Very unprofessional. I had a viewing appointment earlier this week. Someone at B & M indicated that the property was currently occupied by tenants and I waited for an appointment. I didn't get any email / text confirmation. However, the person at B & M insisted all is booked and I can come down to the location on the day. On the day of the appointment, no one turned up there. I phoned the office only to note that the property was already sold. Properties get sold, not a problem, but what happened to the curtesy aspect - a real time waster.

Sinead has been showing us properties listed with Brown & Merry for sale for awhile now.
We must say that out of all the estate agents we have come across in the last year, Sinead is head and shoulders above anyone else we have had dealings with.
To start with she is so pleasant, professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Sinead always comes to viewings fully prepared and punctual. If there is something that she cannot answer on the spot she notes it down and comes back to us shortly after. Sinead will always return our calls without fail.
Some of the little things Sinead does really are helpful, like finding a parking space, adjusting viewing times to suit us better, providing us with brochures of every property and informing us of the local area and travel options.
Sinead does this consistently, every time we have a viewing.

Some estate agents can't really be bothered to even try to be helpful. But, as soon as I started chatting with Sinead at Brown & Merry - it was like night and day. Was keen on viewing a house but some 12 year old kid named Mo who they have manning the phones was completely useless in organising a viewing and eventually said that the house was sold despite not being sold.
I went and viewed the house at another local estate agent who were very good at organising a viewing.
I event put in an offer and gazumped the poor person who had the misfortune of dealing with Mo and Co at Brown and Merry. I am currently typing this review from that very house!
Lesson learnt, when selling £500K+ houses don’t put a 12 year old as your front of house!

We recently sold our house through Brown & Merry. They were good at the start of the process but as time went on I found they were not so great. We didn't get regular feedback after visits and I had to do a lot of chasing. I'd often leave messages that were never responded to. However, once a buyer was found, Sinead and Lauren were simply Amazing! They kept me up to date with everything and really worked so hard to get the sale through. I also found Tony, the manager, great at the final stage of selling.

Very disappointed and angry with this estate agents. My mum was in search for a flat to rent, and was very keen about one of the properties listed online - she called Brown and Merry twice, as they kept failing to send her a text/email confirming her viewing appointment. They still failed to send through a confirmation, and we found out from another estate agents website that the property has just been let.
The incompetence from the members of staff are shocking, the viewing was supposed to be today and we did not receive a courtesy call to tell us not to make the travel trip to Watford.
If the people that we spoke with, bothered to take the time and do their job by taking down my mums details, then perhaps they could have let her know that someone else was interested in viewing the flat. Truly disgusting customer service, and will not be searching through this estate agents again.

i was looking for a room and i call them , they confirmed the room was still available and they were meant to send me a txt/email the day after with the address but this never happened. I had to call back again 2 times since i finally managed to see the property. I was happy with the room and the agent ( W. P. ) told me he was going to send me all the paperwork the same day but guess what ? He never did. 2 days later i call them again and the room was gone. I have no idea where to start, this is my first encounter with an estate agency. If I could put a zero star rating I would, the lettings manager Megan was amazing to start with, the turn around time was perfect and so was the flat (so I thought). How this quickly changed from moving day, I have been in the property now for 3 months and have experienced problem after problem. I moved into the property which had not been cleaned by a professional cleaner though I was told this would happen especially being in the middle of the current pandemic, the flat was left in a state by the previous occupier and I had to spend 7 hours cleaning it from top to bottom, the washing machine was not working and had water left over - which meant I had to take my washing to a local launderette and pay for it out of my own pocket for the best part of 2.5 months! There was a permit situation where I have incurred 4 parking charges, the intercom does not work and the post box broken. Currently on my second wave of the heating being broken, the first time being 3 weeks where I reported the issue at least 2/3 times a week but no notice was taken - just fed a bunch of nothing. The branch and the property management company are a shambles. I have been lied to, mis sold the property itself and quite frankly no one could care. No one responds to emails, calls or messages left, is either in a meeting or on their break! I have made contact with whoever possible to have every problem resolved amicably but this has not worked. Looking for a smooth problem free let? I wouldn't advise anyone to visit any companies that fall under the Sequence trading name. The stress, anxiety and how this has affected my mental health is beyond what I can describe in words.

Megan has been quick to respond by email and phone to all queries, and has been superb at finding people to view the property. She has let it in less than a week to a professional person who we are more than happy with and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future. We chose to work with them on a Fully Managed Service due to the competitive rates and trusting them to manage this for us. I couldn't recommend them enough - a delight to deal with a highly professional firm that does what they say they are going to do.

Poor communication, you don’t deal with one particular person but all different, no replies to emails, no feedback, they don’t tell you you have to give a months notice of agreement termination on top of when the agreement is over, you get several market research callers on how they are doing, have to pay extra for professional photos whereas other agents you don’t. I will not deal with them again and don’t recommend.

We recently bought our new home through Brown and Merry. They were incredibly helpful and responsive, particularly in light of difficulties and delays post lockdown. They went above and beyond and really supported the entire process, Jamie deserves an award for his perseverance in communicating with our solicitors for us.
As well as buying our new home, we were also in the process of letting our current property. Being first time landlords was confusing and incredibly stressful but Megan at B&M has been a solid rock for us. She explained everything simply and repeatedly, patiently responding to all our email enquiries and repeated questions. She has been amazing, even had tenants lined up for us before we had exchanged which was fabulous as it took away the stress and worry of having to fund and look after a vacant property.
There is a real personal touch which makes all the difference. We could not praise the company enough.

Special mention to Jake who handled the initialstages of our purchase and branch manager Jamie was exceptional. Jamie also put in unbelievable amounts of hard work with our buyer and their solicitors and we didnt even sell with them he definitely went above and beyond. Have just sold a house with these guys and was really impressed. We had a few agents come to visit initially and Jamie was definitely the one who impressed us most. He came across really well, knew the area and treated us as individuals rather than just another client.
The journey hasn't been the smoothest, which wasn't really down to them, however they've always been willing to engage and work with us, the purchaser, or the solicitors to get this over the line!
Also, special mention to Jonjo for helping us through all of the financial advise! As a couple who have one employed with a challenging salary breakdown, and one self employed person, he's been really helpful and patient with it all and we really couldn't have managed without his help!
