The open day was an immense success, with 11 interested parties and 3 offers, 2 of which at the asking price. The house was marketed and sold within a week.
29th Apr 2026 (14 weeks ago)We have been using Northwood to rent our property since 2013. We lived abroad from 2013-2015. They communicated any maintenance issues, working closely with the tenant and contractors and resolved issues in a timely manor, while keeping us updated. They have sourced many suitable tenants over the 13 years we have been with them. We deal mainly with Carly and Beth. They are always professional, courteous and extremely helpful. We cannot recommend Northwood highly enough.

16th Jul 2026 (18 days ago)I highly recommend Property explorer if you are thinking of selling your house<br>From the first meeting we felt like they understood we were selling our family home and the emotional attachment that goes alongside the decision.<br>They answered all our questions thoroughly and were always on the end of the phone to keep us involved in the whole process.<br>I would certainly use them again.

10th Aug 2021 (4 years ago)After having very difficult & rule breaking tenants for 9 months we were not surprised when they 'jumped ship, without paying rent until the end of the tenancy. We were not allowed into the flat until the end of the tenancy when the check out Inventory was done. Then, surprise surprise the robbing tenants asked for their deposit back! Emily of Sansome & George was very helpful in advising me of the correct process to follow & helped me to secure payment of the deposit which went part way to reimbursing us for the funds lost. Thanks Emily for the excellent support & advice.

19th Jul 2026 (15 days ago)Review to prospective sellers in Basingstoke, UK.<br><br>Contacted multiple agencies. Not one of them impressed me, nor showed any genuine competancy to sell.<br><br>For the sake of giving prospective sellers an idea for each of them, i've summarised my experience below:<br><br>B4rons: low energy, low-pressure sales (i don't know when this is ever a good thing). Agent takes photos themselves + their photos on Rightmove did not impress me.<br><br>Ew4m0ve: the director was rude + thought he was doing me a favour, so i moved on. Was afraid to call me back and have a conversation + stuck to emails alone. I can't build a rappport like that, sorry. Magically believed he could sell well above market demand price despite my neighbour selling 30k below that.<br><br>C0nn4lls: lacked knowledge + experience, and valued property well below market price. I suspect he wasn't capable of selling at market price (which explains lack of exp). Zero sensible rebuttals and waffled.<br><br>G&P: were more interested in measuring my property than having a genuine convo. I let him measure (even though it was extremely weird to turn up to a seller's home, build zero rapport and pull out the laser measure). Offended my wife by his mannerisms/behaviour, so he had to go. Out of date and bored me to death - sent packing.<br><br>M&Co: unimpressive w/ zero sale skills. Was more interested in hearing his own voice than allowing me to speak.<br><br>Now onto Chancellors:<br><br>Ged, the branch Sales Manager, was a joy to work with. He was always early/on-time, unlike the other agencies. He asked all the right questions, and presented sensible responses. My only area of improvement would be to allow clients to speak, because sometimes it was difficult to get him to stop + listen BUT I loved his energy, his passion to sell (at a reasonable price) + the accessibility to him.<br><br>Absolute credit to Chancellors. He remained accessible, even on weekends. Never once turned me away and was genuinely happy to help im responding to our queries.<br><br>The 4* rating is NOT because of Ged. He is being let down by the other agents there. If they stay, it'll be a sinking ship.<br><br>Ana: if it wasn't for the 1-2 calls/emails at the start + for collecting my keys, i'd have no idea who she was. Added little value.<br><br>Aimee: was marketed as loving rooksdown but none of that was demonstrated to me. Again, if i hadn't received a call (at the end of the process), i also wouldn't have ever known who she was. Struggled to understand where she added value in being 'client facing' as no real client engagement w/ me.<br><br>Tanja: major liability. Was marketed as being a law graduate but was not a pleasure to work with. Added little to no value in 'progressing the sale' (which is her job). She failed to comms with my lawyer + kept contacting me w/o the presence of my lawyer. Had to tell her multiple times to keep my lawyer apprised. Failed to manage buyer-seller relationship as i was being fed absolute garbage; before any of those silly asks were even being presented to me, she should have communicated with the buyers and informed them that certain buyer asks were absolutely silly. I called her numerous times during the process, 95% of the time she was unobtainable and didnt respond despite leaving VMs + emails. She favoured the buy side as she told me they would return to her with a suitable completion date, when this really would be a discussion for mutual agreement between both parties. If i ever needed an agencies service again, ill be asking to check she doesnt work there. Was an utterly unpleasant experience and we struggled to understand her role, usefulness and value to the conveyancing process (which was largely led by my lawyer, and in liaison directly with the sell-side legal team). In the end, i was fed up of her 'representing my interests' and informed her (via legal) that i would be pulling out of the sale completely. She did not sanitise any asks from buyer side + simply copy-pasted any/all 'requests' by the buyer into an email to me. That's hardly doing a job a sales progressor should do. She was as useful as a chocolate teapot.
