I have rented a studio through Canary Properties for a year and it was a really good experience. They are highly responsive and quick to address issues. Larry -one of the agents- was extremely helpful throughout the tenancy period. He also got everything sorted prior our moving in date and after checking out, which was great to have such assistance. I am disappointed by the fact that the landlord decided to sell the flat after 1 year of renting with no issues. I wished to stay more with Canary Properties and extend the contract for another year. Hence, if you plan to rent a property through this agency, I advise you to do so.

Recently there has been a renting crisis in London and it took me over a month to find a place. The flat where I currently live was advertised by Canary Properties. This agency is different from others in the way that it does not just aim to sell or rent a property heartlessly, they acknowledge you as a personality. I felt it when I was talking to the agent Bozi who was helping me throughout the whole process. She has been responsive and helpful and communication with her was really pleasant. Moreover, the property was the same as advertised, unlike many cases when pictures differ from reality. Anyway, if you want to find a nice place and have humane communication with agents (as now most of those representing the market are soulless) and who will not only care about the commission but will provide you with professional help, take Canary Properties into account

Canary have provided a very good service to us as Landlords to let our 3-bedroom property in Stanmore (NW London). They tried their best to find professional tenants, and were very quick to get the property photographed and out on the market. They are friendly, honest and professional and go the extra mile to provide a personalised service. They have a useful bank of reliable handymen too who can help with gas/electric certificates. Extremely unprofessional and irresponsible letting agents.
Since Canary Properties have been responsible for letting flats in our building, we have had relentless issues with the shared bins. Canary Properties' tenants have filled the bins with large items and left rubbish strewn around the bin store area, leaving no room for other residents to dispose of their rubbish. The area was left in such a state that the council refused to take the rubbish, meaning that we have had to travel to a recycling centre two miles away.
The bin was filled yet again by one very large item from a tenant over a week before it was next due to be collected, so once more we were unable to dispose of our rubbish. I contacted Canary Properties to ask them to resolve this issue with the tenants urgently, to which they responded that they had emailed the tenants.
After 24 hours of having to keep rubbish in our flat due to the bin being full, I called Canary Properties to see if there had been any progress. I was met with perhaps one of the most arrogant and unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Rather than agreeing to simply phone the tenants as I requested, the member of staff laughed at my request and made a number of comments such as "I don't work for you", "I don't work to your timescale", "you need to go complain to someone else, maybe the council", "we're not breaching the lease, you don't know what contract we've signed".
I came off the phone frustrated, but more so shocked that Canary Properties could not comprehend how an issue caused by one of their tenants was their responsibility to resolve. The suggestion that I go "complain to someone else" or the "council" really highlighted their inability to understand their role as letting agents in managing their tenants.
Since purchasing our property in June, we have had no issues with the other residents in our building with the bins. Everyone is considerate and understands that the bins are for all properties, and therefore large items need to be disposed of elsewhere. In stark contrast, there are now constant issues with being able to dispose of our rubbish and we have growing concerns about this area attracting vermin.
It is clear that Canary Properties have not bothered to take the time to provide their tenants with an adequate introduction to the property and the rules of the lease. Rather than their staff rectifying these issues, they have instead tried to shift the blame and absolve themselves of any responsibility.
**UPDATE**
Following Canary Properties' response, I would like to point out that the reference to speaking "with the tenants verbally" is a barefaced lie. I repeatedly asked the member of the staff if he had heard back from the tenants or if he had tried to call them, to which he responded no. He then rejected my request to call the tenants by phone by laughing and saying he does not work for me. Had the member of staff agreed to call the tenants, there would have been no reason for me to leave this negative review.
On top of this, when I called today your team did not try to "explain what is happening". Instead, your member of staff tried to make excuses for why he had not spoken verbally to the tenants and, as I previously said, made comments that he did not "work to my timescale" and that I needed to "complain to someone else".
Your response also shows that you need to reconsider your time management. I received a response at 11.34am yesterday from your maintenance manager. I then called your office at 13.42 today to flag that the issue had not been sorted - over 24 hours. As I explained to the person on the phone, this is a matter of urgency as it is impacting the hygiene of our living environment. The request for the rubbish to be removed is something that would not take long to sort, and therefore does not need days to be resolved.
I will not be reconsidering my review, but perhaps you should take this as an opportunity to review how your team prioritises complaints and also the manner in which your staff speak to members of the public.

Canary Properties were very quick to fix an issue I had at one of the houses I rent out through them. The sent in a builder who quickly gave a quote...a very reasonable quote, then once the quote was agreed the work was done quickly and to high standard. The tenants were not disturbed as the builders were in and out in a couple of days.

The renting process with Canary Properties was extremely smooth. Mo showed me round the property and explained every step of the process really well. The paperless system was also much better than my previous rentals and I was able to get through the admin very quickly.
Since moving in, whenever any issues have arisen Mo and his team have worked quickly to remedy them. I haven't had any issues and hope the rest of my tenancy is just as stress-free. I would definitely recommend Canary Properties!

I have rented a flat from Canary Properties for a few days and must say that I'm very satisfied for the following reasons:
- Very friendly and helpful staff (big +), intelligent young staff (enjoyed some conversations with them).
- Good service, the staff were helpful to make my stay as convenient as possible.
- Clean, hygienic apartments.
- Excellent location.
- High value for your money. Very reasonable fees.
When I'm back in London I'll definitely give them a call again if I need a place to stay.

Matt quickly identified the type of flat that we were looking for and also took into consideration our budgeting requirements. We felt like we had all his time and when we requested to see a property after hours, he did not hesitate to stay back and show us the flat. He showed us 4 properties in one day and we managed to find our dream place in that time. Matt has superb customer service and attention to detail, even helping us take measurements for our furniture before our move in date. He also made several follow up calls to make sure we had moved in ok and that we were happy with the place. He also offered to help us in the future if we needed anything related to the property.
