Avoid these people at all cost, our family has been on property for 3 month now. We have 2 small children and nothing gets repaired, the shower doesn't work properly the washing machine is draining into buckets among several other issues that affect our daily life unfortunately we still have 9 more month to go.

We made the mistake of using SBK estate agents initially. Within 7 weeks we had 6 viewings however, the shining light was charters. We moved to them and had 6 viewings in just 10 days. ***AVOID***
I put my house up for sale through charters. They gave a good pitch and said the right words. Within a week an offer was made, a ridiculously low offer but I was advised strongly to take it as the market was so risky. I said I’d only take the offer if the buyers had a mortgage. Again I was advised they have a water tight mortgage they are a serious buyer. So I accepted. I was told to instruct solicitors asap to get the ball rolling, Which I did. Then silence. More silence. Then when I chased up the sale of my house I was told the buyer was arranging a survey don’t worry it’s all going smoothly..so I waited and waited. Then I got a phone call saying that they buyer could not get a mortgage and I was told to sit tight as they were attempting to get a bridging lone. More silence I chased up constantly and was given excuses or passed to different departments until I was told actually the buyer is pulling out as they don’t have the funds. In turn this cost me £1000 in abortive legal fees. There was no apology and the manner I was spoken to was dismissive and rude.
Awful firm. Avoid AVOID AVOID

Although still in the process of selling through them, I have no hesitation to recommend them to friends and family. I have dealt with Tom and Fred both assets to Charters in Chandlers Ford.
