all the buyers situations. We accepted one offer £17.5k above asking - (this was higher than we'd ever hoped to achieve) and all within 10 days of Jamie first coming round.
Natalie kept us informed all the way through the sale, copying us in on every email as she encouraged the solicitors on both sides to get things moving along a bit faster.

I've dealt with a lot of estate agents over the years with mixed experience. We chose Belvoir Basingstoke because we liked their approach. Firstly they LISTENED to what we said rather than ram scare tactic sales techniques down our throats, something I cannot say about another agent we asked to value. Second their staff were always courteous and treated us with respect. You'd think that would go without saying, but not always the case! Third they gave honest advice about a realistic market price. Belvoir took excellent property photos and did not charge an extra fee, unlike competitors. They marketed well on the internet portals - again for no extra fee. Jon dealt with everything from valuation to offer acceptance and it then passed to Jamie. Throughout we were given weekly updates even if there was nothing much to report. I really recommend this agency for their professional 'modern' approach. Even though we could not instruct for several weeks after valuation, Jon did not use scare tactics to try to force our hand to sign up but understood our circumstances and he did keep us updated with useful email updates on market trends until we were in a position to formally sign up and market. Additionally, Natalie also kept us updated with the whole chain, and when some of the chains solicitors were having communication problems, she stepped in to keep the whole process moving. Had it not been for Natalie I think that we would not have completed before Christmas, or may have even lost the whole sale. Due to delays my wife and I had decided to break the chain for our onward purchaser ourselves, but Natalie still spoke with our purchase chain to give us updates on their progress. Being honest we had more updates from our Agent than the sellers Agent.
Once we got to completion Natalie gave us all of the information we needed to make this as seamless as possible, and even provided suggestions on who to contact post sale to ensure all relevant parties were updated. Again very helpful as there were several we had not considered ourselves.

I have been incredibly impressed with Belvoir Basingstoke. Everyone I've seen has been brilliant, starting with Tracey who showed me my flat first. She was welcoming, informative and friendly. Upon application for the flat, I spoke to Abi who helpfully guided me through the process. I easily arranged a second viewing and met Kate, another brilliant asset to the team.
Checking in was with Shahida who showed me everything I needed to know. My question around parking she wasn't sure of, so that same day I received an email with a complete answer, even including a diagram!
I reported a handful of maintenance issues in my first week (I admit, most were user error!) and Andrew in this team gave me quick, useful responses, managing the solve the majority straight away. The one that required a plumber he tagged onto the existing job happening that week, may sound obvious but the amount of places I've dealt with that wouldn't use this common sense! The reporting website is very simple to use.

I was a tenant in a Belvoir (Basingstoke) property for three years.
Throughout that time Belvoir have been professional, reasonable and courteous. The team are easy to get hold off, and have been excellent in keeping me up to date with any relevant issues affecting the property.
There were a couple of times when the property had plumbing issues, and Belvoir were very quick to provide assistance. All necessary work was completed promptly, by capable contractors.
Furthermore, on leaving the property Shahida (Belvoir property assessor) completed the checkout report, notified the landlord, and released my deposit within 24 hours.
I would definitely recommend them if you were looking to rent a property in the Basingstoke area.

I have had some horrendous dealings with estate agents from dealing with new agents in trying to find a new home from my current one (where I am leaving) who do not care about me at all now that I am leaving, and don't respect my privacy one bit. I cannot fault the lettings or maintenance departments at Belvoir. The lettings department put 100% into their efforts and quickly found me replacement tenants when my first ones moved out after only one year. The maintenance department are prompt and efficient and take much of the stress out of fixing issues with their friendly and caring attitude. I certainly wouldn't think of using any other agents as my experience with Belvoir has always been positive.

I bought my first property with Belvoir and although it took 6 months to actually move in.. I think the delay was partly because of my rubbish solicitor.. but I must say Natalie was fantastic !!! Belvoir have been absolutely fantastic in supporting the sale of our home in Basingstoke. We initially purchased the house eight years earlier through Belvoir (Redwoods back then) and we had the same manager look after us which was awesome! Matt is a real asset to Belvoir and we cannot rate him highly enough. He is always on time and doesn’t push the sales pitch. He just provides good, honest advice! We had 3 other estate agents out prior to Belvoir all on the same day and Matt was by far the most reassuring and competitively priced. After agreeing the rates etc Matt was able to take the photos there and then!
The house was online by the next working day (morning) and we had multiple viewings and sold in juts over a week.
Matt, Emily and Natalie were fantastic and communicated with all parties in a timely manner, always taking the time to call regarding updates followed by a text or email to confirm viewings etc. This was absolutely brilliant as we could easily identify when to be out of the house.
Absolutely amazing job and we would really recommend them all!

From Day 1 of our tenancy we were always treated with fairness and respect.
Throughout the tenancy any problem has been rectified as quickly as has been possible through their excellent Maitenance logging service.
Minor problems have been handled promptly and major issues have been raised and dealt with as quick as they can via agent communicating with the landlord.
I couldn't recommend them enough as a tenant, and as a landlord you can be safe in the knowledge that your property will be in safe hands and your tenants well looked after.

Matt (the branch manager) has been incredibly helpful and professional during the process of buying our first house, and in our opinion has done a lot more than we really needed to in order to try and help us get things done in time.
He has called 3rd parties to get quotes/times for works we were considering having done (which we were already doing ourselves), and he has been incredibly on the ball in terms of making sure nothing is forgotten and everything was on track.

We chose Belvoir as they were recommended to us by a family friend. From the moment we met Jamie, it was a very friendly, but professional welcome. Having met with two other Estate agents, decided that we preferred Jamie and Belvoir to sell our house.
Having discussed our hopeful sale price, we were advised by Jamie, that it was probably priced a bit high, let us try and get the best deal.
But alas having reduced the original asking price, Jamie was actually correct in his estimations.
All the staff are friendly, helpful and to name only a few, would like to personally thank Aaron, Keith, Taylor one of the receptionists and of course Jamie, who I telephoned for advise, with anything regarding the sale. Nothing was too much trouble.
Also Keith who showed buyers around our home, locking up afterwards, with a professional approach to detail.
Particularly the move manager Aaron, as well, for the speed he had working with the solicitors.
I have already recommended Belvoir and wish them all well, but most of all, thank them for putting up with difficult buyers! How they do that is beyond me!

Overall our experience was good. Contact by phone is generally good, usually being able to get hold of your case manager by phone on most occasions. Any messages left usually triggering a call back.
E mail contact is also good which is big advantage if you are full time worker. E mailing queries etc is so much easier than waiting on a phone call.

Only that I have left UK, my over 5 year relationship with Belvoir had to come to a soft closure. Belvoir Basingstoke is an absolute joy to work with and I have had an excellent experience for over 5 years. The staff is very helpful, professional yet friendly and are always there to assist.
Whilst I do not know the entire team at Basingstoke, working with Jo Jones from the inventory section, Kate Shore and Laura Jones from the Admin section and Helen from the Maintenance department has been an absolute joyful experience. At no point has this team let me down when it comes to any issues / questions etc.

We have recently sold our house with another agent but Belvoir sold at the top of the chain, which was of 5 properties.
We were property number 3 in the chain so this is quite an unsettling position to be in due to what can or cannot happen at either end during the process.
Matt, the Manager, from Belvoir took on the role of keeping all communications along the chain going, he had permission to add all the agents, solicitors, buyers and vendors into this weekly feed.
We found this extremely useful as during this process you would have no clue as to what progress is taking place with anyone else or if it is you and your solicitor that may be holding things up.
As it got closer to exchange Matt ramped up the communication and expedited the last bit of the process.
We would like to thank Matt for doing this and to easing the stress of selling and buying a house, we feel that he went above and beyond his duties.

I am very Happy with Belvoir. Although I had to vacate the home early but wasn't Belvoir's fault and purely Landlord. Belvoirs Tenancy Fee is marginal and other thing that worries any tenant is the inventory which is well kept by Belvoir and most of the details are well captured. Another plus point is the maintenance which is very prompt and easy to raise through their portal. I have recently moved in to another property managed by Belvoir and hopeful to have a good association with them. I would recommend Belvoir to my Friends as well.

Belvior were the first agent to respond promptly to my enquiry to sell my home. They gave me a honest valuation which reflected current market mood. They are friendly, have excellent local knowledge and good customer service. They managed to sell my house within 2-3 weeks of it being in the market. Communication throughout the process was good. Perhaps what would could be improved is having an online portal to track sale progress. Great service overall ????

Belvoir's Matthew Smith ( Branch Manager) has been the agent dealing with my house sale. At all times I have found him efficient, polite, extremely helpful, informative and very professional with a good sense of humour too and not in the least bit officious!
His valuation was 'spot on' and I attained a figure very close to the full asking price. At no point did I feel obliged or pressured into appointing him/them. No 'hard sell' tactics and nor was I rushed into making any decisions.
I received regular, much valued, weekly updates and Matt has made the whole selling process, which I was new to, smooth, easy and uncomplicated (though I'm sure he worked his 'socks off' behind the scene!) He even offerred/gave help and sound advice when I subsequently searched for and bought a new house (through a differing agent).
Overall: I cannot rate 'Belvoir' more highly and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Extremely pleased from the start to the finish when purchasing my flat. Very helpful staff member - Chris Livemore -who sorted my issues and chased down concerns with the vendors and the the management company for me. Called most weeks to discuss progress and to make sure that what needed doing was getting done. A perfect guide through the whole process.

We let two properties through Belvoir in Basingstoke using their fully managed service and we have worked with them for several years. Our experience is very positive - both on the easy stuff like good communication and reporting as well as the more difficult issues that can arise around working with tenants.
We recently had an experience where the property was not being cared for. Belvoir managed this very professionally initially identifying and properly documenting that there was a problem (through their regular property visits) and then reaching a suitable resolution quickly and smoothly providing a result that was best for the tenant and for ourselves.
Good balance between respecting tenants and protecting Landlords.

"We have rented a property through Belvoir for the last four years and from our initial contact when we first viewed the property, right through to us leaving the property, we have always found them to be very professional. Belvoir have maintained the property on behalf of the Landlord and whenever we have had to contact them regarding a maintenance issue, they have always responded quickly to get the issue resolved and always made sure any workmen called at a time that was convenient to us. Whenever we have spoken or met with anyone from Belvoir as well as being professional, they have always been very friendly and I cannot thank the team enough for all their hard work during the last four years. Our only regret is that we could not stay with Belvoir as we move on to our next property. Estate Agents can sometimes have a bad reputation, but in my experience Belvoir are one of the trustworthy ones! A massive thank you to everyone at Belvoir.

I recently sold my flat through Belvoir (after buying through them originally) and couldn't have asked for a better service from start to finish. Jamie was helpful and extremely knowledgable when valuing the property, placing it on the market and coordinating viewings.
Once an offer was accepted, Chris kept me well informed and seemed the main reason behind the process moving forward smoothly and at a good pace. That good service continued right until completion and I would recommend Belvoir to anyone considering selling their home.

Upon moving to Basingstoke, I rented a property through Belvoir Lettings. From start to finish, the staff I have dealt with have been exceptional. The process itself was simple enough, clear, efficient and hassle free. Once in the property, on the very small number of occasions I've had to report a matter it's been handled extremely quickly. Staff are friendly and professional and always happy to help. I must make a particular mention of Carole who dealt with the initial letting and Jo, who has been an absolute star throughout. Thank you all. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Belvoir - they'd certainly be the first place I go to should I be back in the market.

I used Belvoir for letting my property in Basingstoke. Mike and his team are very thorough and professional in whatever they do. It has been a very smooth process for me as I already have a tenant in my property within few weeks of application. Having said that they are very strict in security vetting. I have opted for Full Management option and my experience so far with Belvoir has been excellent. The fee and charges are very reasonable too.
Very well recommended if you are looking for agents to let your property.

I let my property in Basingstoke for several years with Belvoir. Earlier this year, I then decided to sell, and Belvoir was my first choice to carry out the sale.
I live in East London and it was very reassuring to have Mike and Laura taking such good care of the property whilst it was let. They dealt with all the small problems that arose with care and efficiency and communicated with me clearly at all times.
When I decided to sell, it was then an easy decision to ask Belvoir to take care of this for me. Matthew and his team were excellent at every turn. They explained everything clearly to me, obtained a good, fair price and executed the sale brilliantly. I always knew what was expected of me, and they answered all my questions swiftly.
I have no hesitation in recommending Belvoir. They weren't the first agency I tried in Basingstoke, but they were the last and the best.

Having lived in 3 properties rented via Belvoir, it is worth giving credit where it is due. Renting with them has always been a seamless, easy and straightfoward process...from the lovely staff in the office to the ever helpful maintenace team.
Just last week, we had a plumbing emergency and the rapid response was 1st class as they drove out within half an hour of calling and ensured a plumber attended us within half an hour too, to contain the emergency. The plumber was over again the next morning with the necessary parts to fix the issue.

In conclusion an easy and pleasant experience made simple by a well organised team making what is usually a stressful time a lot less stressful
I am moving from over 100 miles away so time for viewings and other tasks is always difficult, from first contact with Laura to Carole whom kept me informed all the way through the initial process.
Mike took us through the viewing which was at a convenient time for my partner and I and covered all our questions.
Kate dealt professionally with all the physical documentation checks and negotiations with the landlord.
Abi and Sarah were excellent when we picked up our keys and Shahida initially inspected the property which was spotless allowing us to begin the arduous task of moving without further tasks.
In short, all the staff are brilliant and it was a pleasure to be looked after by Belvoir.

I have used Belvoir for tenant find (live locally so manage myself) on two occasions. They are really really excellent. They provide a good old fashioned personal service with all the benefits of the digital age. They are honest, charges are reasonable and completely transparent. I will always use them for the two properties that I let out. I am particularly impressed by their diligence and attention to detail in the whole tenant vetting process.

Myself and my partner have been with Belvoir since November 2016.
We had a lovely lady who showed us around our property. She was very polite, friendly and not pressuring at all. We had good conversation with her and she let us just have a look around and converse with each other without interruption. We loved the flat and decided that we wanted it. She was very quick to get everything sorted and answering any questions we had.
Now as tenants we have had no problems what so ever with Belvoir. Everytime something has needed looking at in the flat or changing the VERY lovely maintenance team are always quick to get someone out to look at it, also to fit around our schedule.
I would highly recommend this estate agents!

I was with Belvoir for 5 years and it was an absolute pleasure! I went through some tough times with the landlord through out whenever work needed doing however a call to the ladies was all it took and I was confident that they would do everything they could to help me. I must admit I was glad when they changed to the rolling contract as I never saw much point to the 6 month one, apart from the pain of the money I spent each time! Carole especially has been amazing and a great support and very understanding when I have got frustrated!
I can honestly say that I will miss speaking to them and wish everyone all the best for the future
