I could not thank enough Sian, who helped me secure my mortgage with a leading high street bank as a First Time Buyer without any hassle. I approached quite a few mortgage advisors before Sian but all of them were not as professional and knowledgeable as Sian and not punctual and patient enough to reply your queries and clearing your doubts. The entire process of trying to find a place to rent with connells is aggravating. Took days to get a viewing booked for one property… which they then cancelled on the day before. They had apparently rescheduled me & they couldn’t even seem to get the day right over the phone. Was told Wednesday by one person and Thursday by another. THEY rescheduled for today (19/09/2024) and confirmed earlier today with a phone call. Got to the property 10 minutes before scheduled… waited half an hour with no correspondence and no one showing up. Tried to call, they didn’t even bother picking up the phone. My boyfriend and I are ideal tenants. No kids, pets, adverse credit or smokers. Substantial savings & flexible with a move-in date. More than sufficient combined salary. It’s honestly a kick in the teeth trying to locate properties, book viewings and to not even get the basic expectation of an agent showing up to a viewing is piss poor. Bear in mind if you do make the agency aware you’re looking for a rental, they say they’ll take your details down but turns out you have to tell them the same sh*t every time you phone, as you’re ’not on the system’. And they offer no proactivity in helping you find a home. Genuinely made to feel like a dog begging for a fuss by enquiring over properties.... Read more
