Since the beginning my association with Buckinghams in June 2024, I have found my experience with the team over the past few months to be exceptional. The entire team, encompassing lettings, sales, and admin is genuinely dedicated to delivering the highest standard of service, offering a bespoke approach to every client, irrespective of the property's value.
As a landlord using their fully managed service, I have found their teams response to issues to be prompt, timely and the costs are clearly monitored to ensure they remain reasonable. One of the most advantageous aspects is that a member of the Buckinghams' team conducts the property inspections personally, rather than delegating this task to external parties. This approach allows each team member to become intimately familiar with the property and to establish a rapport with the tenants.
Whenever I have had any questions or queries, they have been addressed promptly and thoroughly. There is a remarkable willingness to assist, and one might expect that a firm with over twenty years of experience would become complacent; however, this is far from the reality with the Buckinghams team. I would like to express my gratitude to James, Geoff, Mandy, Amanda, and Mel for their unwavering commitment to ensuring that each client feels appreciated and highly valued.

What a refreshing change - an honest and reliable estate agent. Alex and Elliott were professional, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Melanie and Geoff have been of great assistance and provided us with their warmest of support through the process and after. Their warm and interpersonal nature of dealing made us feel at ease through the various delays during the covid in the background.

Geoff is hands down the best real estate professional I've ever had the pleasure of working with - tactful, patient and extremely knowlegeable. Buying a house for the first time in the UK when you are a foreigner and the seller is located few times zones away can be a real challenge... But with Buckinghams from Virginia Water this was possible in, as we are told, record time. They looked after us as a team, replacing each other when someone was not immediately available. Geoff Burgoyne did most of the handholding. But not only, he helped us to find an excellent solicitor, someone to survey the property, he chased the seller relentlessly for those little outstanding items that can really destroy the deal and also worked with local management companies to win time.

Our experience with Buckinghams would be hard to better. Communication, professionalism and honesty evident throughout our dealings with Alex Juddery and an imaginative approach ensured that both his client and us (the buyers) ended up with a deal where we all ended up with a great outcome. The eventual deal was complicated and the transaction spread over several months but the fluid communication between all the parties meant that everything stayed on track. Honestly cannot thank them enough for their, and their client’s, patience and understanding.

Well things haven’t seem to have changed at Buckinghams... as always, obtuse and abrasive to deal with. I popped in today for an update and to see whether there was any chance of getting my deposit back....Still no luck. The staff involved with the initial problem have all since left but seems to have been replaced with someone just as one dimensional as before. Making claims of which he knows nothing of...I would be very wary when entering a letting agreement with Buckinghams they are not good sports.
Brexit is here and it is important to pick the right agent or agents for the job. I do not believe that Buckinghams have the ability to perform during these times. It is key to have a good reputation and people skills especially when dealing with such a high end market and clientele.
I can see they have several positive reviews but most of them seem to be quite forced, perhaps requested by the agent after my intial posting years ago....
In short there are many estate agents in Virginia water, ascot, Sunningdale. I myself could do a better job of finding or selling a suitable property without having to lock-in to one of these complicated agency contracts.
I personally would avoid buckinghams like a house on fire. but hey the choice is yours the review is here. If you get caught out and lose a desposit or worse... don’t say I didn’t warn you!
They wouldn’t even settle this morning for £50 of the £400 owed, just to call it quits and move on.. please refer to my other reviews for the original story. They claim they offered me 50% I went in to collect and “apologise” however I was insulted and berated by their head of lettings.

AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS ESTATE AGENT Here is my story, well a brief version since google wont let me post the essay i have just written! A week or so ago I had put an offer forward on a lovely three-bed townhouse, we were to move in and had agreed to pay a large sum of money upfront to show our credibility and avoid the referencing hassles. We had set a move in date that was crucial for us and stated that if we couldn’t get in by Saturday that the deal would be a non-starter. On the friday we transferred funds over under the assumption that we would be able to move in the following day. We had sent 625 pounds holding deposit to their account a further 6000 pounds with proof of a further 10000 pounds being sent over from abroad that would be credited to their account first thing on Monday. Along with more than enough info for their referees. After this, we were then told that this would not be good enough and a further sum to cover six months rent would be required ‘’ I called the director of the company where I was then called a liar had my character deformed and was told that perhaps ‘’I was overreaching myself by renting this property’’. We had made every effort to show our credibility. As Friday came to a close, they said they were now unsure that we would be able to move in because they could not guarantee the landlord of our credibility. Fortunately, they had sent me the tenancy agreement with the landlord's details on so I decided to call the Landlord up myself and see what I could do. She was a very sweet lady and was very sympathetic. I quote ‘’Many thanks for your text… I appreciate your frustration. I will speak to Buckinghams tomorrow morning and see if we can move forward with this. With Kind Regards C****** To our surprise the next morning, no effort was made by buckinghams to put us into the house at all and we were told we would have to wait till Monday (which they knew was impossible for us due to work commitments) till more money was transferred if we wanted to move! I politely asked to withdraw first thing on Saturday morning because I felt that the trust had been broken and clearly the estate agent was playing games, saying one thing to me and another to the landlord. Not representing either of us accurately at all. I had been called a liar, saying I had been putting words into her mouth and making things up, and that no reference would have ever been able to go through in a days time and that the move in day was unrealistic anyway. So why did she insist that I transfer the funds on friday!!!!!!! She then proceeded by saying that if we were to withdraw; we would lose our entire holding deposit because according to their tenancy agreement, (which was an unread attachment at the bottom of one of their emails) that they had the right to keep all the money. But they had said the day before that if things wouldn’t go through that it would be unfair to keep the deposit and that it would be refunded to us. At this point, I became quite frustrated, to say the least, and scared not only for my holding deposit but for the rest of the sums I had transferred too. After much arguing with them, they agreed to refund me a sum of 325 pounds, not a fair sum we thought at all. This was only under the condition that I would sign a non-disclosure agreement stating that I would not discuss or share with anyone our bad experience there. (does this constitute as blackmail?) in return I suggested they return the sum of 500 pounds to us and keep 125 for the referees; this I thought was more than reasonable for whatever work they had put in on friday...This was laughed at so I have decided to decline the offer of 325 pounds and write this review instead. So just like that and in less than 12 hours we lost 625 pounds (holding deposit) and had to wait the good part of a week for the thousands to be transferred back to us. I feel let down and cheated, I dread to think what would have happened to our entire deposit had we moved into the flat! So buyers and renters beware these people are not to be trusted!
