After being misled on a property purchase by another agent based in Battersea, we found our new flat through Douglas and Gordon, who from the moment we contacted them were professional, transparant, and quite simply a pleasure to deal with.

They understand that buying a property is one of the most important purchases you will ever make, and they made the process as stress-free as possible. Unlike other agents we have come across, they take a practical and holistic approach to their job, which we felt produced the best outcome for all parties.

We were particularly impressed with Oliver Mason, who showed us a property we were interested in on his day off during the Christmas period.

He listened to us and genuinely wanted to find the right property that matched our criteria.

He was outstanding throughout the purchasing process, constantly keeping us informed, and nothing was too much trouble for him.

We cannot recommend him highly enough.

We also had the pleasure in dealing with Tom Howe, the manager of the D&G Battersea branch during the final negotiations. Like Oliver, he was professional and understanding. Having gone through this process on a couple of occasions with different agents in Battersea, we felt that Douglas and Gordon were confident that they can sell their properties, and therefore their focus was finding the right match for us.

Because of Oliver and Tom, the purchase was completed in approximately 3 weeks. We cannot thank Oliver and Tom enough for their hard work in getting the deal done and would wholeheartedly recommend them either as a buyer or a seller.

I would highly recommend D&G for any first time buyers. Although we did not end up buying through them, Will Moore was incredibly helpful throughout our search, and was incredibly professional. He was far more professional than many agents we came across. He really focused on our needs and must haves, and unlike other agents he didn’t try to sell us anything we didn’t want.

We have been “house-hunting” for 6 months and we dealt with a lot of real estate agents from several companies.

Will is different. He is polite, courteous and very professional.

He was always approachable and ensured the transaction ran smoothly, establishing a positive link between the previous owners and us. He facilitated all sort of last minute requests, providing a high standard of service.

We hope we don’t have sell the property we bought anytime soon, and if we do so, we’ll probably look for Will Hunter to market it for us and manage the negotiation.

I had a really seamless experience with Ailie Fraser at D&G. Our first viewing was on time and she pointed out everything we'd want to know, and she also made our experience of putting an offer in very quick and easy - it was a 2 day process from viewing to signing on the dotted line! After our offer was accepted Ailie was always on hand to answer questions (mostly out of her remit!) and came to show us the flat once more so we could take measurements. I wouldn't hesitate to use D&G again or point a friend in their direction.
