My experience it is horrible ! I rent a studio flat 1 year ago . They gave me the key without coming with me, the flat was dirty and didn’t explain me anything about hitting or all the basic information . I had to ask the neighbour. They gave me the flat with washmachine broken and I had to wait 1 month to have a replacement then in winter I have been 20 days without hot water, I had to call the council . Because of the work road and the flat that are building downstairs the noise is unbearable . All the time that I have emailed the agency about issue they did not reply, they ignored me . 1 month before the end of the contract the asked me more money to renew it , I said that it was not fair with all the issue I had and if I could have paid the same . They disappeared . I went several time to the office no one was available , I made call no one called me back as requested . 1 week before the end of the contract I finally found the new manager in the office and I told me he would have let me know . In the end the rent will be higher than before , they ask me 114 pounds fees. I know I sign the contract before June 2019 and is up to the agency asking fees , but I also know that no one is asking for it anymore, just Connells . If I knew in advance I would have not renew it but because they communicated with me 1 week before the end I don’t hang the time to move . Poor customer service ! I would never recommend this agency to friends and colleagues !

Although I didn't buy a property through Connells estate agent in Watford I can not fault the enthusiasm and professionalism that Chase showed throughout my contact with him. He really did go out of his way to find suitable properties. He was always polite, courteous and punctual to viewings. I would recommend Connells Estate Agents.

Kieran is Watford's top negotiator and he has been amazing at finding great applicants for the 100 studio building I manage. Turnover is vast and I couldn't fill the Studios continuously without him.

My experience throughout my property search with Connells in Watford was excellent. Although I didn't buy from Connells in the end, the team were so helpful with the viewing experience as a whole. I started off by speaking to, Simon - I think his name was - he was so polite and helpful getting me in to see a few properties. Ross was also really helpful on viewings and helped answer my questions. I would definitely use Connells again in the future and recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you !!

Terrible!

I was waiting for a response about a deposit dispute on a deposit I put down for a house share.

I rang my local office three times (Great Shelford.) They took my details twice and I heard nothing back. The third time I was angry.

Additionally, myself AND my previous landlord copied in the lettings@sharmanquinney email address into several contacts.

I finally snapped after a month and a half of waiting and called my local office again who gave me the direct contact of someone who got back to me in 10 minutes! What a miracle!

They delivered some disappointing news regarding their lack of involvement in disputes.
Forgetting that, they were contacted so many times that I literally cannot count.....

During this period, I had left the rented property,
moved house at the very beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic in early April,
I had to buy new furniture such as a bed for my new home.
I had been and still am furloughed from work so am not on full salary.
I watched all of my bills from moving be debited from my bank account whilst I patiently waited for someone from Sharman Quinney to contact me........

Bottom line, they were very good at TAKING my deposit but have been ABSOLUTELY, UNACCEPTABLY AWFUL at helping me to get it back.

Sharman Quinney earn interest on any deposits they hold.
I had to PAY interest to my bank whilst being in my debit overdraft.

This experience has been awful and I would urge anyone to avoid them. I didn't even get an apology for the wait, or the ignored emails, or for the fact that my phone calls didn't get me anywhere until I was pulling my hair out with frustration.

They will never see a penny from me once my deposit is returned and I am very unhappy that I went through this during the pandemic. I'm still in my overdraft as I write this.

We could have resolved this in less than a fortnight if you had responded to the emails we copied you into using the lettings@ email address on the 10th of April. Today is the 25th of May and the dispute has finally been settled. Now we wait for Sharman Quinney to accept the agreed final value, return the deposits and I can finally forget about this total nightmare!

Keiley , Erin & Hannah are extremely efficient and professional. They are so quick to respond and sort out everything you need. I really appreciate there hard work and dedication as a team and how fast things are done.
