So 5 years ago I left a review, with a 5 star rating. I feel I must update and correct this going through my reviews. And remembering the previous and awful experience they left me with. I would like to say loudly! That Chancellors high wycombe leasing and renting team are disgusting and highly unprofessional, within that previous 5 years back then, they actually made me homeless, since this day now being a home owner of multiple properties, till this day I advise people, friends and family of my bad experience not to use them.

Jordan booked me in for the viewing, Jake assisted with the viewing and Miles getting the deal secured and everything put in place. Great experience I was even told by Miles which number I would get the sales progression team calling from, emails answered within seconds, make you feel a valuable customer. Nothing is hidden from you and was told the exact timeframes and may even go over but I like their honesty. They are not pushy for a sale or forcing you to buy. No matter how many questions they are happy to answer and they don't put you on hold but make sure you get a call back. This is just the sales team, the rest of the team are all very welcoming and helpful over the phone. Thank you Miles hoping the Sales progression team will be just as helpful as the high wycombe branch..

Currently in the middle of searching for our first property. My wife and I recently arranged to view a number of properties. All communication with our Estate Agent, Jordan, has been clear and informative. Our experience of the viewings themselves was also a positive one. Jordan was very friendly, able to answer all our questions, and the relaxed nature of the viewings allowed us to properly envisage what it might be like to own the properties we saw.
We also attended an open house, organised by Matthew, who was likewise friendly and able to answer our queries.
Unfortunately, we haven't yet found anything that we would like to put an offer on, but that's just a matter of our personal tastes.
I would recommend the services provided by Chancellors. In particular, Jordan's efforts were much appreciated.

I feel compelled to share my deeply unsatisfactory experience as a tenant with Chancellors Estate Agents, particularly the High Wycombe branch.
My husband and I started renting our current residence through Chancellors. From the onset, our experience has been marred by unfulfilled promises and a lack of transparency.
When entering our tenancy, we had requested specific pre-tenancy tasks, such as deep cleaning of the carpets, repainting of the walls, and the removal of rubbish behind the property. Despite assurances in phone conversations, none of these promises were honoured, with Chancellors stating that these were not in the contract.
The situation escalated when we woke up to a 'For Sale' sign in our front garden. Shockingly, we had not been given any prior notice about the landlord's intention to sell. Upon reaching out to Chancellors, we were informed that the landlord planned to sell to an investor, effectively transferring our tenancy. However, when we discovered our property listed on RightMove and Zoopla, the lack of communication from Chancellors became more apparent.
Multiple attempts to communicate our concerns and seek clarification were met with silence. We requested details about the sale process, the timeline, and the new owner's intentions regarding existing tenancies. Our pleas for a meeting with the estate agents and the landlord were ignored.
Recently, we were inundated with calls from Chancellors requesting access for viewings. This, coupled with a further reduction in the property's price, raised more questions. When we asked why the landlord had not contacted us directly, Chancellors responded with a blatant disregard for our concerns, asking if we were ready to make an offer.
Our attempts to discuss the situation and explore potential options, such as purchasing the property, were dismissed. The focus seemed solely on the sale, neglecting our rights and the uncertainty we now face.
Chancellors Estate Agents' prioritization of property sales over tenant welfare is disheartening. We feel neglected, uninformed, and unimportant in this process. As tenants, our rights should be respected, and communication should be transparent. Unfortunately, Chancellors has fallen short of these basic expectations.
Our hope is that by sharing this experience, others may approach their relationship with Chancellors with caution, and the agency may reflect on the need for improved tenant relations.

Unprofessional outfit and still awaiting outcome of our complaint over a month later.
We had agreed a Rent Refund for a specific period, amount etc. in advance of moving out. Based on all of this, we agreed to move out of the property early so they could get the new tenants in sooner, and now they are not delivering on the agreement.
They've been given countless opportunities, a more than satisfactory amount of time to process this and they still fail to deliver on the agreement and promise.
Misleading agent, that has cost us money and will ignore your emails/calls when it is time for them to actually deliver on their promise.
Will be taking further action, would definitely not recommend.

I put my property on the market with Chancellors on the 14th and by the 16th had an offer for full asking price accepted after 12 weeks with another local agent where there was very little communication and much poorer service. Miles came to see my property and talked me through how they work, they have an independent solicitors they work closely with and you can easily see all of the marketing notes and manage viewing requests through the Chancellors app which is really useful. Both Miles and Matt were extremely professional and got me the result I wanted. I would highly recommend Chancellors to anyone looking to sell their property!

Avoid this estate agency as they are not professional. I was let down by their agent regarding viewing a property. Apparently she said we held our number when we call a client (no caller ID). Hence, you wonder how to communicate with them when the office does not reply and the agent they use a private number. Therefore, figure out how to communicate with them!!!

I like the agent who has been dealing with me, Humeirah Janed she is extremely patient and explains most of the modern way of selling and buying as i am an elderly. I was frightened and was unsure of how to proceed forward but humeirah explained everything and even when i thought i was stumbling she explained rather than let me do it. When started to rent my property I had excellent service from the high wycombe branch but as soon as it was moved to thameside property management it was shocking. I have never dealt with such a bad company. No help at all for me as the landlord, although I'm paying them , getting contractors out for things that didn't need it as they never enquired properly with the tenant. Costing me money for call out charges ect on what the already knew. No communication between anyone at Chancellors getting contacted for the same things constantly. Would never recommend them or use them again HIGHLY AVOID

The most abysmal service i have ever received. The incompetence and rudeness of the staff is mind blowing. No accountability for the mistakes they made, they thought it was quite normal to distress someone during their move in date, they made it seem as if it was common procedure. Had to call the landlord who I never spoken to to get them to act right, which makes you wonder if Chancellors help or hinder lettings procedures. Also it is very strange when a young estate agent (overdressed salesperson) feels the need to insult and condescend a Secondary English teacher over their proposed intelligence. I do not wish to be condescended to in this manner simply for pointing out the estate agents errors and delays. An apology would suffice or maybe offer your customer a beverage whilst you make them wait an hour on move in day with the removals van parked outside the branch. From start to finish the process has been disastrous would avoid Chancellors at all costs in future.

Tried multiple times to book a viewing with this company, was promised a call back to confirm viewing date & time, the call back never came so contacted the office again to be told they would call me right back !
Still waiting……..now been told the property I was interested in is under offer !!! How can the seller expect to get the best price when all prospective buyers cannot view the property or even make an offer ?

Terrible experience buying a property. They gave false information, as well as the wrong information and also told plain lies! - all of which could have landed me with a serious problem with the property after the sale went through and affected the mortgage too. I had no choice but to pull out of the purchase, loosing a lot of money! I am not happy as you can imagine.
The complaints process is a joke, this is how it went... Director asks colleague "is she right"... "nope" replies colleague - investigation concluded..... (director tells client) provide evidence as I have done my investigation and you have nothing on us. (Excuse me Chancellors, this is a two way street - where is your evidence?!)
You ask me for evidence by way of emails - after already asking and having all my emails before the investigation, so you knew what I had to begin with! also you know and i told you that all your agents insisted on having everything via phone rather than email and they probably do this for this exact reason. Also when I asked who can this be forwarded too, as I was still obviously unhappy with the complaint response, I was ignored until after the deadline of their regulators. Complete crooks!
In addition, they took forever to respond to my complaints and queries when I caught them out and their Sales and Lettings team don't communicate at all and they try to spin it like they are different companies to get out of any hot water so to speak.
Lastly, the lettings Director was the most condescending man I have ever spoken to in my life and he shouldn't be allowed to talk to people let alone clients.
You have made my first purchase a truly awful experience and I may not be able to get your regulator's involved as you have cleverly put a pin in that; nonetheless, I will write a bad review on every site and sing from the rooftops about my experience with the worst estate agents.
Do not use Chancellors in High Wycombe, you will regret it.

Where do I even begin, from our first enquiry right through to getting the keys Patrycja has been consistent with her 5* service.
As Londoners moving out of the city into an unfamiliar area we had ALOT of questions and specific details that we went over and over. Patrycja answered every email and returned every phonecall all within a good time frame (usually 24-48hrs). She followed up with us when a property we liked was no longer available and if there was an answered she did not know in the moment she got the answers and came back to us in a timely manner.
Even after we had chosen our property she continued to liase with the developers on our behalf to help add the extra's we needed for our property.
At each stage Patrycja has been polite, patient and attentive. Going the extra mile everytime I made a request of her. I felt heard and very well taken care of through-out the whole viewing process which was already tense enough during a lockdown.
Honestly, cannot fault her professionalism and incredible customer service. She is a complete asset to Chacellors. She will certainly be a person I reccomend to others and even use again in the future.

Appalling service. I requested to view 1 property at 11am about 3 weeks before the requested viewing. I received a voicemail the day before said viewing to confirm 4 viewings at 1pm. Called back straight away to sort out the problem, was answered by head office who I explained the problem to and said would pass on the message for a call back. Got another voicemail from someone clueless about my reason for calling. Called back, again ended up with head office who left another message for a call back. Endless cycle of not getting through to anyone. Finally managed to speak to someone and supposedly the only person who could manage the booking was the one doing to viewing so very pointless conversation. Asked to rebook for a week later to view the one property I wanted to see, and I have had no confirmation. I called back 2 days before the viewing and they told me that there was still time for confirmation. The viewing was yesterday, I had no confirmation and no one has contacted me about it. Very appalling and I am surprised properties even sell. Complete waste of time.

If you are looking for an agency who ignore all of your requests for broken windows, toilets, curtains etc...then Chancellors is what you're looking for!
After 12 months at a property 'managed' by Chancellors, it's amazing that they are still in operation.
Lied about about the property coming with a parking spot at 98A Easton street when presenting the property, to only find out after numerous calls and emails that there was no parking allocated for the property.
Never viewing the property throughout the tenancy to check up on it's condition, refusing to fix a window that no longer had a lock to it making it accessible to anyone with a ladder, not providing my flatmate with blinds and so requiring her to use a blanket as a curtain for 12 months. All to then allow the Landlord to try and claim over 1/3 of our deposit to fix these damages that were present and requested to be fixed before we even moved in.
All four tenants working 9-5 meaning that we spent just as much time in the property as out, it's mind-boggling to understand how we could have possible caused 500£ in damages claimed for. Especially after not even being in the property from March - July (End of tenancy) due to moving home for the COVID lockdown.
I would urge anyone who values their money to use any other agency. I will never use Chancellors again.

They are the worst estate agents I have ever come across the staff make promises they will call back to arrange a simple viewing then they don’t. The manager is rude unhelpful. They are con artists they only offer to let you view a property if you go with their mortgage broker using COVID as an excuse. The staff are most unhelpful. Unfortunately I found my dream home which is being sold through them but I have decided not to go ahead with it due to their lack of customer service and ill attitude. I don’t fancy being shouted at down the phone by the manager. Stay well clear. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This estate agents are truly useless and unresponsive. Staff in the office constantly changes, staff does not reply to the emails. Their sale progression team does not even have the phone number to call them and they don't respond to emails or anything. Constant pathetic excuses. If you are selling anything smaller than 3 bed mansion, don't put it on with them. They don't care. We are in middle of the chain and chancellors are not able to even do anything as simple as get in touch with our buyers to see if the have mortgage offer is in place after months of excuses and radio silence. High Wycombe Chancellors office, I&my husband would like to hear from your branch manager On Monday 26th October to sort this out within next 7 days or we will pull out of this sale and you can forget about your commission!!!

Update 2020: This has to be the worst company for lettings that I know of. If I didn't live abroad then I would have changed company by now. They have so many people dealing with lettings at this company that instead of speaking to just ONE person you have to deal with several people in different offices. The people don't even know each other and have no idea what is happening at times. To get the right people at Management Thameside to actually answer emails or return phone calls is impossible. Chancellors has kept over £2500 over 5 months without actually telling me. I didn't check that bank account because I thought everything was normal. To not even tell us that they were holding this money is unacceptable. Apparently, they wanted ID of my husband and without it they weren't letting this money go. I cannot stand this company and if I could come back and change then I would in a heartbeat. It's just something that I can't do right now. WHY CAN'T YOU HAVE ONE PERSON DEALING WITH THE PROPERTY OR DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS IN ONE OFFICE? Unacceptable. Do not ask them to rent for you, problem after problem. Might as well do it yourself for the amount of rubbish you have to deal with and chase up.
The only good thing about this company was Joe & Nathan who introduced themselves to me via phone and talked me through the advertising of the house. The first time this has happened in the 15 years I have been with them and a real shame that good people like them are associated with incompetent colleagues. Like I said; one office with all the relevant people rather than so many different people who don't know each other and work in different places.
2019: LANDLORDS DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! If I could give 0 I would. Living abroad I have had no other choice but to continue using them. They go through their employees like sweets. Nobody seems to stay and therefore there is no continuity with conversations/emails regarding problems etc. Works do not get done and they still take your money. I AM DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY! Feel free to message me and I can tell you all the horror stories I have had to deal with these inept people. Many people think it's the landlord's fault, in actual fact it's the estate agent that takes the fee and does absolutely nothing! I have taken screen shots where you can see proof of nothing being done. Carpets, roof, blinds.....
I have written to them as suggested below. I shall keep you updated with their comments. However, it is year after year that I have to deal with these people and not, unfortunately, a one off problem.

Please don’t go with chancellors. I’ve just looked at other reviews on other sites and this and it turns out there are many many people experiencing the same issues. We are scared to contact anyone like an ombudsman in case they kick us out. We used their complaints email directors@chancellors.co and nothing changed at all.
Honestly AVOID this company because whilst they might be able to find you a flat or house, be really kind and sweet and supportive, advise they can make sure it’s accessible for your disability, but any issues at all they will NOT help with. This is due to terrible internal structure and communication and poor training. The person who manages Lettings in Wycombe (named below) is obviously inept at his job and has caused significant delay, confusion and stress in our house for over two months.
I feel like this review might get us kicked out unfairly, but they’re so rich they can do what they want. But please don’t go with them it’ll ruin your life!

Renting one of their properties for the last couple of years, absolutely unprofessional experience.
To start with, they asked me to blindly accept and sign the contract that referred to multiple Amendments/Appendices documents that describe my financial obligations for the building, land and damages. Problem was that none of these Amendments was provided because they didn't have them. Took me a while to make them send me a formal letter that states that I can not be responsible for terms and conditions that were not negotiated with me at the time of signing the rental agreement.
Then, this agency is always on the landlord side, it takes months of chasing to get things fixed when landlord decides to ignore your requests. In my case I had to take my laundry to Laundromats and waste time waiting there for two months before they finally sent someone to fix the broken machine. They simply didn't care till I threatened them with small court claims with a compensation for the inconvenience and damages.
This year they increased the rent (which is fine), but after I paid the requested amount they issued me a formal request for 1p. Yes, it's a request to immediately pay £0.01. I had an email exchange with Aaron Saunders, their property manager, that was keen to blame his colleague for the rounding error of £0.01 and explained that this mismatch now "sets up flags" in their system, hence I need to update my payments immediately. Unfortunately he wasn't as keen to provide a proper formal apology for their mistake. It's not the end of the world for me, but what a bunch of clowns they are!
Bottom line, if you have a choice look for your property somewhere else or get ready for a bumpy ride with plenty of funny and not so screw-ups. And by the way, don't sign any agreements that specify terms and conditions specified in other documents that they "can't find, but it's ok, everyone signs these papers, it's standard".
As for all the positive reviews for them here, part of them are coming from landlords that are obvious happy due to Chancellors taking their side - signing tenants under papers they don't get to see, letting landlords to get away without legally required maintenance of the property.

Painful Process..... The last month of trying to buy a flat through Chancellors has been difficult to say the least. In the last month i've contacted them numerous times to try and arrange a final viewing so I could exchange contracts, after 3 weeks of calling and getting no response i decided to walk in there during my lunch break and demanded organised a viewing for the next day. The following day I attended the viewing at the allocated time, the agent was 15 minutes late and forgot the keys to the flat, once again a waste of my time.
Last part to this service which is still currently on going. I told chancellors numerous times in the lead up to the completion date that i would need the key code for the gated car park and could they please provide this for myself, this never happened. On the day of completion i asked again when collecting the keys and was told my request would be made a priority. That was 31st January, its now 5th February and I still haven't heard a thing.
When eventually selling this flat I certainly won't be selling through Chancellors.

Appalling attitude and service received from the staff at the High Wycombe Branch during the two years of my tenancy with them - from start to finish.
They have very little knowledge of the properties they manage - they made us move into a disgustingly dirty apartment, even though it should have been professionally cleaned as per the contract, they did not ensure that this was the case.
They don't respect your requests - asked that they only contact me in writing, so I have proof of everything that was being said, this wasn’t honoured.
They lack communication skills, with each other and with their clients, and are just plain rude and unprofessional.
I was also pestered on several occasions about 'last minute viewings' in the last month of our tenancy, including the weekend we were moving out. (They are supposed to give 24 hours notice.) And when potential new tenants came to look at the property, I had to answer their questions, as the agents had absolutely no idea regarding any details of the property.
So glad to not have to deal with them anymore. Would not recommend Chancellors to anyone under any circumstances.

Long story short: I've booked two times to see a house , i arrived at the place and no agent show up and when i called back to see what happened she said i wasn't in their booking sistem . Terrible. I told the lady I was looking for a 2 bedroom flat as we are downsizing, to then have a load of emails with 3 bedroom properties outside the area. The lady also mentioned a property that I said I wouldn't be interested in. Then received an email saying I had booked a viewing? Then received a call to confirm the viewing after I had replied to the email saying I wasn't interested. Then I called to ask if I could arrange a viewing for a property listed on the website, to which the woman replied no we can't do that, and straight to okay thanks bye. So rude, I wouldn't recommend asking them for advice as you either get bombarded with properties you specifically said you wasn't interested in or a rude member of staff.

Do not waste your time. Seriously, go elsewhere, buy a cardboard box, you'll be treated better living in that than this company will.
I first contacted them regarding a room that was £350 a month, the email I received stated that and it came to the day of the viewing, a viewing I had to travel more than 200 miles for, and yet only when I arrive did they tell me that there were no £350 rooms and that they only had £400 at minimum left. I had told them at the time what my budget was and yet they still tried to show me rooms that were well over £100 that budget. As I had admittedly left it too late, I had no other choice but to sign up for it and pay for their extortionate admin fees.
Skip forward to move in day and the room wasn't fit for purpose (the fire alarm system was faulty) and only when I demanded that they pay for a hotel room whilst it was getting sorted did they suddenly get it done.
The boiler in the flat didn't work and they claimed not to know about it until I told them, the problem with that was that one of the other tenants showed me emails from one of the staff members (the same one who said he knew nothing about it). They then took a further three weeks to get someone out and only when I brought up the legal requirement to do it within four weeks or rent can legally not be paid but they miraculously get it all fixed.
If you phone to try to talk to someone the person you want to talk to is always conveniently "on the phone" and you've got through to a member of the admin team, who offer to pass on the message to call you back, but the call back never comes. I have literally phoned to complain, asked specifically at the start of the call "are you in the High Wycombe branch?", they've said yes and then I'm explained why I'm calling, only for them to suddenly change their mind and they're suddenly not in in that branch anymore but can pass on a message. This has happened at least three times and when I call them out on lying (about either being in High Wycombe or not, either way they have lied), they suddenly get very defensive.
Throughout my time in the property they have refused to sort out anti-social behaviour from other tenants in the building and they are very much a hands-off landlord. Once you're in and they have your money for a guaranteed year, they honestly couldn't give the slightly care about you in the world.
Go somewhere else, go somewhere that will treat you like a human being because you're not going to get that here!

I have tried to sell my property through chancellors few years ago and was disappointed at the time & decided not to knock their doors. After seeing their recent success in selling properties in the area and having a very disappointing experience with 2 other agencies, I invited Chancellors to carry out a Market Appraisal and it was Ian Springell who introduced and convinced how Chancellors team have changed and improved recently and he was spot on and the turnaround time was amazing. Ian and team were extremely efficient in expediting the sale of my property swiftly and seamlessly.
The team at chancellors were extremely helpful throughout the whole process from the advertisements to the viewings, open house and to the final sale. I have had feedback on viewings at every stage in the process and they have been very flexible, friendly and approachable. Once I agreed on the contract, it went pretty swift and smooth and I didn't have to worry about anything or give them a call even to find the status.

As a landlord I had such problems when it came to the end of tenancy. Their customers service is appalling. Alterations had been made to my property without my consent. Contacted Chancellors about this - they did not know anything about this despite carrying out periodic visits! The inventory report sent failed to document the changes and I only came across this when visiting the property once tenant had left. Very poor considering the fees they charge.

Initially having tenants in the property the staff were flexible in when viewings could take place and were willing to work around times suggested by the tenants. After multiple failed completions Chancellors did a wonderful job in ensuring that viewings commenced as soon as possible.

The behaviour of some of your staff towards foreign customers is appalling. I would highly not recommend you as a fair and just estate agency. After my partner took out a rental in High Wycombe she has had a number of issues.
Issue 1 - she was told that onsite parking would be available for myself to be able to park when visiting. Only now to be told that the only parking space available is for the use of builders and cleaners.
Issue 2 - the advertisement for the property mentioned that wifi is available. So you'd think as student accommodation that it would be rather reliable. But no! The students within the house are now being told that the wifi is for emergency use only.
Issue 3 - newly refurbished room promised from when she would be returning to High Wycombe from her home country. Upon her return no newly refurbished room. After moving into her newly refurbished room it was a bomb site on her floor nails and screws on floors and unable to access the kitchen on her floor.
Issue 4 - the attitude of your staff in the High Wycombe branch to foreign customers was appalling. After over hearing a conversation between an employee and what appeared to be a landlord they mentioned how and I quote, "we're having issues with the customer as they're Polish". The welcome into the branch is not welcoming.
After having all these issues with your property and company I assure you I will not be recommending your company to anyone. Students beware!

Myself and my partner are first time buyers and have just exchanged on our first property with Chancellors High Wycombe. Our contact at the branch was Stephanie and she has been amazing throughout and has made our experience as stress free as possible, responding to any queries (and I had many) promptly and was always at the end of the phone if we needed to speak to her.
From the first time we saw the house we knew it was the one for us, and Stephanie whilst acting for the sellers was as fair as she could be and was able to get us a viewing ASAP.
Stephanie was also able to recommend a solicitors to act on our behalf who we used and they have been great. They also have financial advisors should you need them (we didn’t use them in the end but there was no pressure and they were happy to advise you even if you didn’t go ahead with them which was great).
I would highly recommend this agency but especially Stephanie, we cannot thank you enough! Now we are just looking forward to getting the keys to our first home!

Chancellors High Wycombe marketed and successfully sold my development of 14 flats in High Wycombe. All released units were sold off-plan 6 months before the build was due to be completed. The launch was very planned. Chancellors arranged for the design of site hoarding and a banner at their offices. This was designed well and really made the development stand out. An excellent level of interest was generated ahead of the launch and on launch day most units were reserved within the first half hour. Following the launch day, all reserved units proceeded to exchange and the finished units have now completed. The target pricing agreed with Chancellors was also achieved. Overall, I am delighted with Chancellors and would high recommend them, especially their High Wycombe team. The whole team (sales and letting) is very switched on and always a joy to deal with. They have so far always achieved the prices set which shows how good their knowledge of the local market is. Stephanie (in sales) is always pleasant to deal with which means potential buyers instantly build a rapport with her. I could go on by praising each member of the team, but would this review would never end then such is the quality within the team. Well done all and thank you! Great job! After spotting a house we really wanted, I called three agents out for a valuation on our house to get it on the market ASAP. Chancellors gave us a very realistic price as there were several on our road with other agent sitting far to high and not selling!
They took a front photo that Thursday afternoon ( no internals) and by Saturday morning we had 13 buyers viewing our house, which resulted in several offers all over the asking price. This enabled us to secure our onward purchase. Ian Springell and Samuel Ford were excellent with helping us secure the right buyer, making sure each offer had been financially checked so we could make our decision with pure confidence. Once the sale was agreed it was passed to Richard Moth in their Sales Progressing team to then oversea for us.
Richard kept in good contact with us throughout the transaction and I felt I could leave them with this until we were in a good place to start confirming exchange/completion dates. The whole process took 10 weeks in total with three of us in the chain. I thought that was fantastic timing and would highly recommend Chancellors as the best agent to use. We also used their in house Mortgage Advisor Khurrum Dad who found us a fantastic deal on our purchase which allowed us to save money for house renovations. They are an extremely busy agent and for good reason as they find the best buyers and prices in today's market!

We didn't end up purchasing through Chancellors in the end, however we viewed many properties with Stephanie Furness who was brilliant. We found her to be very professional, yet still friendly, and we never felt pushed into making any decisions.
A few weeks after we missed out on a property we fell in love with, we received a phone call from Stephanie informing us that the people who had had their offer accepted had pulled out, and as we were the next highest bidders we could be back in with a chance. I thought it was really good that Stephanie remembered us and how keen we were and gave us a second opportunity instead of going straight back to the market without letting us know the situation.
On a negative note, I would say that it was slightly frustrating that when we found a property we wanted to view online, a lot of the time after we phoned up to enquire about a viewing, we were told it was no longer available – I think quicker updates on property status' online would benefit customers greatly.
Apart from that though, fantastic service, and would definitely consider using Chancellors again in the future.

BUT I have to say that I was VERY impressed with the services I received when I asked Chancellors to sell my property in High Wycombe. The house had been on the market with another local agent for several months with no interest at all. When I disinstructed the other agent and instructed Chancellors the difference between the 2 companies was immediately apparent. Chancellors were so much more professional. They kept me constantly updated and managed to secure me a buyer within a couple of weeks (at the price I wanted). I was kept updated throughout the whole transaction, which went through smoothly. So thank you to Samuel Ford for selling the house and Gareth Walsh for the sales progression. Plus to the rest of the team who clearly all worked very hard. I would recommend your services.

I am urgently trying to find a property to move into in the High Wycombe area. My own sale is nearing completion and I don't have the time to mess around. I have to arrange viewings for the weekend as I live 50 miles from High Wycombe. Chancellors come across as complete amateurs. Phone calls are not returned despite multiple messages being left, as a buyer I was assigned to Marion and absolutely no one else would deal with my calls which is ridiculous. Thanks to their incompetence I missed out on buying a house. I understand that the market is flooded with buyers and they can be picky but quite honestly I wouldn't touch them with a barge-pole. Can't comment on any other of their branches but High Wycombe are just not at all professional.

Went on a few viewings with Samuel Ford and was very impressed with him. Excellent service and following up my enquiry which is rare thses days.
Sadly I ended up getting a property through Connells and was not so impressed with the service I received. But they had the property I wanted to no other choice.
Would highly recommend both Ian Springell the manager and Samuel Ford.

The Lettings Negotiator whom we dealt with, Danny, was very helpful and was very active in arranging viewings, suggesting properties and answering questions. Although we had missed out on the flat we wanted we decided to go with another flat listed with Chancellors because of the service we experienced.
The actual process afterwards was similar to any other agency but the initial service and the help in finding a flat was very good in comparison to all other agencies in the area who were dragging their feet and in most cases didn't not even reply to queries and viewing requests.
In all I would suggest to anyone to try Chancellors first.

Thanks to Chancellors High Wycombe I have completely gone cold on the idea of buying a property through them. Complete lack of professionalism, not returning my phone calls and had my viewing almost cancelled even though I never said I wanted to cancel it. When it came to it, the agent was flaky, highly strung, extremely aggressive and pushing towards what hits her targets and not what would be a matching property for me as an individual. Without buyers you have no market, the seller is only half of the story. When it came to it, she mocked me verbally about putting down an offer lower than what is advertised. A very short (thankfully) but very stressful experience, well over and above that of the usual stress level and estate agents.

I recently enquired about some flats in the High Wycombe area and was looked after by a very competent young man called Adam. Although I didn't end up moving through a change of circumstance I was impressed by the speed, the efficiency and most of all the courteous service this young man offered myself and my partner.
If using Chancellors ask for Adam directly I would happily recommend his services to anyone in the area.

As a first time buyer who had limited experience/ knowledge in property buying, I found that the service provided by Chancellors (High Wycombe Branch) was decent.
The sales negotiator who I had for the house viewing was polite and responded to my enquiries quite quickly. The SST consultant who took care of my case after the offer was accepted was also well mannered and did update me whenever she had news from the solicitors. However, for some reasons, the lady seemed to respond to enquiries only on a Friday. Overall, I was happy with my purchase experience with Chancellors.

Chancellors far exceeded my expectations & would highly recommend them. In particular Danny Hassall has been a massive help from the start when we had our first viewing of the property. Any questions I had he gladly answered promptly and kept in contact through out, even checking to see how we had settled in to our new home a few days after completion.

We were introduced initially to Chancellors by Kayleigh, Lettings Manager who was outstanding from the initial meeting, she was professional, positive, informative and knowledgeable and this certainly was a breath of fresh air in comparison to another letting agent that we had been with for a nine year period. It was due to meeting Kayleigh that we made the decision to move agents and have been delighted that we did. Thereafter we met Jamie who was outstanding in his drive and determination in securing tenants for us, he was positive and forward thinking, not only for us as a landlord, but kind, considerate and understanding for the tenants too.

Chancellors High Wycombe - bunch of useless people who know nothing. I have experience from their sales and their letting team.
My first experience came when I chose them to put up my property for sale as they thought it was higher in value then the other estate agents. The fact was they wanted more market share of properties being sold by Chancellors then any other estate agents. After around 4-5 unsuccessful viewings in about 2 months they wanted to slash the price by 5k and still after very few unsuccessful viewings they wanted to slash the price by another 5k when I said thanks and good bye.
On the Lettings side its worse, we wanted to move into a 3 bed house and let our flat out privately. I found a tenant myself for my property who is ready to move in and we liked a house that we wanted in a specific area but unfortunately it is through Chancellors. We thought hard about the issues we will have with the estate agents than actually the property itself. Right now I am chasing up on everything myself from tenancy contract to inventory check-ins (which they want me to pay twice) as everything is upside down. Also a word of advise - their lettings manager has a standard line of "We have another offer" trying to create false demand in order for you to pay up and sign where required. I fell for it couple of times and the third time I said please go ahead with the other offer and, surprisingly, things got quickly resolved. The staff doesnt have the same or right information too... e.g. - one staff saying the owners are moving abroad and second one saying they are moving to a bigger house.
I am really this close on backing off everything even though they have charged me £330 for background checks. I have this feeling that the worst is yet to come as they manage the property too. My solicitor will soon be involved in this process too.

My fiancée and myself recently bought our first home through Chancellors and I can quite honestly say our experience was nothing short of excellent from the very first viewing through to the day we completed and collected the keys. We are both extremely grateful to Michael Tudge who was friendly, approachable, informative and perhaps most importantly patient throughout the process. We would definitely use Chancellors again. The only word that is appropriate is "shocking". From the inadequate description of our property (which I ended up writing myself) to the awful picture they took of the property from the outside, without any warning, on a horrible dull day. At our request they came and took another much better one. On the first viewing we had a call from the agent who was going to show prospective buyers around to say he was lost and on the other side of High Wycombe. We showed these people around ourselves. On a further visit the agent knocked saying she didn't know whether we were expecting a viewing or indeed exactly what time!! Additionally we had to complain and chase the office constantly. We eventually decided that it was better to show people around ourselves. The agents were poorly informed and embarrassing to be around. This estate agency is, in our experience, lazy and ineffective. We have now signed on with another local agency and the experience so far has been excellent..

The poorest service We've had while looking for a house to rent. They booked appointments two times in one month and both times canceled without letting us know. We've got time off work to see those houses and they totally waste our time and money from lost wages. When I phone to ask if someone is coming to show us the property they simply say that they can not get access to the house and that they left a message to tell us (which they din't) both times.
When I tried to rearrange viewing for the first house they said its been let (I don't know how if they don't have an access) We would never deal with them again!
