Can't fault Connells at all - we have used them in the past as well and always find that they get much higher prices for sellers than other estate agents who want a quick sale.
We took them out for the sale of our current house as well, and We found them very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to to any one looking to do the same.

Maybe this company is more capable in a different branch/department but the lettings sector at the Hinckley branch is truly shocking. You might end up securing you're desired property, but you will be doing an awful lot of the work yourself. The staff come across as entirely lackadaisical and seem to endeavour to put in the least amount of effort as possible. Something as simple as receiving a returning phone call becomes the most arduous of tasks and the team's languorous efforts make the process unnecessarily obstructive and tiresome.

Do not rent house on Lavenham Close in Nuneaton, landlord lives opposite and you wouldn't want to live across the street from that person. When we rented the house we didn't know that the landlord lived opposite and no one told us about it. Landlord will enter your home without your knowledge or consent. Besides, if something breaks, and it definitely will because the house is very old, nothing will be repaired, we lived in a house with a broken toilet for over 6 weeks and the landlord did nothing about it, we had to move out. Connells doesn't help with anything, they lie and cheat all the time. Avoid Connells.

Do not rent any property managed by connells in Hinckley.
When I moved in the flat had not been cleaned despite connells telling me it would, and on top of that there was no electricity or gas. I went back to connells and the office was closed with nobody inside.
This issue was ongoing for a couple weeks and connells basically just didn't care. In the end I sorted out the power and gas on my own and cleaned the place and finally moved in 2 weeks after I started paying rent.
Connells assured me that I'd receive compensation but getting a response from them is like pulling teeth.
In the end I got compensation but only after I went to citizens advice and threatened legal action.
They just don't care. The rent team at the hinckley branch are incompetent and they do not care about anything as long as they have your money.
Since living here (1.5 years) I've had countless issues which connells have been aware of since the beginning but they aren't interested in helping. And now my rent is going up. My boiler needs replacing, the intercom doesn't work, the toilet doesn't flush, my balcony doors blow open in the wind even when locked (arguably quite a serious security risk), and the landlord now thinks its appropriate to put up the rent while connells ignore any requests I make to fix these issues.
The way the hinckley branch of Connells conducts themselves is absolutely despicable and they should be ashamed.
The best advice I could give anyone is avoid connells in Hinckley at all costs.
Absolute crooks.

Connells rarely answer your calls. Potential viewers told me it was really difficult to arrange a viewing. They are too busy having to meet their targets therefore don't act in your best interest but theirs. We had a buyer who was put off buying our property because Connells put tremendous pressure on them to use their mortgage broker.
I just wanted honesty but I believe we were lied to.
We transfered to Scrivens and they were a pleasure to deal with.

Yes Connells do a lot more than just sell your home, they lie, deceive and do not do what is best for the customer but what helps their personal targets! Extremely high fees, 6 months contract agreements (please do not enter into this type of agreement) Connells have been warned about Conditional selling. Check out Property eye industry magazine, you will be amazed at their despicable tricks. On talking to other customers I realise my fears were a reality .Please avoid at all costs whether you are a buyer or seller.

Registered interest in a property right after it was advertised and was informed they are waiting for keys and will call back. Chased them twice and then chased again and was informed that its gone. Pathetic

I completed the sale on my home last week, selling through Connells Hinckley. Chose to sell through them as we were already connells mortgage customers from when we bought the property in 2017 and had a good experience.
In short summary, I think we may have had as near to a perfect selling experience as anyone can hope to have.
I called Connells on a Friday in April 2023 to say I wanted to sell, Jan visited us promptly the following Monday and we agreed to the sale. Within 7 days the photos were done, the for sale board was up, and the team had planned in visits for the Friday afternoon. By Friday night, we had 3 offers and secured above the asking price. We certainly could not have asked for more from the team in such a short space of time, and the sale proceeded.
Throughout the time between the offer acceptance and completion, connells have engaged with us and kept us up to date. Big thanks to Jan, Adam and the rest of the team for smashing our expectations, and making this a quick, smooth sale.
We are also Connells lifetime mortgage customers, and Anil handled our new mortgage for us. With the turbulence in the mortgage market at the moment, Anil guided us through the process quickly and efficiently, and we managed to get our mortgage secured before the worst of the interest rates took effect.
To say we are happy customers would be an understatement, and again a big thanks to all at connells Hinckley for how our sale and mortgage were handled. Great job
