Absolutely garbage, they are more than happy to harass tenants and refuse to perform even the most basic duties of an agency. They even seem to not understand the tenancy agreements that they produce. The staff are often incompetent and obviously only care about the interests of their landlords and not for the tenant. Looking at the positive reviews I can see they are (mostly) from Landlords whilst all the negative ones are from tenants, this should give you a good understanding of this company's priorities. I would avoid this agency like the plague.
Between Penny and Alison we have had a reliable, friendly and professional service. Both even called on days when they were not in the office to make sure we were kept informed, and did their utmost to make everything run as smoothly as possible. NOT the stereotypical estate agents, a much better version.

I have used Martin and Co Hinckley for 2 years or so to let out a local residential property, they have found us an excellent long term tenant and all has been very good. Payments have been consistent and i have never had any need to call. They have saved me lots of time and stress. Highly recommended.
Stay away from this piss poor company. They don't communicate and as far as i can see are only interested in them selves. Twice now we have been lied to and poorly treated by these people. They re-advertised a house that we had an offer accepted on without telling us and we were meant to go and view a house recently and on the day of the viewing a STC went on the house and we wasnt even informed and would have wasted everyones time going to see the house. We also had to assume the viewing was going ahead as they never even called back to confirm. I would be embarrassed if i run a business like this!
First class service from Steve and the team. House advertised and sold within 3 weeks so couldn't be happier. I have dealt with a few other local estate agents and nothing comes close to the attention, support and feedback given by the team at Picker Elliot. Well done guys keep up the good work!
Absolutely awful. I had found the perfect property to rent but I was time limited in viewing due to work commitments. I only had one shot at this and Their office agreed that Steve would turn up at the viewing with documents to sign and he would take reference fees in cash. When I viewed the property and asked to sign the forms he told me that he didn’t have them with him and he couldn’t take the fee because he couldn’t give me a receipt.
I said how much I wanted the property and I didn’t want to be pipped to the post but I had to leave for london.
Steve said that they would email me the forms and I could pay the fees by BACS.
After repeated phone calls to their office all afternoon with no forms sent I was finally told at 4.30pm that someone else had submitted their forms at 3pm and they would be put forward as the new tenet.
If Steve had done what he said he would do my application would have been in first.
I lost out on a great house for me and my daughter because they clearly had no intention of letting it to me. It felt like a complete stitch up.

Never written a negative review in my life but this was a must. Strongly wouldn't recommend.Its not that the business which me and my wife built up sold too quickly, i asked you for the total cost and then asked if this could increase, was told no. I just wanted to know all costs prior to agreeing for you to sell for US.Came to you billing us and guess what....... more money.
The sale went through quickly because of us and the buyer having to get on to your staff. That was a discount price ha ha ha ha!!

What happened to the customer service training and the basic good manners? I was spoken to extremely rudely by Will Scrivin, the owner's son, who was provocative and confrontational and his sister Rebecca did nothing to help by sticking her own oar in.
When I read some of the reviews, I saw a response to a similar complaint from a lady, inviting her to ring and speak to the office manager. So I did just that. I was put through to Will Scrivin, the owner, who at first refused to speak to me until I said that I would write a negative review on-line. The following conversation did little to reassure me and it was clear that the gentleman was totally blind to any possible wrong-doing by his children. With arrogant children who think that they will inherit the goose that lays the golden egg, there will be plenty more dis-satisfied customers in future until they can get their house in order!
Now they resort to lying! When asked to leave, I politely agreed. I was in the car with the engine running when Jamie blocked the exit with his car. When asked to move it, he was threatening and offensive. Odious people!
