We moved into one of their properties yesterday in Clapham Junction and we have never had such a smooth experience with an agent. The property was spotless, the inventory clerk was on time and great to deal with and the team at Chelwood Partners had left us a lovely welcome pack and moving in card.
In particular, I have been dealing with Gemma, Katie and Veronica who have bent over backwards to support our viewings prior to move in for measurements, any questions we had and made us feel at ease from start to finish.

It's hard to imagine a better team to get you through what is well documented to be one of life's more stressful events.
Through Chelwood's three partners you benefit from a huge amount of industry experience, but their USP is their personal touch. We felt very well looked after at all stages of the sale process - Ben, Gemma and Rupert are, as well as extremely professional, thoroughly nice people.
We had a couple of complications on both sides of our sale, but they smoothly navigated them to the satisfaction of both parties. Chelwood Partners go above and beyond.

We recently rented out our "between the commons" home. We had a number of other big name estate agents in and Rupert & Gemma stood out. They were straight forward, fair and efficient. They weren't the most expensive but nor were they the cheapest. They just came in with a price that was sensible and asked for a fair commission. How refreshing! We subsequently had other local friends sing their praises and so we had no hesitation appointing them. Their personal care and attention during viewings was noteworthy. They live locally, they attended a number themselves. It's an office full of grown ups. There were no last minute viewings that the freshly appointed intern, with no experience, had to attend! We felt very well looked after and, even with the inevitable few challenges we faced, they were always personally very responsive and helpful. We're hoping to have a similarly good experience ongoing with Veronica, our lettings manager, but we can highly recommend what we have seen so far.

Chelwood sold my home at asking price within an astonishing five days, despite it being the quiet high summer period. We have lived in the area for some time and know all the local estate agent options quite well. Chelwood's service is miles above all the local competitors. Not only do they have a genuine encyclopedic knowledge of the area but they're immensely practical and on hand to do absolutely anything to get the job done quickly and with minimal hassle and fuss for their customers. Even small touches like establishing a group WhatsApp chat to handle the practical points and offering to let tradespeople in and out in the run up to exchange were greatly appreciated.

I used Chelwood Partners on the recent sale of my house in Ellerton Road, Wandsworth. My decision to go with a smaller agency was amply rewarded with the result produced. Rupert, Gemma and Ben performed superbly in locating a buyer, quickly securing a good and fair price on a complex transaction in a difficult market, and subsequently engaging tenaciously with all parties to get the transaction across the line.
The whole team was enthusiastic, proactive, detail-oriented and constantly accessible throughout the process. Rupert in particular was pragmatic and diplomatic in resolving issues, such that no parties involved felt bruised. The full service Chelwood Partners provided was particularly important to me as I live outside London, and was unwilling to contemplate an estate agent who viewed their job as complete once a price had been agreed.

Chelwood, which in my case was Rupert and Ben, dealt with the sale of the above property in a superb and highly efficient manner. The whole episode was brought to a conclusion very quickly, and this was down principally, in my opinion, due to the unique method in which Chelwood operate. You deal SOLELY with a mix of the three mature and experienced partners each with a wealth of experience. You are not passed on to junior and inexperienced staff - which they do not employ.
In my case I was passed seamlessly back and forth between Rupert and Ben - who were both always fully up-to-date with every detail of my sale. They gelled perfectly - and in three way telephone conversations exuded the professionalism of an 'Ant and Dec'.
They are the best firm of Estate Agents I have ever dealt with', and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Chelwood Partners were by far the best real estate agents we dealt with in our house purchase process. Gemma was wonderful in coordinating the process, always available and responsive and made sure the entire purchase was smoothly completed and in a fairly short timeline!
You can immediately tell that they are different from the agents from large real estate companies who are competing with each other and have different incentives. In contrast, Gemma, Rupert and Ben work seamlessly as a team together and jump in for each other to provide additional support.
My husband and I also distinctly remember a house viewing with Gemma few months prior to buying the house we ended up with, because she was so warm and different from other agents in enquiring about our needs and providing advice on what kind of property and neighborhood would be the best fit for it.

Deciding which estate agent to choose in London is one of those tasks no one really wants to embark on as typically it will mean having a sub par conversation with a chump who’s spent more time increasing the size of his tie not than working out how to sell your property. Chelwood are not this. In fact they are as refreshing as it comes and it was such a relief to meet them and start the process. Some may argue that, at the right price, a property will sell itself but during a year-long search we experienced both ends of the real estate agents spectrum and everything in between: from Chelwood Partners' impeccable service to the downright unscrupulous behaviour from another small, local firm.
Chelwood Partners resurrected the sale of our home a year after we were gazumped elsewhere -then more than made up for that disappointment by finding us a fabulous and rare opportunity exactly in our search area.
Our sale was handled efficiently, immediately getting us several offers, then helping sort though those to find us the best buyer. They were always respectful of our home and very accommodating. They also kindly offered advice on potential purchases even if through other agents, were always responsive when we had questions and stayed on top of the entire process.

I have had a property in Knightsbridge for over 20 years and have dealt with almost all the high-end estate agents. Gemma and Rupert at Chelwood Partners have stood out head and shoulders above the rest in their sole commitment to find the most considerate and respectful tenants no matter how many viewings it takes. Renting property in London today is fraught with risk especially with the rise of Airbnb. We have had many situations where the client was willing to pay a year’s rent up front and, on the surface, had great references. However, due to Chelwoods forensic approach to reference checking, they found that these tenants were either a front for Airbnb business or their references in the end were fraudulent. These tenants and or their sub tenants had destroyed previous landlords flats and made other tenants life in the building a misery. I can say with full confidence that if you engage Chelwood Partners you will have the piece of mind that your rent will be paid and your flat will stay pristine

Their collective local knowledge provided the correct advice when selling our house. All Partners were reachable at all times. The brochure and video of the property was first class for quality. Their flexibility and willingness to be accommodating throughout the viewings (we have young children) made it a pleasure, not a chore. Gemma's advise during the sales process and negotiations was invaluable. Trust and dependence are rare characteristics, especially when dealing with the materiality of selling a home and Chelwood gave us reassurance throughout. Rupert made the technical aspects, including marketing seem simple, but there was a lot of work in the background to make sure our property was advertised across all portals and demonstrable, data-led follow ups, gave us confidence Chelwood was working hard for us. We can’t even begin to explain how diligent and persistent Ben was when kindly helping execute the final stage of the sales process by helping get the legal-side of events across the line.
