I asked them to sell my property whilst I was away?
FROM DAY ONE,
I had to do all the chasing?
Not just once, all through the selling process?
Asked my daughter to go into the agents to find out what's going on? She got fobbed off, too?
He lost my documents to the solicitors,
Asked me to send copies back to him ?
I had to re send documents to solicitors?
I asked if he could take out a spoilt milk carton from the fridge?the next time he was doing a viewing, He said ????,
2 months later, it's still in the fridge ???
I asked why there wasn't a sold subject to contract on the sign? He said the wind had blown the sign over, the new guy erected the sign, and failed to put sold subject to contract up???
I was very disappointed with the way I was treated?

Connells Stafford have terrible communication and i can’t believe they are still in business. They promise all sorts of things to get your business and then do none of them.
They will promise they will call you back, look into any issues you may have or simply ignore any emails you may send them.
I had wasted 6 months selling my property with them and i can’t get that time back.
If you come across Connells Stafford, run in the opposite direction and keep on running until you find a better agent who is worthy of your business.

I instructed Connells to assist with the rental of a property and they were a delight to work with from the outset. Connells achieved a rental valuation that I was happy with when
other local agents in the area were quoting well below the value that the property could achieve. Connells were also up front about their fees and didn't have any
hidden/additional charges that other local agents tried to spring on me. Will and Megan were pro-active and stayed on top of getting the property marketed and rented. They were both efficient, helpful and easy to work with.
From my experience to date, I cannot fault

Connells sent false allegations to my landlord and instead of addressing it the stafford branch was negligent. I was then told to contact complaince, so I did. The branch manager reviewed what happened however, I was gaslighted further with no apology for this company sending FALSE allegations to my landlord; along with no apology for the lettings manager being extremely rude over the phone. This isn't about what the landlord wanted, I wanted somebody to address why this company sent false allegations to my landlord and didnt even try and rectify it.

Someone called a welfare check on us and now connells is ilegally claiming we broke anti-social clause on our tenancy despite no crime being comitted. Now my children and I have to find a new place to move in 2 months. We were obviously targeted by a neighbor and Stafford branch is refusing to apologize.
Uptdate: Lettings Manager (meg wood) would not let me ask questions and kept cutting me off; she also claiming that welfare checks dont exist in england and that we denied access for an inspection which is not true as Will was here on the 24th and took photos of the inside. She admitted that the reason for the inspection had to to with the above situation. After cutting me off repeatedly and not letting me ask a single question, she hung up on me. We're a vulnerable household as I'm physically disabled on top of having autism and one of the symptoms of having autism is asking for clarification? which, I should be able to do as a tenant. The Stafford branch will also not answer any of my questions including details on how to contact the landlord or what to do with the nettles or overgrown plants in the garden that my toddler touched due to the branch not hiring a gardener prior to us moving in. They're claiming me asking questions and trying to get help from outside the branch is harassment. Avoid stafford branch at all costs.
Update: the branch manager contacted me and did not apologize for sending false allegations to my landlord and i was instead gaslighted further

My experience after renting a home through Connells Stafford branch for 5 years!!! Was appalling. We left the property for the branch to attempt to charge us illegal fees (tenancy renewal fees made illegal in 2019 and the fee the reckon was from 2020 but attempting to charge us for it in 2024 when we decide to leave the property…). The office staff do not seem to communicate. Helens attitude is absolutely appalling, how she works in customer service is beyond me (I have also seen other reviews about Helen’s attitude towards customers).
Months of back and forth arguing over the attempt of them taking illegal fees from my rental deposit could have all been avoided with some simple customer service training and communication within the office. The only helpful member of staff I found was Megan but even then it always seemed she to be rushed off her feet. (probably clearing other staff members messes up).
Overall I would just avoid Connells Stafford for rentals as there is plenty of better estate agencies within Stafford which abide by the rules on letting out properties and are probably more professional and customer friendly

Called to make an appointment to view a home and dealt with someone who was super rude in the lettings team who ‘passed on a message’ for the sales team to call me back. They didn’t pass on the message so I called again and when I eventually spoke to someone I was told I’d need a mortgage in principle to VIEW a property. I’d already advised we’ve got a financial advisor and are in a position to put in offers and they wanted a mortgage in principle PER VIEWING. Advised I’ve never had this request from any other estate agents (why would they for simply a viewing) and they’ve now lost first time buyer business. Amazing they sell anything if this is their process! Very disappointing and extremely put off, will not be reaching out again no matter how lovely the house is.

Absolutely disgusting company.. after spending over £2,000 on surveys and solicitors as there was a severe damp problem with 29 Marsh Street Stafford !
After getting these problems sorted and money in place,
I tried for over 2 weeks to contact the person dealing the house but
I was passed around the office unable to move forward.
I called and emailed to say funds are waiting, I then received an email by a new manager john Hill stating that the house was now being offered for sale as a modern method of auction.
Very back handed company,
Staff don't hang around for long!

First and foremost, no issues with connells themselves at all. Polite when visiting tenants, do they’re job properly, couldn’t fault them. However Helen at the branch, was incredibly rude over the phone with us, then to come in store and be met with the same attitude was a big shame. It’s never nice to be told you’re losing your home, I understand it’s a day to day job for the staff but unfortunately the routine and Rhythm of it being a job has dehumanised the entire journey of it. Not at all happy with the customer service from Helen at all today, it’s one thing being told you have to move but being spoken to the way we were about it, was not necessary and could have been done better!

We had the perfect experience with Connells. We had Sian in particulary & she held our hand throughout this new experience for us, gave us all the options, all the information & was straight & honest with us. We really couldnt have asked for more from her! The team around her, Ryan in particular, theyre thorough, cant do enough for you & seem to have great communication around the office to support one another when somebody may be off on annual leave. Having spent some time with some other competitors as well, I can deduce that Connells has a company culture that seems to be better prioritising their employees than the others. Whoever finds this comment subjective is welcome, but this is what I feel.
I had worked with two Connells staff so far. I am very pleased with both of their communication skills.
I’ve taken mortgage consultancy services from Miss Sian Williams in Connells. She is an excellent advisor with great communication, planning, and follow-up skills.
She has provided consultancy according to my unusual case with utmost care. That was what I was looking for in today’s world invaded by Chatbots, ChatGPT, and OpenAI. It is wonderful to communicate with a professional human being with so much experience who also keeps track of the current market conditions and forecasts. I would highly recommend Sian to anyone for her mortgage services consultancy.
The other staff was the Sales Negotiator Miss Imogen Lees. She had been very helpful and stayed patient with my family’s various asks. Always behaved friendly and welcoming. Hope to work with her in the future again.

Booked a viewing on a rental property for tomorrow morning, however noticed on the website this morning that the property was no longer visible
Left it the whole day for contact to be made to say it was no longer available, heard nothing all day. Called them myself to be told, sorry but it has sold this afternoon, even though it was no longer on the website in the early morning. Booked the day off work to view the property, when arranging the booking we were told it wasn't for sale but only to let, yet now it has sold. Very poor service

I went to see Sian to help us with the process on buying our first home. With the current climate it’s proven to be very difficult, on my first meeting she found a house I hadn’t spotted and went to view that day, we put an offer in the following day and was accepted.
We were getting a bit emotionally exhausted with the process up till this point, she’s been there to answer any questions we have and so far has been excellent and human!
We’re looking forward to finally having the keys to our home and settling in (she’s also invited for a tinny on the day we get keys, to celebrate as she’s been fab!)

After the bombshell was dropped that my lease wasn’t being renewed, the last people I expected help from was the firm who managed the flat for the landlord.
Help came in the shape of two fantastic ladies, Chris & Glynis, who guided me through an application for a housing association, if I’d been left to do it I’d still be pounding away at the keyboard, why these forms have to be so complex heaven knows.
With their help and encouragement I have several “irons in the fire” and feel happier about the situation.
The staff at Connell in Stafford are truly brilliant and deserve more than a 5* review, I hope the top management appreciate the great folk they have working for them.

Keep away from this estate agent at all costs.i have never experienced anything like this. Very expensive to other estate agents, don't now why they perform worse than any others I've used. Ryan the manger is Very Rude and belittling .
Ryan is nothing but a bully, jess is no better. They never followed up on my sale unless I emailed them or called them time after time. I've sold over 8 properties and never experienced such a bad service. I was also lied to by Ryan on more than one occasion. They told me different things and they said they didn't. No communication
in that office at all I've told all my friends and family to keep well away from such a bad estate agent. They don't even rate one star really.

I was blown away by how amazing Connells were with me moving in, especially after having a not so great experience with a previous estate agents. Connells letting team was not well known to me, however I would recommend them time and time again now.
This team has been the first agency in months to treat me like a real person rather than another number. Moving home is an important decision and a stressful process- they have made it such an easygoing and pleasant experience and always keen to help and support requests.
I cannot express how lovely it has been to communicate with them.
As a single parent, this is often all agencies seem to focus on… and I have unfortunately been met with a surprising amount of disrespectful comments, behaviours and direct discrimination from other professional agents in the rental market during my search.
Connells, for a start, did not immediately ask my martial status when calling to book a viewing, they instead told me about the property and discussed my needs and contact information afterwards. Which was refreshing.
I was met with a courteous professional team who made me feel welcome and valued as a potential tenant from the get go. I never felt looked down in at any point.
When viewing the property, Jennifer was so welcoming and happy to answer any questions I had. She truly listened to me when talking through my needs and throughout the application process has always been a delight to communicate with. Even arranged for a more convenient place for me to drop documents to, knowing my circumstances, before I even had to ask.
She has responded promptly at all times and I have always felt well informed.
I’m thankful to have found a letting agency that hasn’t lost its personal approach. If I am ever looking for a home again or buying/selling in the future, I will be heading straight to this team for their help.

We have let out property, rented property and had property up for sale with Connells Stafford, so I think it's safe to say we've tried all of their services.
The customer service is excellent, Ed in particular always comes back to you when he says he will. The cost to let our property was very reasonable and everything was very straight forward.
More recently, we've arranged to rent a property while our house is undergoing some insurance works. It's been an incredibly stressful time but Connells have made life much easier than it might otherwise have been.

We had a very bad experience with Connells, paid for professional photographers they were very poor front of our house shows Dustin as it was collection day,it could have been taken at a different angle spas not to show the bin. So on rightmove this was the first thing you see, the details were in correct after several complaints they were not rectified. We took photo of the front of our house. The on line video first photo of the front of our house was used again showing the dustbin. We pulled out before the 2 weeks, and went with another agent. But we do feel that the poor representation of our house reduced our chance of a sale. Would never use them again.

I can definitely say that working with Jessica made the experience of sourcing the new location an absolute breeze. Everything was handled in a super professional manner. what an absolute joke of a company!!
Me and my partner are looking to buy our first house and we found a house we both really liked and wanted to view, I tried ringing 20 times before I got through and then when I finally did they said we could view it on a Saturday and they would ring to confirm the date and time its been 2 weeks and I've still not heard anything. the house has now been taken off the market, if it had already gone I would rather them just say then let us get our hopes up.
We will never be using Connells again!!

Worst customer experience of my life. The attitude of the manager was shocking, and he even told me I was patronising. Not professional in the slightest. Let someone into view my property without my consent. I would not recommend them at all. Although my house sold within 24 hours, because it was a gorgeous house, the staff in branch had to do very little work for this to happen. My solicitor did most of the work, as my buyer refused to deal with the agents. AVOID!

Very drawn out and ultimately disappointing service.
Initially Went to Connells estate agents to sell our home, got a valuation of £140,000. After a couple of months we decided it would be better to remortgage. The mortgage company sent out connells to value our home. They came out and said they'd send their report by the end of the day. A week later they said they wouldn't value it because it was of a certain construction type (pre-cast concrete). I said they were wrong and began the process of speaking to surveyors to find out what a prc certificate was. I later learned that connells had told the mortgage company our house was a different construction type than it actually was, meaning the mortgage company need a special certificate of repair, but this wasn't possible as it wasn't this type. Secure Trust refised to budge despite me highlighting this error. Eventually they realised their mistake, after I'd sent a detailed email quoting the very expert who secure trust had told me to talk to, as my source. They said my house was only worth what my neighbours house had recently sold for (£130,000).
My house has just been rewired, had new plumbing, new bathroom, new kitchen, air filtration system installed, insulation added to the solid walls to improve the u value, a conservatory, completely replastered and redecorate with new woodwork too (Also has a driveway).
Apparently the valued has remained adamant our house is now worth the same as our neighbours house sold for.
Again secure Trust were very difficult eventually raising a complaint internally, which never went anywhere and forced us to have to start the process all over again with another mortgage provider.
They've added months of delays whilst we've waited for decisions about these issues and even asked us to show them similar houses which have sold for 140,000 in our area, despite this information being readily available to everyone online.
Don't forget also that Connells already valued our house 3 months prior, at 140,000, which we shared with secure trust in writing and even this wasnt enough for them.
Save your self the time and try someone else first.
